“As an independent filmmaker writing scripts, I've had reader reports from competitions I've entered and paid for a few consultations with script consultants. They've been of variable quality. Industrial Scripts' script analysis is far and away the best quality analysis I've had. All the anxieties about: is my script good enough? or am I a good enough writer? just fell away because the analysis was focused so well on actions to move the script forward in the next draft. The scoring system is excellent because it gives you a benchmark, an easily understandable sense of where you are up to, and focuses you on where you need to get to next. The editor's comments were always insightful and constructive, and they were very generous in sharing suggestions that were really smart to make the script better. The tone of the analysis was respectful of the time and effort I'd put in. And the rate is affordable if you are self-funding like me and writing on spec, and superb value for what you get. If you've been spending your limited funds on competition entries as I was, I think you will get a lot more value out of working with one of Industrial Scripts' editors. Highly recommended.”

“I first came across Industrial Scripts back in the summer of 2017. I submitted my screenplay I had been struggling with for quite a while. The feedback was fantastic. Not only insightful but incredibly encouraging. The coverage unearthed the fault lines but also suggested ways to correct them. Invigorated, I did a rewrite and resubmitted for more advice. Each time the coverage was carefully considered and insightful. Boosted by the consistent feedback, I entered the script into the international competition, Scriptapalooza. Out of thousands of entries, my script, THE GIRL WHO COLLECTED SOUND finished third. Hand on heart, I simply could not have achieved that position without the assistance, guidance and encouragement of Industrial Scripts. “I have submitted this story to five other coverage services. Can't even tell you how many times I have rewritten the story in between submissions. I have gotten good advice as well as some advice I didn't think applied. Industrial was by far the worst review and for the first time actually hurt my feelings.”

Jennifer I am so sorry you were disappointed by our coverage however our "Dry Run Report" that you chose is very clearly positioned on our site as a way to acid test your script, and see the type of internal/company script report writers aren't usually privy to. As described, the report doesn't exist to help the writer move forward to the next draft, per se, but rather to let them know in very blunt terms whether their script is likely to get a favourable reaction if submitted to major agencies, production companies and managers. We have a moral and ethical obligation to our clients not to sugar-coat this verdict and I'm afraid in this case our consultant judged your script to require considerable further development before it's ready to go out to the industry. “After toiling on revising my screenplay for six months, I was not completely satisfied. I used other services for analyses; however, their comments or suggestions were not concrete or helpful. I decided to try Industrial Scripts. I was leary at first, but after the first communique, my anxiety was allayed. The script doctor offered an overview that I thought would work while keeping the original story/script intact. After a few sessions, I realized how incredibly adept, insightful, skilled and fast the script doctor was at tackling problem areas in the script. The transformation of the script began to form after constant communication and swapping ideas and suggestions. There was a bit of trial and error, but ultimately we came up with the best solution together. My consultant was respectful and even added some of my rewrites into the script. We did not discuss the script's position in the marketplace; however, I did not feel it was necessary. In short, I was immensely impressed with my consultant.”

“Eventually received a decent quality report by an enthusiastic reader. Problems with the site made the whole thing quite stressful though. This involved a lot of back and forth with customer service, who did a decent job of solving the various problems.”

“Very good and helpful screenplay service. Made me see all the problems (plot, subplot, characters, etc.) of why the story does not work well yet. Also super creative recommendations of what could be added and how to give the story and the plot a finer shape. “I have used two other coverage companies. They will remain nameless. One just said how great my script was, and the other was just mean and made me feel quite pathetic. Industrial, was kind yet truthful, honest, constructive without telling me I am the next William Goldman. The points made have inspired me, not made me throw it all away. The notes given, I am 100% taking on board. In a month or so, I will be back in contact to ask for the same reader to evaluate my next draft of both Bible and TV Pilot. To be critical in any way, I felt the bumpf at the end was overlong and a little self-indulgent. But to re-iterate, the important thing was the reader was very good. I felt they had read the words and not glanced over it. Pat the reader on the back for me. Cheers Stuart Fryer”

“We did face some problems with the report we've ordered, however, Industrial Scripts response was very good and they managed to satisfactorily solve the issue. The final report we've got is definitely helpful for the re-writing of a new draft of our script. Thanks, guys”

“Hard to fathom how my latest draft scored even worse than the previous review (different reader, admittedly). Not cheap at 400, so extremely disappointed that the report spent almost a page referencing other scripts. I get that a reader may not like the script but this was something else.”

“They pride themselves on being the only company that gives an honest review of the writer's screenplay, and this is why they don't try to sugarcoat their assessments. I believe it's the reverse - they give you a low score so that you will continue to pay for more coverage reports. The person that reviewed my screenplay didn't try to find anything good about it. He or she only knit-picked the whole thing and took every opportunity to justify their actions. Then after slashing your work they try and persuade you to accept their script doctoring service so they can charge you even more money.”

“Strong analysis in most areas, but seemed to have missed some key beats I think were mentioned in my script. Kept insisting that my ending was weak because I intended to have a surprise twist that leads to other sequels centred on missions to stop an asteroid. I have already invested in creating two other scripts that are sequels to this one and I feel that he should have given me ideas on how to make it work instead of shooting it down.”
