“Service from your member of staff was very good, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for delivery. This was due to be next day on our son in law’s birthday but actually arrived two days later.”

“I came across Imp & Maker through a random google search and found the site (and the offering) to be excellent. I bought a Whispering Angel Hamper as a birthday present for a colleague and not only did it arrive in perfect condition, exactly when it was supposed to, but the communications from Imp & Maker were timely, efficient and lovely througout. An excellent experience from start to finish...will definitely be back for more.”

“I wont be using your service again. My own fault as I chose you because you were the fastest delivery for Noam Beer - however ,what I didn't check carefully ,I had been looking at various options throughout the afternoon ,was the number of bottles I would receive for the princely sum of £129.75. In short you are disproportionately expensive & overpriced when I compare buying pro- rata, with other companies advertising Noam beers on-line. The cheapest with an additional new customer discount is £2.35pb against your £4.32pb. A staggering difference on 30 bottles of £59.10 in your favour. Good luck for the future I am sure not everyone will be as careless as I have been. It is not a criticism of you just an observation. Regards, Peter Ellis”

As a founder, I always say “the customer is always right & are the beating heart of IMP & MAKER.” But in this instance, after reviewing the full thread of communication between you and our team, I feel compelled to speak on their behalf. We are a small, passionate team of five who put our heart into every order, every email, and every conversation. From Zoe’s clear and kind responses, to our transparent explanations about pricing, to multiple attempts to speak directly and even offer goodwill, our team went above and beyond, and they did so with patience and professionalism throughout. We are not, and have never claimed to be, a wholesaler. We are a premium food and drink gifting brand, with in-house stock, next-day delivery, and partnerships with some of Europe’s most exclusive producers. NOAM Beer, which was at the heart of this issue, is served in some of the UK’s finest venues at £12–£15 a bottle. We retail a curated six-pack at £25, complete with luxury packaging, handpicked presentation, and delivery included, a gifting experience, not a bulk trade order. The one-star rating you left, despite our team’s continued efforts to clarify and help, feels less a reflection of our product or service, and more a reaction to a misunderstanding about the type of business we are. That’s genuinely saddening, because reviews matter deeply to small brands like ours, and our team genuinely cares. We know we’re not the right fit for everyone. But for our loyal customers and future ones reading this, please know: we care. We care enough to call, email, explain, follow up, offer goodwill, and still feel disappointed when we’ve done all we can and it’s not enough.
