“The job was done okay but time was such a factor that if they were even a couple of minutes over what they previously told, you were charged. The prices were too high and I would not hire again. I had to clean up after they left and wasn't pleased.”

“The first junk removal we had from Just Junk was great, ticked all the boxes. The last junk removal not so great. The job involved cleaning up leftover fence bricks and construction materials from our back yard. The price quoted was almost twice what we had anticipated. The quote was arrived at by a quick glance and a number magically appeared. I reluctantly agreed to proceed. I provided a wheelbarrow to help make the job easier. Towards the end of the work I was called outside and told the estimator had not seen the last row of bricks settled at the bottom in the dirt. I anticipated a further increase in price and told them to just leave it. The crew did work hard and were finish within the hour of arriving. Overall the crew did most of the work. I was disappointed.”

“I had one rolled up rug that needed to be removed from my garage. The guys quoted me $300 to remove it. I said no thanks and they reduced it to $189, and I agreed because I wanted the rug out of there. But I still think the price was outrageous”

“Paper invoices not offered at pickup. Hand held debit produce no receipts. Should be a standard payment copy for customer, Took awhile to get a copy of my receipt, emails, calls, a inconvieience for the customer. Finally received copy. Thankyou, Otherwise drivers were polite, asked would like shoes removed , moved items outside front door to avoid coming in and out.quick,Gabriel notified mgmt re copy receipt needed. Would have been more informitive a picture of truck and how the loads are measured out with prices. We used 1-800 and they had this which was very helpful and good visually see divided space and loads. Will use again as long as driver has paper letterhead receipts, or at least ask customer ahaead of time, carry receipt books in truck.”

“I hired Just Junk for an emergency job. we were selling a property and the closing was on a Friday. We realized on Monday that there was a lot of junk left in the apartment. I met the guys at the location on Tues. We did a complete walk through and they gave me a price. I paid it and felt that everything would be taken care of. The next day we noticed all of this junk on the side of the building. It had been removed from the home and left outside. I assumed they were coming back to take it. By the end of the day I called to see where they were. I was informed that the job was completed. No it was not! I told them that they had to come back and finish their job and they said they could come back on Friday. I explained that the deal was to clear it out before Friday as this was our closing date. Finally it was agreed upon that they would go on Thurs and remove what they left but they demanded more money as they said they did not see this junk when they gave me the original quote. The fact that they "might" have missed this in their first walk through should not have been my problem. We had a deal to empty out the place and they accepted it. Unwillingly, I paid the second fee so that they would take the junk away. This was the first and last time that I will use this company to empty out my rental properties.”

“The approximated pricing I had received on the phone of $149ish to remove a couch and armchair turned into $270ish when the workers arrived. Too much difference. Also, although the workers were pleasant, the strong smell of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking building elevator was very unpleasant.”

“The young men who removed the furniture were excellent!! Courteous...careful and quick. They came on time and were done in 25 minutes and they cleaned up what little was tracked into the house. The PRICING however, was outrageous....a couple of years ago they emptied an entire basement for a bit over 600$. This year a bedroom suite and a recliner was over 400$. I won't use their service again...cheaper to hire a couple of men and a truck. Sad to see them gouge customers as their employees were and are so good.”

“Unimpressed here. Had these guys come pick up 1/2 a truck load today and the guys who did the work were good and respectful, but the companies pricing online was incredibly misleading. Ended up costing double the advertised cost. Shady company trying to hide their real costs. Don't reccomend.”

“The cost was way more than I expected. It is misleading when they quote a price on line and then in person say it depends on how much space you take up in the truck! was not impressed and would not use them again. They are taking advantage and price gouging.”

Due to the nature of the work we do, we always provide you with an exact estimate once we see the items to be removed to give you accurate pricing based on all of the items to be removed as sizes of many items can fluctuate. “I booked online and the guys came and made an estimate. He said there would be about a 1/2 truck load. Quoted $748.00, much more than I expected after looking at the estimates online. They loaded up the stuff and the load looked more like 1/4 of the truck. By the time they added tax ($97.24) and handed me the credit card machine asking for a tip - I was shamed into giving them a tip and chose the lowest number - 15% and that brought the total to $972.03 -way more than I had expected. Nearly $1,000.00 for what I had thought would be less than half that according to the website.”

“I was over charged for a small job ! Was quoted $120 and charged over $140 plus tax and a $30 tip that I did not authorise . Whole job took 5 minutes and I was charged over $185 . I wonder whether this is their usual practice or scam ?”

“The onsite cost was far higher than the online estimate, by almost double. I felt highjacked. They get you into a vulnerable position, then put the screws to you. On top of that they have the audacity to ask for a tip.”

“Service was fast . Workers were nice , clean and professional. However after they left we noticed a a chunk taken out of the wall which needs to be fixed and wall needs to be painted.”

“We hired Just Junk because I liked that they offered to recycle or reuse any items possible. I was forced to move (landlady sold the property) and had to get rid of a lot of stuff. I was overwhelmed and running out of time so it sounded like an amazing service. They arrived late and, only after they started throwing my stuff into the back of the truck and I questioned whether any items would be recycled, was I informed that because it was late they could not offer that service and everything would go to the dump. They were unable to rebook me in the time frame I needed and I was out of options. Everything was thrown in their truck and went to the dump. It was very upsetting and the price they charged was not adjusted in anyway. If you are just getting rid of garbage this is a good service, but their claim to "recycle and donate to extend your junk's life" is false advertising. Extremely disappointed with the experience.”

“Looking at other reviews here, I wish I could say the same. Using their online tool to rate how much it would cost to take away two sofas, I thought $350 was reasonable. When they arrived, they said it would be $480. Their explanation was, verbatim "The online tool is wildly inaccurate because it's based on Ontario prices". I'm in Alberta. After they gave a 2pm - 4pm window, they called after 4pm to reschedule for 5:30pm, only to call again at 4:45pm to say they would be here in 10 minutes. I was frustrated with trying to work other tasks around their unpredictable timing.”
