Avoid Homebase!!! Ordered a patio garden set over 4 weeks ago - on 8th April was emailed to say item would be delivered within 7 days! Heard nothing since. Shame on you Homebase … all your competitors are coping and delivering within time frame. If you can't cope why do you continue to take more online orders and peoples money. The Great British public will remember the professional companies that served them well and were honest during these uncertain times, these will be the surviving companies ….. I don't think Homebase will be included in this group.

Took my money, didn't deliver the goods, cancelled my order, haven't refunded my money. All I have had is generic e-mails, one which said " if you have requested a refund don't ask again".

Unable to contact Homebase regarding an online order. Quick enough to take money but will provide no update - dreadful customer service.

I placed an order online on the 21st March 2020 with Homebase. I received part of the order a week and a half later. However, 5 weeks on from order date no sign of the rest of the order and no response from Homebase to my 3 emails since then (1st April, 7th April and 17th April). If anyone from Homebase is looking at reviews here, my order number is 4071225980. During these difficult times when almost all businesses are trying their best to offer customers great service in order to stay in business, Homebase appear to have decided they can run a business without customers and customer service. I appreciate these are difficult times but this is beyond pathetic. I have always shopped at Homebase because of the convenience but after this experience I will take my business elsewhere. So if anyone is thinking of doing business with Homebase be prepared to have no delivery and no after care customer service. Oh by the way, they will take your money as soon as you order as well.

Ordered fence paint 5 weeks ago. They took payment and still not received anything. They are taking money to try and stay afloat with no intention of delivering goods. These deserve to go busy will never be going back.

Ordered a lawnmower on 26th April. Homebase took my money and gave me an exact delivery date of 4 days later. I waited in all day. Nothing arrived. No update, explanation, email, or apology. No 'phone number to be able to contact them. I emailed - no reply. 3 weeks went by. Still nothing. Fed up and frustrated, I emailed asking for a refund. Not even an acknowledgement. Now 5 weeks later, I have no lawnmower or refund. During this crisis I have received numerous other home deliveries from other companies who seem able to fulfil their obligations without problem - but not Homebase! Management heads should role over this shambles. Appalling (non-existent) customer service. You will reap the whirlwind when this is over. Never again will I shop with you.

Everything to do with a on line order. Awful, response terrible. Only Part order came. No communication. Asked for other part refund One order nothing. They are unavailable to be spoken to - asked for refund nothing One order arrived need a refund for delivery as I collected. One order promised refund - nothing. I can’t speak to any one. No sensible response to emails. Just don’t use. Give them time to catch up! It’s rude and bad mannered not to answer calls emails etc - just standard reply there will be no reply. Other words shut up and wait.

Ordered garden furniture in March.... still heard nothing!! No answers to emails etc. You need to give an idea of deliveries... I understand there is a delay.. but, how much of a delay? Should I be expecting a delivery this week.. this month? Its MAY this week.. I ordered in MARCH!! An indication of 'how' delayed your deliveries are should be openly displayed for your customers... you need to be a bit more transparent and informative with your customers. I'm sure you are not adhering to the consumer credit act? My customer order number is 4071431454 .. would like a response!

As per most, ordered lawnmower to be delivered almost 3 weeks ago, not able to contact via email or phone... I know these are strange times but that shouldn’t be an excuse to take people’s money then ignore them. Most other companies seem to be coping much better than Homebase, very poor customer service indeed. Will never use again.

We have spent nearly a grand on garden furniture. We purchased on The 10th April and still nothing. Not a word. I totally understand in the current situation that there are some delays. We have taken on the garden as a project to try and keep our heads straight in these tough times, but sadly homebase have made these times worse. Please do not order from them.

Ordered a lawnmower at start of April, to be delivered to my daughter, 50 miles away. No delivery so far, no answers to emails, no phones answered, I have reported them to local Trading Standards , and to BBC Watchdog, I suggest others do the same. Name and shame Homebase.

Ordered a Rotator on 6th April and selected a delivery slot as website asked for, stayed two days instead of working as a key worker after Money taken and slot confirmed, now going on 21 days, no response from Homebase e mails blocked with a general response telling you not to contact them. I appreciate 'virus times', but others managing to deliver and also communicate, will not order through them again, but they have my money and don't respond at all, no tracking details, nothing, might claim on my credit card if nothing after a week then it would have been a month

As I can see from other reviews here the delivery time of orders is ridiculously late. My order is now 3 week old and again the items were in stock at the time of order and they took payment on the day. I have given due consideration for the covid19 disruption to service but I do feel that Homebase are taking advantage of the situation. This is a very bad time to highlight lack of customer service.

Ordered 2 tubs of fence paint on the 28th March and STILL WAITING for it to arrive. Have emailed asking where it is but surprise surprise I have had no response. They are quick to take customer’s money but their service is absolutely rubbish. Other companies seem more than able to cope with the current situation and we all understand that items may take a little longer to be delivered but Homebase we’ll all I can say are a complete joke. Going to try and get my money back but don’t hold much hope. All I can say is STAY WELL CLEAR OF HOMEBASE

We have ordered 2 pots of fence paint and a brush 4 weeks ago. It was due within 5 days. Homebase have happily taken our money, however I have chased my order via email 3 times. The third time I had a response to say the paint was coming from the supplier directly to us and out of their control as to when it will arrive. The phone lines are down and have been for 3 weeks that we have been trying to chase. I have just email for an update and it says emails are blocked. If they can’t deliver they should not be taking orders. Customer service at the moment is awful / non excitant. Sort it out Homebase!!!!!

Home base dismal I ordered finch wood stain three weeks ago kept getting emails to say sorry for non delivery having paid to get my item delivered to my home address finally get a email to say I could pick the item up at there moor allerton branch miles away from my address picked the item up yesterday finally got email this email saying sorry for non delivery having took my money for the item and the delivery change I would have though the delivery charge would have been refunded no I don’t think so numerous email sent to there customer service department not even a reply very poor service

Ordered goods on 28th March - still not arrived but money taken that day. I understand the order might take longer than the 3 days stated due to the current situation but come on. I have emailed 3 times to try and get an eta but no response. Have given up and ordered from Wickes click and collect (adhering to the 2 metres guidelines) I have emailed to cancel the order and request a refund - I wonder how long that will take to get my money back. Homebase get your act together like your rivals B&Q and Wickes. Yours a normally loyal Homebase customer!!!
