IKEA customer service is the worst I ever experienced. When a panel broke during assembly due to the poor quality of it, we called Ikea to have it replaced. Since pieces have no code there was no way we could identify it via phone, so the woman asked us to tell her the page and the exact step number when the panel first appeared. We did, page 16, step 17. We repeated that three times. The piece was supposed to be coming on Tuesday. I took a half day off work to receive the delivery. The driver called at 3 saying he would be there in 20 minutes, but he never showed up and shut down the phone. After 40 minutes wait on the phone, I finally managed to speak with a customer service operator, and she said the delivery company had finished the delivery for the day, and they would deliver the day after. So, 1 day later than the day they should have. All this happened without a single apology from the customer service operator, and she actually raised her voice with me when I pointed out that due to the lack of professionalism of the partners of THEIR choice, we were going to have a big problem, because we needed the bed to, guess what, use it!!! Finally the item was the Wednesday, yesterday. Today I looked at it and: surprise!!! They delivered the wrong piece!!!!!!! My boyfriend has spent 45 minutes on the phone, and then Further 20 to be able to make the person understand what the issue was, and it turns out that they got the wrong piece because the instructions the customer service has, are different than the instructions I have!!!! So my telling her page 16, step 17 was completely useless!!!!!! What a useless customer service!! Now we are going on holiday and we will leave with pieces of furniture we can't assemble all around the house, with a friend coming here to stay for a few weeks, and no bed to let her sleep in! I will have to let her sleep in my bed, and don't know how we will do when we come back until we receive the piece, if we ever will be able to receive it, which now I doubt!!!! What a huge waste of time and energy, and health as well because all this is adding up to a very stressful time I've just had, and makes everything worse! Thank you IKEA for the worst customer service ever experienced in my life. You will never see me again, surely not online, and I hope all people open their eyes. I'd rather sleep on the floor instead of giving my money again to such a company!!!!!!

I had my first delivery from Ikea today via the company Breeze Mount and based on the experience I shall NEVER order again...I had received a text telling me to expect a phone call an hour before delivery time but my call only came 10 mins before they arrived. When I expressed my dissatisfaction about this to the delivery guy he became rude and very aggressive on the phone. He threatened to not deliver the goods and return them to Ikea (as a failure to sign for the goods) for which I would have to pay a fine. When he arrived his attitude was so aggressive and threatening that my young daughter was attempting to phone the police as we were alone in the house. This is an absolute disgrace and i was left feeling very shaken and intimidated

Worst delivery service I have ever used. After waiting a whole day for them they delivered one item of the three ordered. No explanation as to where the rest of the items are. Items reordered I have spent the whole day waiting and no one has bothered showing up.

I was texted the time of my delivery Yesterday. I was told it would come between 7-11am, which I thought was great. This morning I was rang at 7:30am by the delivery man, telling me he would be here within an hour depending on traffic. It is now 3:30pm. No delivery man, I can't get through to him, and I'm listening to ABBA music on hold trying to get through to customer support. I would have understood if he had been an hour or two late due to traffic this morning, but I've been waiting all day. Never am I ever ordering anything from Ikea online!!!!!

I had a wardrobe deliver by store, assembly team who I have no issue with, came to assemble wardrobe 2 wks after delivery and found 4 damaged parts, assembly team told me they had to charge me a failed assembly charge of £25 which would be refunded by ikea. I contacted customer services who said to e mail copy of failed assembly invoice which I did and they would arrange delivery of the 4 damaged parts 2 days later. The delivery came with only 2 parts on the van (2 shelves missing) and again these parts were damaged. Again I rang customer services who said they had cancelled the parts without informing me as they were out of stock, it would be 10 days before re delivery. I told ikea that I wasn't prepared to wait 10 days and told them to collect wardrobe and give me refund. Collection was arranged for 7am-7pm time slot 2 days later. They rang me on day of collection at 5.30pm asking to arrange day for collection which was already arranged for that day!! The person was very unhelpful on the phone but anyway collection was again arranged for 2 days later. When the collection team came I noticed on invoice that they had the 2 shelves that had not been re delivered down to collect, I informed the drivers who said that they would have a record of this at call centre and I would be refunded within 2 days. After these 2 days had passed and still no refund I again contacted customer services to find out where the failed assembly and refund of wardrobe where, they informed me that 2 shelves were missing and that due to this my refund hadn't been issued. After an hour on the phone to customer services they said that my refund would be issued and someone would call me back within an hour to confirm this which they did not do. I rang again the following day to be back to square one as they had not issued refund and had to explain the situation all over again. After yet another hour on the phone they admitted they were in the wrong and would issue my refund, which I am still waiting for, ikea will NEVER get my business again!!

Was originally impressed when I got texts confirming delivery date and time. My order was scheduled between 1-5pm. Arrived 7.30pm. Muddy footprints throughout the house and they delivered an extra mattress that I hadn't ordered. I kindly informed the driver who shrugged his shoulders and said you have two now and refused to take it back. No copy of what we had signed for was left and no apology offered. It was down to me to then contact IKEA to inform them. The mattress is worth £250 so it was in their interest to get it back, not mine. They would not collect it at a time that was convenient to me, even though it was their mistake. I felt angry that I would have to sacrifice my time to wait for a time that was convenient for them. Was told they would ensure the collection was between 7am and 1pm. They called me at 1pm and finally arrived at 3pm to collect the mattress. My whole Saturday wasted for their mistake. I am extremely and annoyed and frustrated. Read these comments IKEA and improve. I love your products, but your delivery service is ruining your reputation. Don't give a time slot if it cannot be fulfilled, or at least ask the driver's mate to advise the customer that they are running two hours late. It's not rocket science!

DISORGANISED!!!!! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM USELESS IKEA BEEN HOME ALL DAY FROM 10am till now it's 20:30pm And NO DELIVERY OF A WARDROBE. I THINK THEY ARE THE WORST GREEDY COMPANY WHO HAVE NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHEN YOU PAY FOR A SERVICE YOU EXPECT QUALITY BACK. I AM GOING TO TAKE THIS MATTER FURTHER. I TOOK AN OFF DAY FROM WORK FOR A DELIVERY THAT WILL NOT ARRIVE . This is the worse than a poor service . You don't deserve a star at all!!!!!! I will not recommend their delivery system , I was put on hold for over 45 minutes. Am not putting this to sleep. What an inconvenience. Could have done my own collection . I repeat DO NOT USE THEIR DELIVERY , Pooor Pooor poor service !!!!!!!!!!!

Upset and very disappointed. I have been waiting for our corner sofa. When it came first time they sent the sofa with the wrong corner but clip attachments were correct. Next they came again after 3 months. Delivery men are the dumbest too many mishaps. communication lacking or don't care. Again opened all the boxes put it together just to find out they have done it again. Now waiting again delivery was meant to be last week. The delivery men had run out of time now have to wait for weeks, no apology from ikea or contact. Have wasted so much money on relentless phone calls. Time off from work. Waiting again????

Don't buy LED lighbulbs from here. I bought an expensive one which was supposed to last for several years. It blew after 10 months and despite the product claiming to last for 20,000 hours Ikea would not offer a replacement bulb. REALLY ANNOYING

Ordered goods (£400 plus) impressed text msgs to say delivery scheduled for 08/09/2015 with then follow up confirmation of day still 08/09/2015 then confirmation of 1330 to 1730hrs slot on 08/09/2015. After which it all went pear shaped at 1830hrs called service number was told after hanging on for 30mins that items were with driver and would be with me, he would call. Allegedly they checked with driver kept me on hold 10 minutes. Nothing more heard it is now 22.00hrs wasted half a day and all evening and still non the wiser when goods are arriving. Total shambles of a company blasting me with Abba music whilst waiting in queue to get through miracle it wasn't SOS song :-)

Never order from IKEA on line. I love their products but my experience today of trying to get a sofa delivered means I won't be shopping there again. Several texts to say when the delivery slot would be (great thought I, impressed with the idea of Sunday delivery.) A call one hour before was promised so we hung around only to find a note through the door saying failed delivery, a 45 minute queue on the phone line to contact them to find out what had happened and a message on the tracker to say order is completed. The money has also been charged to my card.

I ordered a wardrobe it was delivered with missing hanging rails I had to call and they delivered it one week later and this time without screws so of course again had to call the service to reschedule screws!! You would think this would be part of a cabinet so you could connect the hanging rails!

Waited in all day long! Held on the phone for 15 minutes listening to ABBA (thanks for that), then a for a further 30 minutes and was assured that although the time stipulated on delivery invoice said 10.00am til 4.00 pm, my goods would be delivered with an estimated delivery time of 5.30pm. it is now 18.43. I was told at the order desk and again on the phone that I would receive a call an hour before delivery. Perhaps it would be polite to call the customer and apologise and be honest if the delivery was not going to happen. I am furious. I choose to buy a £700 bed from Ikea on a bank holiday weekend and subsequently lost a day waiting home for delivery. Your service is appalling and you should be ashamed. Had you called me and said you couldn't deliver I could have at least enjoyed a much earned day off!!!!

Milton Keynes store. Was told delivery of approx £1000 of bedroom furniture would be next day between 10:00 and 16:00 with a call 1 hour before arrival, on a bank holiday weekend I was impressed. Cleared bedroom in preparation. No phone call by 12:00 so I called them to ask when it would arrive and after 30 mins on hold they finally answered and told me "before 16:00". I called them at 16:00 and was on hold for anothjer 45 minutes before giving up. My items have not arrived, IKEA have not been in touch at any point, no explanations or apologies. My wife is due to give birth next week so I now have to put everything back just in case. This is terrible customer service so I'll be going in tomorrow to cancel my order. AVOID.

Waited in all morning for a delivery it didn't come. Half hour on hold and then told lorry had crashed. I offered to pick our delivery up but was told this was not possible, but would not explain as to why. Terrible service by extremely rude staff that won't even refund delivery cost.

Reading several other reviews it would appear that mine is a common complaint. Three texts declared a delivery today 1-5pm; with driver to call an hour in advance. Took the time off work to await the delivery (computer desk) and, as of 7pm, nothing heard. Tried calling 30 minutes ago to hear automated voice "queues of 45 mins" followed by an annoying Abba tune seemingly on repeat. Gave up to go eat. Just tried calling again and "queues 60 mins" and the same damned Abba tune. Needless to say I shall not be doing any further business with them. In this day and age there are plenty of reliable retailers. Ikea charge a premium price for their delivery but, if my experience and the other similar reviews are anything to go by, they deliver a 3rd rate service. Poor. Very poor

Visited Ikea Edmonton (London) came out of an 'entry' door by mistake, security told me lift was not working so that's why door was open, security promptly asked to look in my bag, I did this because I didn't have time to confront the Issue then and there, sent email to customer service, received reply, within time frame to be fair, just! Email stated random searches were normal procedure (whatever that means) to protect Ikea. Not shopping there ever again, problem solved for me.

Worst delivery experience of my life. I was told that my order would arrive by 2.30 today. It is now 7.19 and I haven't heard anything from my driver or IKEA I've called them twice, but they are either confused or don't know what they are doing. Such a waste of time!!!

I ordered a £700 wardrobe to be delivered on Sunday. IKEA sent me several texts and emails confirming that the delivery would be between 7-11am and I would receive a call one hour before it was due. The delivery slots comes and goes. No calls or delivery. I am put on hold for 15 minutes when trying to reach them only to be told that the items cannot be delivered today due to 'IT' problems and 'lack of drivers'. It was not possible to reschedule and no explanation of why I was not informed that the delivery would not happen was given. I have no idea of knowing when and if the delivery will happen. Outrageously poor service. Never again!
