Purchased 2 items for my sons Christmas present . Got the wrong colours went In today to TelfordHOF Extremely rude , abrupt woman served us . No customer service , my receipt was 1 day out of date . She wouldn’t swap them for alternative colours ! Explained they were just wrong colours and son was disappointed however her reply was “ no valid receipt no swap” the tone of her voice , manner was appalling ! Even if HOF was selling things in future for 1p I would NOT give them my money EVER AGAIN Assistants seem to forget that we the customers pay our money to purchase goods which in turn keeps them employed ! Drop the disgraceful , disrespectful attitude HOF I then went to Debenhams and spent £150 on items needed rather than purchase similar in HOF

Awful service, guaranteed Christmas delivery order has sat at ready to ship since ordered a week ago. When you contact them get an automated email and that it. The web chat is taken offline so you contact through there and there is no telephone number. Go through once, by luck i think, on web chat and they told me to wait for the delivery period to expire? This was yesterday the day before Christmas eve. Avoid and use another supplier

Very rude and lacking in customer service at the accessories counter in House of Fraser Milton Keynes Store. In particular the two Managers Maria and Barry. I returned a couple of Barbour gift sets that were purchased in haste having just returned from abroad. Upon returning them a week later with their receipts Maria made me as though I’d acquired goods dishonestly and had an ulterior motive for returning them. Complaining to Barry was a waste of time as all he did was try and justify her behaviour and instead look for the slightest excuse to get away. The caliber of some of the staff falls way below the standards expected of what was once an upmarket prestigious department store. Perhaps it’s just as well it’s closing down

Ordered a christmas present with next day delivery, still waiting almost a week later. I have tried to webchat, email also emailed sports direct no answer to any. I tried numbers I'd found on the Internet just disconnected. Rang the stores who claim to have nothing to do with the online service. Please shop elsewhere save yourself the hassle.

I really should learn not to have anything to do with this company, I saw something I liked and ordered it for next day delivery at a cost of £6.99, and here we are 5.30pm and no email and no delivery I would be very very surprised if it turned up now. Have these people got no consciences they must no when they take our money that they are not going to fulfill the agreement sham on them! Can't something be do e to stop this misjustic.

DO NOT order online with HOF. Customer service non-existent. If your delivery doesn’t arrive, as mine didn’t, you are basically stuffed. I don’t know if they have always been this bad or if it’s the sports direct effect? (Another company I would never shop with) but the sooner they go out of business the better!!

Where to start? Place an order on line, confirmation to say 'order recieved', 1 week later not even received a dispatch notice! Trying to cancel the order.... nightmare and still no resolution. Online contact method worse than useless, cant get to speak to anyone and all mails and online forms ignored/not actioned. I am trying to still cancel the order with no joy weeks later and no notice to say its been dispatched! This cowboy outfit are f*****g joke! Dont use them, there are truly shocking with no customer service!

Visited the Bluewater House of Fraser branch today. I found it impossible to find a pay point. After 10 minutes of wandering about I finally found a member of staff who said the signs had been taken down so Xmas decorations could be put up! I met another chap who left his potential purchases on a sofa and left the store as he had tried to find somewhere to pay for even longer. We are constantly hearing the High Street is dying. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why. The lady at the till I eventually found said they have been telling the management team to replace the signs as customers are becoming angry but the staff are not being listened to. BHS was like this before it’s collapse. Is HoF next? Wouldn’t surprise me

You can't contact this joke of a company, they sold me a product that was not in stock and I can't contact them to cancel the order. I would not have made the purchase had I known this product was not in stock, I attempted to contact then as soon as I received the amended order but this is almost impossible, I will now return the items I receive at my own cost but a simple chat to a customer sales representative could have stopped this. I would say they don't even have customer service employees or it wouldn't be so difficult to contact them...... If I could have given no stars I would have.

Paid for next day delivery items already 2 days late. Will not order online again (this will reduce the likely hood of shopping at house of Fraser.) Hermes delivery is appalling.

This is the email I sent to HOF, Rowena. To date no reply. My name is Soraya, I visited the House of Fraser Store yesterday. While at the store my partner and I went for Tea at the Tea Terrace. Sadly, my experience was quite disappointing, very upsetting and left me feeling angry. I'm a wheelchair user, having had a car accident. You get to adjust and manoeuvre a wheelchair, having a instinct of what is possible, or not. My partner and I went and sat at a table that was free, allowing me access to wheel my chair under the table, having recognised that the other places to sit would have been a 'tight squeeze' and impossible to sit comfortably. A member of staff, or maybe you came over to us. Instead, of asking us what we would like, asked me 'how many if ys were there?" I explained it was just the two of us, and I tried to articulate the reason why we both sat at the table. Again, the member of staff tried to direct us to the other tables, where it would have been difficult. By this point, and her looks of annoyance directed at us, my partner had enough of the ignorance and terrible customer care shown to us, asked her to move out the way, so we could leave. Only, at this point, did she seem concerned, and tried to argue her rational for wanting us too move. I'm so upset by our experience. We were not blocking anyone access, nor preventing others joining the table. Her lack of understanding, and disability awareness stunned me. No one should be made to feel they are not welcome, or a hindrance. My question to her would be "would you ask others to move" would she comment in the way she did to me to others? I doubt it... Perhaps some disability awareness training would benefit staff. I am offering my services to come and speak to staff. I do hope you take my communication seriously, as you potentially leave yourself open as a business to negative feedback, and complaints and much more. I look forward to hearing back from you. Do not buy from house of fraser online as they take your money and nothing arrives and then they make it impossible to contact them. Over three weeks have passed and still no goods or answers only a matter of time all their staff are out of work :( H.o.f rest in peace

I am extremely disappointed with the u-turn on your no-fur policy. Animals like rabbits and raccoons spend their entire lives locked up inside filthy cages. These animals are beaten and skinned alive. How sad is that a big name like House of Fraser supports the suffering of these animals.

Avoid Avoid Avoid like EBOLA. Customer service is appalling. They do not reply to emails and they do not refund for returned items. There are so many people who have had the same experience. They will go out of business within a year. Save yourself the hassle and SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE

Similar to many of the reviews on here. Ordered some perfume as a birthday present, paid for next day delivery (7 Quid!!) only for it to not come the following day. I got in touch the day after it should have been delivered only to find out there had been an error with my order, although I had never been made aware of this. As it was a birthday present I couldn't wait for them to send it and had to purchase elsewhere. HOF refused to cancel my order, insisting it couldn't be done and id have to wait 48 hours to find out where my item was (48 hours to get in touch with their warehouse - not acceptable). After being cut off from their web chat mid way through typing and sending emails to cancel the order, I eventually received an email 6 days later saying it had been passed to the courier for deliver (Sigh). I managed to get in touch with the courier company who after sending it to the wrong depot, said they would 'do everything in their power to not deliver and return to sender' 3 hours later I got an email saying it had been delivered to my 'shed'. I don't even have a shed, turns out it was in my bin which was full of rubbish at the time. I don't think they could've got this more wrong if they tried. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Shocking service from House of Fraser customer service team and their courier, Hermes. Avoid ordering for delivery if you would like to actually receive your item! It is very difficult to talk to someone regarding your issue, the customer service agents also quickly close web chats whilst you are still responding! They give you exceptionally long waiting times to look into the issue and respond. You are unable to actually speak to the courier even though my item was shown to be at their depot for over a week now. Updates on the tracking link stopped and i was told it would take another 48 hours to try and locate my parcel. This has been a very stressful process with hardly any urgency to get my order delivered to me. I had to go out yesterday and purchase myself (not from House of Fraser) - please cancel my order i will not be using your company again!

I had very bad experience with house of fraser. I ordered one shirt worth £43 online. It was a gift. Standard delivery charge was £4. So total was £47. I dont want to be bothered to go all the way to shop so i ordered it anyway. I didn't like the colour so i wanted to return it. HoF shop is one hour away from where i live. I went all the way just to find out, they dont accept returns in shop, if you buy something online. She told me to do signed for delivery. So i send the shirt back by post and it cost me £4 again for delivery. So basically i spend £8 on delivery and £3 on bus to go all the way to HoF shop. I spend £11 for nothing. And i got £43 only. I thought i will get back £ 47. Just avoid to use house of fraser online at all cost. This is ridiculous how they trying to spam people with extra costs and unusual delivery costs.

I really advise people not to buy from HOF on black Friday for Christmas presents. A sales advisor helped me choose Christmas presents for all my male family members. However, my husband tried to rerurn a few items between xmas and new year but because 30 days had past, they wouldnt refund in fall even though he had the receipt. They deducted 20% which was a substantial amount. They are mis selling by promoting black friday to buy xmas presents but fail to warn you that you may lose money by doing so. They took over a year to respond to my complaints too!
