Due to Coronavirus situation I decided to order my new lawn mower on line for delivery to avoid leaving the house. Apparently Homebase have stopped this service so I tried click and collect instead. This service has also been suspended. So I wanted to check my specific item was in stock in my local store. This service has also been stopped. I decided to drive to my local store in Selby to get my item. Having had to wait outside for 20 minutes in a queue I finally got in the store. My lawnmower was out of stock! What a complete waste of my time. The idea is less people leave home unnecessarily to save the NHS. I think Homebase need to address their total lack of respect to the NHS and forcing people to visit their stores when they may not even stock items you want. Homebase if managed efficiently should be booming, instead they will probably be saying profits down and due to the virus laying people off or even closing down stores. Come on Homebase get a grip, companies like Morrisons for example are booming with click n collect, deliveries etc, why cannot you do the same.

I placed an order for goods totalling £167 with Homebase on 10 April 2020 and was happy to wait the 10 day delivery window stated - as an NHS employee, I am acutely aware of how coronavirus has impacted everyone. I wasn’t very happy with being charged £6.00 for a named/next delivery given they could not deliver next day or name the delivery day, but decided to tackle that later. Apart from two generic “sorry we are running behind” emails, nothing. So I waited and then gave up. I emailed to cancel the order and request a refund in line with the instructions in their website. Nothing. Followed it up a week later with a further email. I then got a confirmation email that they had merged my first email with the second, but no answer to my request. I have emailed twice more. No response, no refund. I dealt with B&Q in the interim to get the items I wanted. Not only were the items cheaper there, but the staff were really friendly and helpful - an absolute pleasure to deal with, If I could give this review a minus figure I would, but a zero as a minimum. Homebase are completely incompetent and should have closed down to online orders a great deal sooner than they did as they do not have the systems or basic ability to manage - just greedy. Took my money instantly, but failed to provide the goods and a refund is still outstanding.

I HAVE HAD NO ANDWER TO ANY EMAILS. THERE IS NO CONTACT NUMBER. NO RESPONSE TO A REFUND REQUEST...I placed my order over a month ago and was told it would be with me in two weeks, then I was told it would be with me by May 4th (4weeks after the purchase date) and it is still not here. I've had no update and no one is replying or answering to anything!

Wouldn’t even give one star! Ordered fence paint on 2nd April. Was told it would arrive on 7th! Money taken from my account on 2nd but this is now 15th May and nothing from Homebase. They don’t answer emails, you can’t phone ! Absolutely shocking! Do not shop from them ever!!!

Do not order from Homebase very disappointing. Happy to take payment but no delivery despite a number of promised dates - no longer answering emails and no refund!!

Ordered some bits on the 4th of April. Email was sent to confirm that this will be deliver on the 13th. It's now the 14th of May and still waiting for half of it! Money was gone out of my account in seconds. Asked for a refund 3 times - absolutely no human contact. Find it absolutely disgusting. Will never be using Home Base again. Appreciate it's a tough time for everyone. But if you are unable to manage your business, chances are you shouldn't have it.

Ordered goods 6 weeks ago. Nothing has arrived and only generic auto responses to emails. No phone line in operation. Zero customer service. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

They don't deserve 1 star. I ordered over £200 worth of goods on 13th April with all but one 10 day delivery. I still haven't received all of them, they're mostly turning up as single items. Customer service is non existent. I know we are living in difficult times but everyone else I've placed orders with has given realistic delivery times and delivered on or before, why can't Homebase? My advice would be do not place an online order with them. I will never use them again.

Ordered paint 6th of April. I can accept delays under the covid19 issues but to get the items i was told 30day delivery on before the items i wanted quickest(these were on a 1-2 day delivery) and i would accept even up to 2 weeks under the current climate, i am still waiting for these to come. I have asked for refunds and updates but the customer service is the worst i have come accross. If you have any sense read these reviews and DO NOT USE THIS SUPPLIER THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

Customer services no where to be seen orded garden furniture start of April with a 10 day delivery, I emailed to find out what was happening got a ortemated message back not saying anything important, so wife phoned our local store to be told it's sitting in the distribution center waiting on delivery absolute joke I'm going to store for a refund.

Ordered 4 tins of garden paint on 13 the April, still not arrived 6 weeks later. No contact, no replies to email asking for refund, it's a joke. Those with purchases over £100 can request a chargeback through the bank, but if less than £100 we're left in limbo!

This is nuts order on 8 april 2020 fortnight after I got my seeds but rest order missing . I try contacting them emails and fb messages no reply . but homebase have take the money out of my bank account . Avoid this company if you dont want heartache because it became clear they dont give a toss about there customers .

Paint ordered 14th April. Still waiting despite being informed 7-10 day delivery. They have sent me the brushes I ordered though.........must be wanting me to practice my brush strokes in anticipation karate kid style.

Ordered items in March. Some of them arrived but still missing £126 worth! You only get auto responder emails if they reply. Requested a refund ages ago but no response. Homebase you have wasted everyone's time and money taking too many orders. You're still taking orders when others have waited 6 weeks for nothing!

I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. Never in my life have I come across such appalling customer service. Doing the right thing during lockdown, we ordered all our fence paints, brushes etc. from Homebase using their delivery service. That was on the 7th of April (5 weeks ago!). After a week we tried ringing, but no doubt due to the volume of complaints they'd turned their phone lines off and would only take emails. We've since sent a further 2 emails, messaged them via their facebook page and an internet enquiry. Still nothing and still no phone lines open. Worst DIY store by a country mile - do not even risk ordering from them!
