Order arrived late (which would have been fine if only they would keep customers updated) one item out of 2 completely smashed. Branches wont accept returns 'in case of contamination' and no customer service phone line in operation. I was told by my local branch to hold on to the item 'until all this is over' Only available communication is an online form , I wont hold my breath for a refund then. The invoice that came with my order still states that you can return items to stores and gives the customer service phone number. Useless

Do not buy anything from homebase. I wish I knew this before I ordered something online. Then looked at twitter and saw the hundreds of people asking where their stuff was. I ordered something on 4th April. It still hasn't come. Now i want a refund. Luckily it only cost £26 which is less than some people who have lost hundreds. But I still want my money back and they are ignoring all emails. Awful company. I dont think they ever had any intention of sending the item out but were quick enough to take my money.

Order placed 29th March. 10 day delivery. Was informed there would be a few days delay( acceptable in the circumstances), 4 weeks later. Nothing. Cancelled via e mail, no response, sent another e mail to reiterate I've cancelled order. FedEx messaged 1st May to say they were delivering on the 4th. Number of items was 5. Odd as my order was for 9. Told FedEx not to deliver, id cancelled the order and contacted my bank to claim my money back. No response to e mails. No phone line whatsoever. Beyond appalling.

What wrong your still taking people orders and money . But you cant cope with orders you have got. I order on 8 April 2020 online . I got 2 packet of seeds 2 weeks later but rest order I still not got . Try email you message you on facebook more than once . And not once have you reply to me . From what I read there other customers having same problems . It disgrace to treat your customers like this and Ignore them like this .

Dreadful services. Homebase took my money but did not give a confirmation email and I received no goods for an order I placed on 30th March. I have emailed and phone and have had no responses. Disgraceful service and I want a refund!!

I ordered two garden forks on 7 April. Delivery quoted 13 April - still haven't had either the garden forks or my money back! Sick of sending emails. Insult is - I'm still getting emails advertising their on line shopping! Won't shop with them again even after lockdown ended. Service is non existent.

Ordered a pressure washer online 5 days later relished Homebase had taken 2 payments valuing £350 ! Emailed straightaway with the issue but only auto replies telling me how busy they were !! 4 weeks later 2 pressure washers arrived by the same courier on the same day !! Had to wait till stores opened to take one back for refund !! Lady at the till asked why I ordered 2 !!! Unbelievable talk about incompetent !!!!!!!!!

Ordered 4 items beginning of April. Stated delivery would be within 10 days. That came & went. Had just 1 automated email saying 'We haven't forgotten you. We're doing all we can to get your delivery to you' Well, a month on & absolutely nothing. Won't return emails. Tried ringing, was told all the usual things, sorry to hear that your delivery is still outstanding. We're doing everything we can. You will receive an email 24 hours before delivery. Totally fed up of waiting now, Especially as I ordered some other items from another large hardware retailer & guess what..... Yep ordered & delivered within 5 days. Great service from them I would of given this review zero stars but, it wouldn't let me. I definitely do NOT recommend Homebase. Do NOT order from them

placed an order 1st april for rattan furniture paying 12.50 for delivery received 3 emails up to 21st april delaying the delivery last one saying 26th delivery date needless to say that day has come and gone with nooooo communication since then what is going on Homebase please rectify, dreadful service 4071503579 order no

Placed order on 4 April for items with 7 day delivery which was fine, paid £6 delivery charge .... still waiting for order as at 6 May. Various emails received with different dates for delivery which came and went with no delivery. Managed to get through on phone to local store and given different explanations by different staff every time I call. I have also written to their head office in Milton Keynes. Other companies I have ordered from have all fulfilled the orders on time. On reading all the reviews here I see this is not just affecting me .... Homebase are still taking orders on line (and customers money) when they can't even deal with ones they have taken from weeks ago. I will be reporting them to the trading standards office and urge others to do the same. I will never again use Homebase as this service has been rubbish.

Absolutely appalling service. I will not ever use homebase again.. I ordered goods almost a month ago and when ordering I had a delivery slot window.. that's been and gone a generic email has been sent out thanking me for my patience.. well my patience has run out. Send my goods or give my money back. I wont be using or visiting your establishment again.

Placed an order which was to be delivered within 14 days. That was 22 days ago. Impossible to contact anyone in the company, the response is a genetic e-mail that tells us what we already know. No update nor any attempt to give a reasonable delivery date.

Don’t take my word for it, just search twitter for #homebase and #avoidhomebase. They do not allow tweets to appear on @homebase_help without their permission so this is not accurate. This company is truly awful and by how they are treating customers they will not survive.

I placed an order on 9th April which has yet to arrive in full. While I fully understand the global pandemic has effected usual business I would appreciate some communication that reassured me my order was still in hand. The delivery time stated 10 days and at present I have been waiting 26 days. Customers have been misled and random round robins stating delivery queries will not be dealt with is not acceptable. Homebase should offer updates to those customers who continue to wait after purchasing from the site in good faith. I am certain reviews would be better if expectation was correctly managed at the get-go and there was honesty about delivery timeframes. People will understand given current circumstances but service offered to customers who bring business is lacklustre at best and dismissive at worst. Very disappointed.

Ordered a shredder before the lockdown and after 3 weeks of nothing I asked for a refund by email . Well 3 emails and no response later they tryed to deliver the shredder which I refused and emailed again for a refund still 2 weeks later again now 6 weeks in total and no response and no refund and I'm still £120 down and the store now open and got them to answer the phone but they don't deal with online orders just shop orders. will wait for covid 19 to be over and go small claims if necessary.

If I had choice of zero stars this is what I’d choose. Ordered paint 4/4, paid £6 delivery charge with 7 day delivery expectation but today as at 5/5 still no paint. I’ve received emails confirming delivery dates that have come and gone and now managed to contact local Homebase and received differing explanations all of which appear to be that I am being fobbed off. I wait in hope for a delivery but have no confidence that I will receive this. Advised on phone by Rayleigh store person yesterday they had some in stock so I went this morning to get this. Got in the queue and was told they had no paint in stock and they were not giving out refunds. Other items I have ordered from different retailers have all arrived on time. Appalling customer service from Homebase ... I wish I hadn’t bothered.

I placed two orders over a month ago, one of which I have now cancelled but received nothing back from Homebase. The other I was finally told would be delivered by Monday 4th May.. still nothing! No goods or refund. Essentially Homebase have stolen from me and I have no way of contacting them (no direct replies to my messages and no customer care line to call)

Ordered almost 4 weeks ago. Paid £6 for delivery. Only received part of the order. Still waiting for the rest. Can't plant the seeds that they charged me a fortune for until they deliver the compost. Wish I had gone elsewhere. They were quick enough to take my money. Will never use homebase again
