“A very thorough and well thought through report. Slightly let down by a little confused hedging on both sides of an argument. I also had a review of my previous script and maybe because that script was in a worse state - I received more immediately useful, specific notes to help me improve it so even though it annoyed me at the time how much the guy hated it, it massively helped the script. The only criticism of that report was there were a couple of factual errors as to the content of the script but I just took that as indirect advice that my next draft had to be really, really clear. Industrial scripts gives the best reports I've seen yet as an amateur writer and I will use them again.”

“Was prompt and lengthy. It was clear that the reviewer had really made an effort to engage with the script, which is lovely. My only complaint is that the feedback was almost entirely positive (aside from a few details and quibbles) but I didn't receive any information on the Talent Connecter, so presumably I only received a pass grade. While this is ok, not everyone's script will be good enough for the programme, I would have liked to have more constructive criticism about how to improve the script. From my perspective, I also think it would make a significant difference to the peace of mind of your clients if you designated the pass grade, instead of leaving them hanging on an increasingly unlikely offer. That is the only thing, though, that stops me from giving a 5* review.”

“Although I appreciate the advice given and agree with some of the criticism, I do feel that many of the points made were very conventional, treating the thriller genre as formulaic and reductive. I also recognise that perhaps this is the industry we are pitching to, but I would have liked a more open-minded approach to the analysis.”

“Industrial scripts have a very user unfriendly IT system so submitting a script for feedback took ages. After completing all stages of the process, I then waited the three weeks for my feed back. When I heard nothing, I had great difficulty getting in contact anyone - there are no phone numbers, and users are given the clear impression that everyone is far too busy to be in contact. I finally found an info email address, after which I got a prompt reply which asked to submit the final part of the process again, even though i did this first time around. I did this and then the process finally started to work. My script was responded to within the agreed time limit, and the quality of the feedback was simply excellent. The reviewer did a great job of focussing in on the scripts' s strengths and weaknesses, and fired me up to do another draft. Really grateful for the feedback, but equally frustrated by the submission process”

“The feedback I received was fantastic- on time, detailed and insightful. I was offered a place in the talent connector program, but unfortunately, I wasn't contacted at all during the period when they sent my details out. Unfortunately, with the drop in the Aussie dollar, this service is now less affordable for me at the moment; though I will definitely consider using them the next time I require expert feedback.”

“I enjoyed this course immensely. I'm not an "insider", so the information provided made it easier for me to understand concepts I hadn't understood in the past. Although I'm not sure I'll be pursuing a career in screen-writing, at least I have enough information to make an educated and informed decision. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants an overall better understanding of the inside workings of the film industry.”

“I am very pleased with my review. The Reviewer fully understood my theme, as expressed through action, dialogue and metaphor and, given his/her lengthy and detailed analysis, had very obviously studied my script thoroughly. His/her suggestions for improvements are clear and make perfect sense. As the Reviewer points out, and as I know myself, this will be a difficult script to market for reasons beyond the standard of writing and storytelling. However, the Reviewer's very positive reaction has assured me that I have an excellent product and has given me the confidence to now go out and kick down doors to make things happen. This alone makes the fee worth paying.”
