Terrible Service Hides Behind Emails No Tel No Poor Returns & Customer Service Do not, I repeat do not use this company! If you want to be let down by receiving faulty goods and then having to pay for the return without an guarantee that you will get a full refund then go right ahead. Try and call them, think again you cannot call them and they will not call you if you purchase through the website and will hide behind email. Oh yes, you will await 5 days for a manager to email you to just be sent a template letter. Not good enough Anthony Mcerlane!! Once they have your money they don't care. Save yourself alot of time and heartache and Google the product you are looking for, you will find a company which will look after you much better for probably the same price. First and last time using HOF.

I was drawn into The House of Fraser store, in Croydon, when I saw the windows plastered with signs indicating 20% off House of Fraser, as well as numerous strip signs crossing each other also indicating 20% off in store!!!! Having chosen a dress which was from Quiz I was somewhat surprised and annoyed when I was told the 20% offer was not applicable to this dress but only on "selected" items. This was pointed out to me in the extremely small print at the bottom of the poster. So small, in fact, that it couldn't be read from the street. Having tried to explain to a very hard nosed and extremely obnoxious woman manager at that store that the window was displaying 20% off in store, I gave up. I suggest the use of EXTREMELY TINY PRINT, WHICH CAN'T EASILY BE READ, is a deliberately devious act on your part to mislead the public into thinking everything is 20% off. In future, your operations should be honourable enough to put the "selected items only" caveat in the same size type as the "20% off" offer. I won't be buying anything from your stores again and that "so called manager" is a disgrace.

No ability to call someone. Have to pay to get items delivered to store. Delivery takes absolutely forever to even get processed. Unable to cancel - have to wait until the items eventually get delivered to store ( goods haven’t even been dispatched 1 week after ordering). No wonder it’s in financial distress.

If I could give no stars I would. Delivery is now via Hermes , the service is poor with Hermes saying the items have been delivered when they have not. Contacting House of Fraser is difficult, the only option being online chat which is pretty useless. Hermes wont discuss it but refer you back to HOF. Goods eventually arrived in damaged packaging and now the cost of returns is all paid by the customer as well as the delivery cost. I used to buy a lot from HOF but will never use them again. Sadly they no longer resemble the company they were when it comes to service. Unreliable, Unhelpful and expensive. AVOID.

Customer service is so, so, so bad in the past year. Policies change and you don't know. Can't return anything without paying to return, even when it is a fault! £17 to return bedding that is a totally different colour than shown and described, and they won't refund me postage. Can't even return in store now. Used to be great, but they are awful now.

Visited the store to return a faulty chain I had bought from Hobbs for my daughter's birthday. Received the most diabolical treatment who claimed to be the Store Manager there (she also claimed to be a lawyer). She abused her power, calling security on myself and my sister to be removed, I was aghast and security did not remove us as there was nothing to be removed for, they too where somewhat confused. She caused an extreme spectacle of herself in front of her staff too. As a life long shopper who spend good money at HoF it sure has changed. This was all to do with an exchange for a faulty chain but when I saw her behaviour I did not want that store to have my hard earned money. As we could not be removed, she decided to get more spiteful and said I could not have the full refund and replaced the broken chain and a receipt for less money than I had paid for it. Despite having my statement as proof of payment. She clearly was clueless as to the law and sales of good act when it comes to faulty goods. However, good did transpire, I was able to go to another branch of Hobbs, explained what happened to a wonderful Store manager. Full refund, she did not even ask to see my bank statement. Avoid this branch at all cost, this woman is vile.

Ordered 3 items totalling £100+ then charged postage £4.69 . I item received not as the description on line, the other two items were never delivered and refunded 2 weeks later. Then to return the item that they misrepresented on line i had to pay another £4.99 postage. So in summary my shopping experience with HOF cost me just under £10 for no goods whatsoever would i recommend HOF to my worst enemy. NO.

I find House of Fraser return policy appalling and inconsiderate of their customer. Customers are expected to pay for postage on return items and they do this unapologetic. They mess up your account with their double charges giving some unacceptable reasons why they do this. Their online business should be shut down !

NEXT DAY DELIVERY??? I ordered a few items for my son’s birthday yesterday, for next day delivery. When I spoke to customer services today via online chat, they informed me that there is a delay at the despatch centre and the goods wouldn’t be delivered today, so they would refund my delivery charge. I explained I would’ve ordered the goods elsewhere if they hadn’t got the goods in stock! An apology is simply not good enough! Don’t offer NEXT DAY DELIVERY if you can’t deliver the the goods!!!

The reason house of fraser has gone down hill is because it's now sports direct just hiding behind the name house of fraser, I am not going to call out the staff, it's not their fault it's under staffed, maybe it wouldn't be understaffed if mike ashley didn't offer zero hour contracts, he is known for treating his staff like rubbish, it's the poor staff I feel sorry for, the reason you can't find anyone at a till point is because no one wants to work there due to the ownership it has now and the zero hour contracts it now offers, the old house of fraser is long gone

Appalling company- wish I had read reviews before ordering. Ordered a quite expensive dress and a less expensive bra for next day delivery. Only the bra arrived! Turns out that hof didn’t have the dress in stock anyway, but they have still charged me the full amount. I have now payed overprice for delivery of a bra that’s less important without the dress..and will probably have to battle to get my money back from the dress I didn’t get. Looking at the confirmation email I got, it does state in the bottom line that they don’t have the dress in stock, but why didn’t they then charge me in the first place!! For an online company it shouldn’t be possible to sell items that are not in stock! Shape up your HoF!!!!!! Will never shop at HoF again, online or high street

I would give 0 starts if I could. I ordered things online. Firstly, one of my items was out of stock, they told me this only after I ordered, they couldn't say it as I was shopping. Then, the items came and they looks nothing like the website: cheap, horrible, like I bought from poundland, not HOF. Then, I open a bag labelled "0-3 month old baby-suit" and there is a massive bra! Which needles to say, I never ordered. They messed up obvs. So, to top it off, I contact their shameless customer service. I swear some machine was talking to me and not a person. This "monika" told me that she will send me a return label to send the item back and THEN get refunded (mind you I don't have a printer, so now they are inconveniencing me to go out find a printer , and go to post office), and the worst she said is I won't be getting a refund, if I returned any of the items, but store credit. Shame on them, I thought they were a good store. They are horrible, like out of a third world country, not one of the biggest chains in England. I will never ever buy anything from them AGAIN.

I have been a regular customer of HoF for many many years, sadly the shopping experience has declined over the last couple of years but since it has new ownership online shopping is no longer competitive and costly to the customer. On almost £300 of goods I had to pay £4.99 postage where other companies are free but as nothing was suitable when I returned it to the store I was met with it has to be returned by post and at my expense, again competition is free returns. It cost me £11 so I paid £16 out plus a wasted trip to the store for nothing. Sadly this is the end of a long relationship I will not be purchasing from HoF again! Others take note re online purchasing costs!!!

The worse shop on planet. Waiting for my refund for two months now. They have been ignoring my emails. I am considering legal action and will be contacting my solicitor. I give a VERY NEGATIVE Review of your service (-10). People beware!!!! House of Fraser has lost its reputation. Very sad. Will not be buying from them again. Ann

Tried to purchase something in homewares in the Victoria store, as per usual there were 0 staff to be found so waited for 10 minutes at the til and then went hunting for someone so i could make my purchase. I was then verbally abused by the male member of management staff I located who was meant to be serving me because i was trying to make my purchase partly using a credit note. I was accused of being an "idiot", trying to "rip off House of Fraser" and had vile misogynist comments made at me simply for trying to purchase something. The CS team told me I had to go back to the store and deal with it directly with them because it wasn't their policy to deal with things that happen in store, problem being if he was management he wasn't going to escalate a grievance against him and why should I have to go back to deal with some one who swore at me? On top of that i eventually completed my purchase online it was sent to me and was faulty, i had to pay £15 to return it because you can't return online orders in store you have to return at your expense and now I have to wait up to 30 days for a cheque with my £15 back!! It's honestly no surprise they're going under, no staff and when you do find them they're abusive, terrible customer service and faulty products!! APPALLING!
