“Wrong item delivered from Black Friday online purchase. Customer service is useless and asks the buy to bring the item to one of the stores to return and re-order. CS rep at the store was ignorant and arrogant. Does not know what to do with the issue I had. A supervisor stepped in and placed the order but now the shipping status keeps showing 'in progress. The worst shopping experience in my life. It is no surprise that the stores are closing. Never buy anything from the store.”
“I made a purchase to be send before Christmas... the shipping address was wrong.. they shipped within 24 hrs of me placing the order. They told me the store has no way of changing the shipping address once shipped to call ups to make the change... I spoke the 5 reps after waiting on hold 40+ minutes... only for ups to tell me I cannot make the change, the store has to make the change to the shipping address... so basically the order should be sent to who knows where because Jcpenney nor UPS can make a change to shipping address once the order is shipped...

“12/12/2021- I had an appoitment for my kids to have photos done , it was schduled for 12;15pm Rushed my kids out of the house to get to the appoitment in time . there was a family getting photographed , a family checking out and two other familes waiting. The family that was getting photographed came out around 1230 and they then prepared for the next family to come in which at this point it was almost 1pm . so is sat down and their was still another family ahead of me so i asked how long have they been waiting and she said for over an hour now. so we walked the entire mall came back and there still wasnt any progress . at this point it was almost 2pm . so i said to the ladies at the conter i am canclling my appoitment i will rescudle at a latter date . why make an appoitment if you cant take someones pictures at that time and if you couldnt do that all in one day you should have started to call people so you didnt have people waiting hours to be phto graphed HORRIBLE SERVICE .”

I had follow-up questions while on the phone about what I wanted to do... the supervisor refunded my money and when I asked further questions about when I would get my item she FREAKED out that she already processed the refund.. which I NEVER asked her to do because I was still deciding if I wanted to wait for my gfs ring or not. She blew up on the phone with me because SHE made a mistake. I will never shop here again.”
“I wouldn't give any stars for JCP Online if it were possible. Order placed on Nov 14. Nov 17 rec'd email saying order had shipped. Clicking on tracking button: label generated-waiting for seller to ship order. Nov 28 I called to check on order because status never changed. Wanted to cancel. Associate said it had shipped but not updated tracking info yet. Dec 5 called again. First guy lied. Order still not shipped. Canceled order. 7-10 days for refund! What antiquated system are they using? Never ordering online from JCP again.”

“I would give zero stars if I could. I have been a longtime customer of JC Penney. Through the years, I've dealt with some issues including wrong items shipped, but my most recent experience takes the cake. They shipped me the wrong items (two very large rugs that I ordered in a rectangular size, and they shipped round ones). I called to get a return label because I'm not getting in my truck (they are too big to fit in my car) and driving 45 miles to the nearest JC Penney store with current gas prices, and I shouldn't be out the gas money, time, or cost for a shipping label for their mistake. However, I'm thinking that the first lady I talked to actually only pretended to help me. She stated that my return label would be generated in 24 hours (it wasn't, and evidently, that's not a thing), and that I couldn't get the correct rugs sent to me as they were no longer available. That was frustrating, but okay.
After the return label didn't come, I waited on hold 45 minutes on a new call the next day for a return label to be generated. The gentleman I talked to informed me that I could indeed get the correct rug and that they were in stock, but they would charge me for them again, and then I would get a refund when the incorrect rugs made their way back. No go for me, considering they already have $600 of my money tied up with the wrong ones. Most stores who ship the wrong thing immediately send the correct one and only charge additionally if the wrong item isn't sent back in a timely fashion. The return label does not include a pick up from UPS, so I have to haul these giant things to the nearest UPS store, and I need help to do it because they are too big for me to lift by myself. I'm completely irritated that it took so long. I will no longer be shopping at JC Penney. My time is so much more valuable than waiting on hold for 45 minutes for a simple return label.”
“I made an order for 2 queen size electric blankets. I checked my email within 2 hours and realized the order was for 2 twin size blankets. I started a chat immediately to try and change the order and pay the difference. Told they couldn't cancel my order and sorry Sandra couldn't help me. Then I called the 800 number and spoke with Aydi and was told if I didn't cancel my order within 30 minutes of placing it, too bad. I will have to pay to return them and she was wasn't will to help me change my order. No wonder JCPenney stores are closing. Terrible customer service. I will NEVER order from them again.”
“Friday, I visited jc penney Black Friday sale site. The shoes I've been watching were being advertised as HALF PRICE for $47.50. LIARS! I have been watching for a couple pairs to go on sale. The usual price IS $47.50 and they have never been $95.00. I hate a liar and I am certainly NOT purchasing anything from one. You need to let go JC and let your store go bye bye.
