“There is a survey for choosing the pillow on the website, wiith height and weight and shoulders and sleep position. It suggested a “30” pillow. I ordered. I was contacted by customer service suggesting a 26 or 24 instead. I took their word for it. The pillow they sent is hard and flat. Only comfortable when lying on my back which is not how I sleep. Causing ear and shoulder pain I don’t know their rationale for the switch, maybe it was just what they had in stock. Decided to give it a try but was very disappointed. Waste of money.”

Queen pillows run thicker than the standards, and we had a concern the thicker Queen pillow might have been too firm for you based on your measurements. “I purchase a pillow per my doctor suggestion. I spoke to someone at headleveler and with some questions they suggested a specific pillow. Received the pillow pretty fast. Felt the pillow to hard so I called back. They suggested a different model. Returned the previous one and tested the new on I felt it was better but it’s hard to judge when it’s in a plastic envelope. So I took it out and took a chance but I don’t like it. Now I’m stuck with it. The service was amazing but the pillow not so much. That’s the problem when you can’t try them before you can buy. Will stick to buying in the stores so I can try them.”

Hi Daniel, Thanks for your review. If you find the pillow still too thick, please do not worry. It will soften up with use during the first few weeks. There are different ways to use the pillow. For instance, both surfaces of the pillow are not the same. One is meant for uniquely side sleepers, and the other surface is for both side and back sleepers. “The first 2-3 days I wasn’t sure if this pillow was soft enough for me. It only took another night and I realized it was a perfect fit! The process of buying a Headleveler was solid. I could customize based on me. And if that wasn’t enough I received a call from someone to go over my answers and made a couple of suggested tweaks which gave me a different pillow. This is what I call REAL customer service! Thanks to headleveler My neck pain and stiffness is gone!”

“So far I really like this pillow but I do find it on the harder side. I almost wish I had gone with the 15 instead of the 18 but I'm hoping it will soften up. I love the support around my neck and shoulders though.”
