"The FT1006 Plate Loaded Functional Trainer \/ Squat Rack is the ideal home gym product IMO. I say this with a minor caveat that, if you are experienced training on home gyms and you know how gym equipment (with cables) are put together and operate you will get alot out of the FT1006, but the instructions are not designed for anyone who hasn't got some idea how to build this type of equipment without instructions.\r\nAnyone who currently has a half rack\/squat rack with barbell\/plates, you need to upgrade to the FT1006 just for the 100's of exercises it will add to your programming. This build is quite solid but the cross bar that joins the two uprights could offer a bit more rigidity. For the cost it's an absolute bargain to get a fully adjustable Functional Trainer and Squat Rack in one compact piece of equipment... it definitely needs to be bolted to the ground and you have to accept it's not a premium product. Outside of that, the FT1006 offers a level of flexibility and expandability that I haven't seen before at this price point, it's a unique design that suites everyone but leans towards those who prefers barbell\/dumbbell style of training (like me), hence why I have given 5 stars... (but it's not perfect)"
