One of the questions in the assessment seemed like a trick question - saying that the bribery act actually came into force in 2011 (when the act is the 2010 Bribery Act).

Hi Matthew, Thank you for your review and feedback, we appreciate it a lot. We really value the opinions of our customers so I've passed your comments onto the appropriate team to see if there is something we can clarify for future users. I was informed that the year in the title is the year the legislation was created but it was implemented the year afterwards (so that people can make the necessary changes), hence the 2010 Bribery Act came into effect on the 1st of January, 2011. Thank you again and we wish you all the best in the future. Best regards, Phoebe (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

I thought the content of the training was good but quite basic compared to what one would learn through a face to face training. Great for someone who needs just a refresher but the course is certainly not comparable to a regular safeguarding training received in person. Safeguarding is a very important issue in the Early Years practice and when one attends a real life training on the subject, a lot more is learnt through discussion on each topic.

The pace of content delivery was too slow. Also i couldn't find an option to disable the dictation. Allowing the user some control over the speed paragraphs are introduced would increase engagement for fast readers.

The questions and each module was good but the quiz was hard, I don't understand why you would dry after disinfecting because you will be wiping that away ... some of the quiz did not make sense! all in all ok thou and I passed .

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your review and feedback, we appreciate it a lot. We really value the opinions of our customers so I've passed your comments onto the appropriate team to see if there is something we can clarify for future users. Just so you know, our Food Hygiene courses are based on the guidance provided by the UK Government and the EC regulation. This includes how to properly clean and disinfect a kitchen environment, which can be found on the Food.gov.uk website, here: https://www.food.gov.uk/sites/default/files/multimedia/pdfs/publication/cleaneffective-sfbb-0513.pdf I hope that helps but if you require any further information, please don't hesitate to contact the Support Team directly on 0333 006 7000 or support@highspeedtraining.co.uk. We're here Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm. All the best, Phoebe (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

I struggled with the package stopping .This must have been a poor internet connection at my end since the last units were fine. Does the speech of the woman disappear from time to time?

Hi Glenys, Thank you for your review and feedback. A poor internet connection can cause issues with the course working properly. If this happens again, it may be a case of using a faster internet browser (like Google Chrome). If you're ever unsure, our Support Team is available to help you, if you struggle with this in the future. I hope that helps but please feel free to contact our Support Team on 0333 006 7000 or support@highspeedtraining.co.uk if you want any further information. We're here Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm. Thanks again, Phoebe (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

From speaking with my staff member, the course is just good enough and I will highlight below the comments: The course was really quite in depth. Started with an overview of the course then followed on with topics such as; - differences between leadership and management, a leader is someone who is a confident individual, is competent in their profession, and is able to deliver tasks on a higher level, a manager on the other hand, although important, they are only employed in an occupational level, to ensure the leaders aims are enforced and their workforce are motivated and working to their best abilities. - certain aspects of how if employed as a leader or manager in a troubled business, what would be the first thing you would do. It explained (FED) Future, Engage, Deliver these were the three steps to take in this situation - meetings, that the minimum amount of people to be present at a meeting should be 7, maximum 22, spoke on how you would go about choosing the right people for your meetings, how to start and end a meeting, making an agenda well in advance and delivering this agenda to your attendees so they are prepared, what skills and should you posses during the meeting to keep the meeting focused and so on - time management, explained that most time is wasted on the tasks that are not so important, so to make a time log for the week, and prioritise the time you have to tasks that are important and urgent. It showed how you should allow for a contingency plan, regarding time and money (this goes more in depth in the project management course I have started) - it also talks on emotional intelligence, how well you can use emotions to your advantage and also with moral within your business, how well you can spot if your team is low on moral and how you would overcome this with team building exercises etc - in each module, it gave common life scenarios within different businesses which was helpful, so it would ask how you would apply (X) in (Y) situation --------------------------- Initial thoughts are that the course content is adequate, but the certificate is rubbish. Sent in a plain not card envelope and crinkled and almost home printed paper. Course prices were not obscene however decent certificates would be expected and to be honest if this is the same for the other courses I won't book again for my staff...

Hi Stuart, Thank you for your review, on behalf of Callum. I'm glad that the course material was suitable however I apologise that the certificate arrived in a unsatisfactory condition. The reason that we don't send out certificates in a card-backed envelopes is because they won't fit through most letterboxes and therefore get sent back to us. I have taken the liberty of ordering both of Callum's certificates to be sent out again today, by first class post, in a card-backed envelope - to ensure that it arrives to you in a better condition. I will also e-mail you over PDF copies of Callum's certificates so that you can have them on file - if you need them. I hope this helps and I have passed on your comments and feedback to the appropriate team to see if there is something that we can improve on in the future. If you, or Callum, require any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our Support Team who are more than happy to help or advise. If you'd like to contact us, you can call: 0333 006 7000 or e-mail: support@highspeedtraining.co.uk. Thank you again and all the best. Best Regards, Phoebe (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

Please remove the rat picture as some people have phobias myself included which then makes it difficult to follow what is being shown.

Hi Susan, Thank you for your review and your feedback, we really appreciate it! I'm sorry to hear that the photograph distressed you, due to your phobia. The reason that there are pictures of rodents, including rats, are in the course is because it is vital that users can identify them in their premises for health and hygiene reasons . If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact our Support Team on support@highspeedtraining.co.uk / 0333 006 7000. We're here Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm. Some of the photos used seem to display poor practise. PAT testing information is incorrect. Not sure how much I will retain based on the method and not the content. Face to face is my preferred method.

the on line quiz was too lengthy and drawn out, some of the questions could have been worded better as they were on several occasions confusing given the answers available to the questions, they didn't make sense, particularly the last section.

Hi John, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, we really appreciate it! I'm glad that you enjoyed the training and I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive your certificate in the post, shortly after you completed the course. In the future, if you contact our Support Team directly, we can resend a lost certificate straight away and e-mail a PDF copy too (certificates aren't sent by e-mail as standard, so you'll need to request this from the team). I hope that helps, thanks again and have a nice weekend! Best wishes, Olivia (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

I shall go through the course again for my own benefit but also because I had a number of issues on how the course is presented and there are a few improvements that can be made. There are inconsistencies in presentation and mismatches between text and audio. There is a definite lack of interaction with the user as more review questions should be included throughout each module. I will forward my thoughts by email when I have completed them. It is of course up to you what you do with them. Prior to this course I took the NSPCC Child Protection course which is half the price and presented much better in my experience.

Hi Tony, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review for us, your comments and feedback are highly appreciated. We're always striving to improve our courses and services so your feedback is invaluable. I've passed on your comments about the Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults course on to the appropriate team to look into further. With regards to the inconsistencies that you mentioned, the audio reads the text out at a slower pace to help those that may struggle with reading or language whereas the text appears at the pace of the fastest reader, which is why they are at different speeds. I will keep my eyes peeled for your further comments on the presentation and content, which I look forward to reading and reviewing with the appropriate teams. Thank you again and we wish you all the best in the future. Kind regards, Phoebe (Customer Support, High speed Training)

My issue is that the text was too slow to load on the page. I read at a faster rate than it was appearing and it was extremely frustrating to use for this reason. Content was fine but I found it irritating to have to wait so much and waste time.

Hi Makeda, Thank you for your feedback and review, we really appreciate your thoughts. We have just adjusted the speed, so hopefully if you take any courses with us in the future, you will experience the faster pace. With regards to the Learning Management System (LMS) timing out, this can happen if you leave it untouched in the background for a period of time or if your internet connection slows down or stops. Thankfully, however, the system saves your progress so you can go right back to the same spot. In the future, you can also try clearing your cache, in the browser, which can help with this as well. I hope that helps and thank you again. Best wishes, Phoebe (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

the only suggestion would be of the slowness of the pages to load. as a quicker reader i found it tedious waiting for the page information to load.
