About Leonard Truck Outfitters:

Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a privately owned retailer, manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers and accessories, carports, playhouses, pet and animal structures, gazebos, and outdoor furniture. We serve our residential, commercial and government customers through our 59 factory outlet stores in the five-state region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Seventy percent of our business last year resulted from repeat customers and referrals mostly of which were from family member to family member. We hear a lot of this: "I am here because when I was growing up my grandfather had a Leonard building in his backyard . . ." We take pride in serving and taking care of folks as if they were our family.

Over the years, our company's focus on quality, craftsmanship and customer service has allowed each of our company-owned stores to be integrated partners in their local communities. We encourage employees to look for ways to make a difference around town and to help out worthy causes.

“Trailer had same features and quality as others I looked at but cost less. Sales were very busy the day I was there but kept working as quickly as possible to get everyone processed.”

“Prices were reasonable and quality of trailer purchased has been excellent. Unfortunately the mechanic employed by the Leonard dealer mounted my spare tire bracket terribly. His welds broke the first time I drove the trailer out of my driveway and now there is a rusty spot where he removed the paint with an angle grinder for his welds. I remounted the bracket properly like it should have been done first off and touched up the paint. Obviously this has nothing to do with quality of trailer Leonard puts out which is excellent.”

“My experience with Leonard's Truck Accessories was Great! I have 2020 Chevy Truck and wanted a trunk cover. They did an Excellent job with color matching and installation (it didn't take long). I am VERY pleased and would recommend them to everyone. Their service is Outstanding. "Thank YOU".”

“was very pleased with sales person (Adam) and they delivered our shed on time and positioned it nicely. Adam came out a couple days later to see for himself and scheduled repairman to come out and make adjustments on door and replaced a couple of siding pieces. all is good and we are happy.”

“I ordered a very expensive Leer truck cap with many options. The product I received was dirty but in overall good shape. The install did not go as planned, I have been there twice to get cap installed and i am still waiting for someone to finish the wiring on the rear glass that lets the remote keyless entry control the lock on the back glass. My only other comment is the truck cap should have been cleaned prior to the original install. It was very dirty from transport. They guys at the store were very nice but my rear glass still doesn't work off the remote.”

“The products are great. I recently had the misfortune of coming to pick up my truck with my new cover. As I excitedly looked at it, I noticed a big scratch. I preceded to go in, and talk to Tammy about it, and she was amazing. Her quote no problem, we will get another one ordered for you!! A week later I had my new cover and very happy. Thank you Tammy!!”

“Carry on trailers are junk. Dealer said was ready to pick up but when I got there had not even started to put wheels on. Spent have a day waiting. Trailer had big dent in fender and dealer had attitude that it was on sale did not seem like a big deal for they. Trailer welds looked like twelve year old welded it. Light wiring was came loose in two places the time I got home across town. Sharp areas bad enough to cut you. I will never deal with Leonard or Carry on Trailers again. Leonard made me feel like they were doing me a favor selling me a trailer at a sale price that was damaged.”

“I hate to write a poor report. Unfortunately I have not been able to get my storage shed re-leveled. Over the last four months the back end has settled and I can no longer open the side door. I have called the Manassas store at least five times over the past two months. The person who originally installed the shed can not come because his wife unfortunately has Covid-19. No else is available from the store because they are short handed and they don't have the correct lifting jack. I am very concerned the side door will be permanently compressed and damaged. It is out of level by at least a half an inch to an inch. Thank you for your help.”

“Michael J. Pack I purchased a cap serial # (5154940from) your store located at 2955 Hwy 70 se Newton Nc 28658 on 1/15/2020. It was installed on 2/7/2020 and i was back two days at the intall shop two days later, The removable front sliding window leaked along with the tailgate seal. The removable front sliding window design explained from the sales rep (BUC001)is improperly designed not allowing water to drain, instead water overruns the track and leaks inside witch is causing the interior headliner to become saturated and leaking inside of the bed, a new rear window has been ordered along with a new tailgate seal. Pictures were taken and sent to your engineering dept I was told. I returned to the install shop around 3/19/2020 a new window came in along with a tailgate seal, the tailgate seal was installed but the new window that was shipped was incorrect, so again another window was ordered, before leaving I discussed just returning the cap until fixed properly or receiving a full refund .I have not heard from the install center since, I reached out to them during the first week in May but I have not received a call back I understand the pandemic we are facing right now. In the meantime with the leaking and warmer temperatures we are starting to grow MOLD. How do we deal with this now? I would like to hear from yourself on behalf of this matter, I can be reached at 828 757 5664, Rick or Windy.”
