“My experience with Gym Direct was fantastic regardless of the delayed dispatch time due to COVID. I was properly notified of the delay, and was also notified when the package was dispatched. Time between dispatch and arrival at my doorstep was only a few hours which was incredibly impressive. There was some confusion with the deliver but this was rectified quickly and with great customer service by one of the team. The product itself (two powder-coat kettlebells) are fantastic value for money, and I am already getting a great deal of use out of them. I would recommend Gym Direct for anyone looking for home gym equipment, and I would certainly shop with Gym Direct again. Thank you, team. Keep up the great work.”

“All equipment is great and professional and super happy with it. Only problem was the shipping took 18 days to come when the original email told me it would take 5 - 7 days to dispatch but I kept getting emails saying it was coming then the date was pushed back which was annoying considering I live 10 mins away from the shop. Otherwise all is good happy with the result”

“Ordered July 2. Arrived July 16. Poor communication via email but staff were sympathetic over the phone and managed to get it out. - Please improve communication and check order numbers before responding with boilerplate text. It comes of as lazy and passive aggressive towards customers who are desperate to exercise. Zyzz would not approve of this.”

“Ordered an olympic barbell package. Good quality product. Happy with the order. Delivery was a bit slow and it divided in 2. It took a week before the full package was delivered.”

Unfortunately, split shipments are a process decided by our courier partners and is a procedure put into place on their end as a method of dealing with the huge influx of online orders coming through recently. “Great to deal with, only concern was we had no warning from the courier of arrival despite me ringing Gym Direct to ask them if I could be contacted to ensure my partner was home to assist. Luckily the couriers were kind enough to to get the heavy item down to our shed. Setup was tricky with NO instructions but we are wrapped with the Power wrap once we figured how to set it up…INSTRUCTIONS WOULD BE USEFUL”

“I wanted to buy a standard diameter barbell bar. These were out of stock for quite a while due COVID, but eventually they came in. The Gym Direct website did not adequately describe the dimensions of these bars, but after two or three phone calls I was pretty satisfied I knew what to order so that the bar would fit the rack I had. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it did not fit. The centre part of the bar was too short. After further discussions, I realised that Gym Direct did not have a bar with a centre section greater than 100cm, and I needed 110cm. However, we worked out a way to do it by me buying a longer overall bar and an extra set of collars. They also agreed to pay freight both ways. Soon, the new bar arrived and it was good, but instead of two sets of collars, I got too sets of spring end locks. So now I am awaiting the second set of collars. Through all of this I have to say that Gym Direct were very cooperative. They need to improve their product descriptions, though. Also, I would have preferred a spin lock bar, but the only standard size one they sell has very peculiar dimensions, being short in the centre and very long at the ends. Arthur.”
