“This is the second "coverage" report I've requested, the first being a year ago. I was very pleased that the reader acknowledged the previous draft and therefore, was able to indicate where the script had improved...or not. Helpful, supportive and very conscientious. I'm also very pleased, as I was in the previous report, with the examples drawn from the script, illustrating either improvement or need for improvement. During my second read of the analysis (as I'm always in a state of paralysis on the first read!) the areas which need to be addressed were clear and made a great deal of sense. This time round, I'm pleased that the script achieved an "Honourable Mention". And, that there will be time for me to improve the existing script and, possibly, the rating. The project is my first attempt at screen writing, which is very apparent, but at all times, I've felt the reader to be professional, respectful and encouraging. Also, for the second time, the reader has provided more than the four pages allotted to the "coverage" service. I greatly appreciate this commitment to servicing the writer. To me, it indicates the reader's desire that the writer succeeds. And as the writer, that sincerity is a gift. I definitely recommend Industrial Scripts. I'm a huge fan of British television and film. That Industrial Scripts is a group of enthusiastic industry professionals well connected with those who make my favourite shows and films, well...can it get any better?”

“This is a bit of a tough review to write... I've used I.S. for 6 reports on 2 scripts over the past years and while the reports are of high quality, on-time and exceed what they agree to deliver, their later reports have caused me problems and it's on this account that I can only give a 2. (If I could I'd have given 2.5 out of 5 to reflect the 1 positive and 1 negative experience overall - but given the money the reports cost I can't really round upward to just 'normal' as value for money is key for the impoverished writer). On the latest script I received a positive report from them and then a negative one on a second reading, the second reviewer sometimes citing as weaknesses what the first enjoyed as being well-written. While we all know scripts must impress a wide audience of potential readers it's not useful to receive such changeable or contradictory perspectives like this - nothing can be done with them. Despite an email to this effect last time (unanswered) a third report I bought came from the same reader and continues to cite failings in the script in a (sub)genre that I'm not aiming for and as such is of no practical use to me, a waste of money this time. So my humble opinion: The reports are of good quality and the writers undoubtedly dedicated and knowledgeable. Provided you get a reader that understands your creative intent (or is at least prepared to respect it) you'll have a very powerful tool in improving your story but if not then you might just get a report that leaves you with the choice of ignoring it (painful at the price) or face fundamentally changing what you intended to create in the first place. I've had experiences of both with I.S. and though I was as happy in the first case as disappointed in the second, I'd probably still say go ahead to anyone considering their service even if I wouldn't necessarily use them my current project anymore.”

“As I sent in my very first film script and English is not my native language, I was pleasantly surprised to get such an encouraging report. All the aspects were labelled fair or good and the summary mentioned things like 'intelligent drama '. Though it got a 'pass' I feel encouraged by Industrial Scripts to improve the script according to their suggestions. I would certainly recommend it to any first time script writer who is perhaps doubtful of his or her talent.”

“Great to have feedback from someone who actually knows (and likes) the genre I have written in. All too often readers who have no liking for horror films (for example) are asked to review horror screenplays. It shouldn't make a difference if they like the genre or not but the fact is it does. And it colours any assessment. I'm glad to say this reviewer (pretty much) got what I was aiming for. Got the references and the target audience. I don't agree with everything he/she critiqued but it was well worth the money I paid and I value the feedback. It has been very useful. Thank you. BTW my review is for internal use ONLY and cannot be used for advertising purposes. :-)”

“The report was delivered on time and to a professional standard. Development notes and suggestions were helpful. For a first time writer, such as myself, the feedback from an industry professional provides a light on not just how to write and improve my writing but, also the standard the industry is looking for and how the industry will judge the work I produce. The advice received is practical and worth every penny of the fee. I would use the services again, on future projects.”

“Many recommended changes to the script were listed but none of which were expanded on, which renders the suggestions useless to the client. It would be extremely useful if at least a couple of the ideas provided were explained or expanded on.”

“I was very impressed with the service provided. It was delivered quickly and my script was obviously analysed in detail. The comments were very helpful and insightful. Although they do mean I might need to do a rewrite but if that's whats needed to get my script out there then so be it. The report was also well written, easy to read and informative. “I enjoyed reading the review of the script I wrote. I find as a writer, you get stuck inside the story, and you need an objective outside view of the things you wrote. I've refrained from giving the review a full endorsement because I think there is a missing component that, as a writer, I would appreciate. I would like to see a comment or a grading on the mechanics of the work. For example, I did not get any feedback on the quality of the dialogue. I guess it would be helpful to have a separate overview similar to the rating I'm giving your review. All in all, it is worth the price to get feedback. I will get back to work on my script.”

“This is the third time I have used the services of Industrial Scripts within the past couple of years. On this occasion I ordered a 'Project Analysis' for one of my feature screenplays. The report I received was beyond what I expected. The reviewer provided an in-depth and well-structured review of the screenplay, highlighting what works and what doesn't. Although I don't agree with all points raised, the feedback was balanced and useful. I have used the feedback to assist in my latest re-write and I feel the points raised have greatly improved the script and allowed me to look at the story from a new viewpoint. Thank you.”

“The analysis was way more detailed than I imagined it would be. It was clear, very feel thought through and really clarified some issues that the script had. I was given some great suggestions with a eye on making the script more appealing to producers and some very useful film reference suggestions. It did all this a supportive and nurturing. Most importantly, I felt the consultant really cared about what I've been slaving over all these months! Highly recommended.”
