“Almost a year since I returned a ring bought as a gift. Still no refund. Claim never received despite proof by UPS. Horrible communication and they steal your money.”
“I have shopped with JCP many years and never had any issues or received such poor customer service. Placed an order Nov 14 thinking that is plenty of time for delivery with all the warnings about shop early to avoid delays. Well, I was discouraged when my shipping confirmation showed Lasership tracking number, in my experience with Lasership they are slow and never update tracking. I checked after 48 hours and saw status was still waiting on package that label was created. I gave it 4 or 5 days after still not receiving any notifications that I signed up. The status said Exception - package damaged contact seller. So I contacted JCP via email … no response so I called JCP and explained Lasership said package was damaged and to contact them. I was informed I would have to wait for Lasership to send the package back to JCP warehouse before I could be issued a refund? I asked how will I know when JCP receives package since Lasership does not update tracking. I was told I would have to call back in 10-15 days to see if JCP warehouse has received damaged package. I explained that would be middle of December and all these clothes were Christmas presents. The agent informed me I could order again but I would have to pay for new order?? Most companies would say I can see package was damaged at carrier facility let me replace that order for you… nope not at all. I got the run around our system will not let us replace your order. Keep in mind this order status is not lost.. it said package damaged and for me to contact seller. Supervisor I was transferred had attitude from the time she answered the call. I was at no time rude on the call so not sure of she just having a bad day or in the wrong profession. I have never been frustrated enough to leave a bad review for any business so congratulations JCP! You are that bad!!”
“I tried to make shopping today, but when I finished and my order was confirmed, I decided to make some changes. I canceled my shopping and started to do it over again, but I lost the coupon online code. I called customer service and someone on another side from customer service told me if I canceled my shopping I can not reuse coupons again. And he said he cannot help me to return my coupon code. I didn't finish my shopping because I lost the coupon.”
“I placed an order on Nov 5 and after 15 days did not receive any notification that it was at the store. My call to the Customer Service rep was useless. He told me that he didn’t see where it was and that I should call the local store myself. I called multiple times and got no answer. At one point, I dialed zero for the operator and got a recording that the operator was unavailable.
I emailed twice and got no response.”
“Only put 1 star because I couldn’t put zero. This is a scam and customer service is no help, it’s ridiculous they have no problem letting you spend your money ordering stuff but when you package never shows they won’t give a full refund. NEVER SHOPPING WITH THIS FRANCHISE AGAIN.”
“Jcpenny claimed that my order was delivered. I was home the entire day and have a camera on my porch.. no one attempted to deliver my order. Their customer service is awful. They will not do anything to help me. They will not replace or refund the nearly $200 that I spent on the order. I thought JCpenny was a company that I could trust. I was wrong. Be careful if you order online.. its a scam.”
“If I could I would give 0 ⭐️. It has the worst customer service. I opened a credit card with them when they said I would receive $20 rewards in my email which I never did. I called the customer service and they kept transferring me to a different person within the same team without resolving my issue. I had to tell the same story every time to 3 different people while staying on the call for almost an hour. I just closed my cc after having such a bad day with their service.”

I just received this today. It was wobbly so I opened and to my surprise found a piece of tape “holding” a completely broken piece together. Then to make matters worse the gentleman I spoke with Abraham and he literally said my bad. Now I have to ship it back, wait for them to receive the item back, wait 7-10 more days for a refund and another 7+ days to get a new item. All I get for that is “my bad”. The costumer service as horrible and they offered me no helpful solution to exchanging this item. The outside of the suitcase is fine, although it doesn’t roll, stand up, etc due to be broken. I can’t believe this product was even sent out.”
“My father but my mother ring at the Northwest Arkansas Mall for Christmas it was too big so we brought it home and put it in a volt so we could have it sized later then my dad died after he died me and my mom took the ring back in to be sized the lady at the desk said it would take a little longer because of covid to get it back so we waited and waited and I told my mom you need to call JCPenney's to find out about your ring so when she called they said there was a problem come in so we did they had lost the ring they had lost the ring and they are saying it is our problem we called corporate 17 times only to be lied to the manager at the mall name Amy does not tell the truth is rude and does not care about her customers and neither does JCPenney's because they lied also we have all our paperwork and they refused to take care of it this why JCPenney's is closing”
“JC Penny has the worst customer service. I recently ordered window treatments and they were made the wrong size. They would not take them back and now I have to deal with the manufacturer directly to maybe have them remake them in the right size. DO NOT order custom made window treatments from JC Penny, if they are made wrong you have to deal with it, they do not take any responsibility. It a nightmare doing business with JC Penny.”
“I tried to follow up on an online order that was canceled. The customer service person was so rude. She made me feel the card I used was stolen even when I tried to give her all the correct details on my card. This got me so mad and decided not to continue with the transaction. I then tried to reach someone on instagram to report it however my follow up questions were never answered. This was not a good experience for me”

“I've been trying for days to place an order but it keeps getting cancelled each time. The reps in the chat refuse to help and instead ask you to call. I have explained why the call can't work on my end, yet they refuse to help. And even when they answer the call, they place the order again and it still gets cancelled. The service is horrible. No explanation why the order is cancelled.”
