“The part was a universal fuel cap. It screwed in fine but when I went to remove it, the outer cap twisted off and left the sealing element of the cap in the hole. I had to extract it with tools I happened to have in my car. Useless. Two stars because the process to order the part was reasonably trouble free.”

“Avoid Avoid I ordered a WAHLER EGR Valve for nearly £300. The confirmation email stated it would be ready for collection at 11:00 am. I visited the branch around 4:00 pm, but the staff couldn’t locate the item. They said there was some issue with the online order and asked me to wait. I waited for almost 45 minutes. I asked whether they actually had the item available. They kept saying “Yes, yes, just waiting for the confirmation to come through the system.” After all that waiting, the staff member eventually brought out a part from somewhere else. broken and dirty box was inone hand and part was in his other hand, and the item looked clearly returned multiple times. On top of that, it was a different brand from what I ordered, yet he kept insisting it was “the same” because it had the same part number. What a complete waste of my time — driving back and forth and waiting nearly two hours for nothing. No apology, nothing. I just took my credit note and left. Never again.”

“I ordered a car battery on line, picked up half an hour later. Nice and easy. Unfortunately it turned out battery was old stock and discharged, and not suitable to put in the car, also warranty would be void if returned in future as sulfication not covered by warranty. Anyhow, I returned battery the next morning, and staff apologised and ordered me new battery which I picked up couple of hours later, this time it was only couple months old and fully charged, so all turned out good. However I would recommend asking staff to test the battery when you pick them up and ask for manufacture date to make sure it is being sold within recommend storage period and charge was topped up as indicated by rear label. I'll definitely use GSF again.”
