I purchased an NCM Milano Plus e-bike from Leon Cycle in Laverton this week and paid an additional fee for professional assembly, as I wanted the bike to be ready and safe to ride immediately. I collected the bike 2 days ago. The following morning, on my first commute to work, I immediately noticed a significant rubbing sound from the front wheel during every rotation and couldn’t continue riding the bike. I contacted the store and was advised to remove and reinstall the front wheel and was sent a YouTube video explaining how to adjust the brake calipers. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue. As agreed with the store, I then took the bike to a local bike shop for inspection (Leon Cycle is an hour drive from me). They advised that the front wheel was not properly aligned and that there was a substantial amount of air in the hydraulic braking system, significantly affecting braking performance. I was told the bike was not in a condition they would consider acceptable to sell for road use without adjustment. The necessary repairs, including a brake bleed, cost $180. Although Leon Cycle initially agreed this cost would be reimbursed, they subsequently informed me that reimbursement wouldn’t be provided, with the explanation that all their bikes require servicing within the first month. I chose to purchase from a physical retailer and pay for assembly to avoid exactly this type of situation. In reality the bike was not delivered in a ready-to-ride condition despite paying for that, and the follow-up support did not meet my expectations by far. Not something I'd expect from a professional bike shop... Definitely can NOT recommend Leon Cycle!

I bought a ET-CYCLE F720 from Pedl here in Sydney. The Bike after 2 years was a total lemon. However it all came to a head when the sensor in the motor that the computer talks to failed. The computer on my bike started to turn off every 5 minutes so I took it to my local authorised Leon Cycle dealer. They advised me that the sensor failed. I asked them to give me a quote to repair. I was advised that the part couldn't be repaired and I required a whole new motor/ rear wheel. And I was quoted $800 fitted. I paid $1995 for the bike therefore under the Consumer Guarantee provisions of Australian Consumer law I am entitled to have this replaced for free. Well Leon Cycle was not having a bar of this, I even sent them the official government PDF which advises them of their legal obligations under Australian consumer law (Photos of the emails attached. So basically I paid $1995 for a bike that was useless after two years. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT PURCHASE AN ELECTRIC BIKE FROM LEON CYCLES AS THEY WILL NOT COMPLY WITH THEIR OBLIGATIONS UNDER CONSUMER GUARANTEE PROVISIONS OF AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW.

Thus far my NCM Paris Max NCR is UNUSEABLE! It took extreme force to unfold the main folding hinge, despite loosening off allen screws top and bottom. Thus far I can't get far enough to snap the spring load hinge into position, much less operate the quick release. NOT HAPPY!

Why 1 star. I wouldn't know how to rate the bike as it hasn't arrived, even though when I purchased it, it was supposed sec to take 2-8 days to arrive. Currently it is now 14 days and the transport company collected it on the 19th May from Melbourne. Nothing takes 11 days to arrive in Perth. The transport company Leon use is rated at 1.3 on Trust Pilot. Another great service. I would only purchase from this company again if I could walk into a shop and take the product away.

Battery lock not enough strong to hold a more powered battery .It is made of V cheapest plastic and no any security.I have broken my battery holder and lock many times because only of small pits on road . I don’t wanna to give 1 star I want a -1 star to NCM bike battery holder n locks . These bikes are expensive but this disadvantage made them all cheaper. I don’t know company making a good bike but why don’t caring about this feature

kevin kevin 3 posts   4d   Highly disappointing and unprofessional !!! My recent experience with Leon Cycles has been highly disappointing and unprofessional. I purchased a bike with the expectation of quality and support, but instead faced serious safety issues that Leon Cycles has failed to resolve effectively. Upon arrival, the bike had clear faults—a misaligned rear mudguard and a cable dangerously close to the tyre, both of which posed real safety risks. I immediately reported these issues, expecting Leon Cycles to prioritize customer safety. Instead, I encountered repeated delays, minimal assistance, and an offer of a mere a tiny refund—an amount completely inadequate to address these serious defects. After weeks of back-and-forth, Leon Cycles finally suggested a replacement, yet assumed that I hadn’t been riding the bike due to safety concerns. This assumption was not only unprofessional but also inconsiderate, as I had already made it clear that this bike is my only transportation for commuting. Even now, I am waiting on a viable solution, either a proper replacement or a refund that covers the necessary repairs. Leon Cycles has demonstrated a lack of urgency, accountability, and professionalism in handling a simple yet critical issue. The disregard for customer safety and satisfaction is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend them until they make serious improvements in both product quality and customer support.

The service by Shane at Leon was excellent - but the delivery by Aramex was terrible. The 100 gram parcel took over 2 weeks to get from Melbourne to Perth, and then they did not deliver the parcel to the address provided. I had to go about 3 km to pick up the parcel from a pharmacy is another suburb.

Bought 3 e-bikes from Leon cycles 10 months ago. The battery has stopped working on one of them. Leon cycles will not honour the warranty. The retailer blames the manufacturer and the manufacturer blames the retailer. I had to fork out $600 on a new battery.
