We purchased a leather power recliner ($2000+). After several months we called for a technician because chair was leaning to the right side and chair was under warranty. A technician attended in September 19, and determined a part was broken a needed replacing. He advised that they would order the part and return to repair the recliner (could take 6-8 weeks for part to come in). At the time of this review (January 5) , Leon's has still not repaired the recliner.

Leons in Newmarket. Bought a sectional and the cushions pancakes right away. I agreed to pay for a higher density foam 240 dollars 5 weeks later the new foam came and it was the exact same foam. I am so upset as I was told it was on sale for 2000 and saw it for 999. In another store. Total junk and now I am on the hook for 2000

Buyers beware, all sells are final for all the items at Leon's. Bought a mattress at Leon's and wasn't able to return, exchange, or exchange for a different items and no store credit offer. This was what Leon said.

Disappointed with Faulty Product and Poor Customer Service I purchased a washing machine from Leon's, expecting a smooth experience, but it has been a nightmare. The machine was delivered late at 7 PM on December 21, 2024. Upon installation the next morning, I realized it was malfunctioning despite carefully following the manual. When I called customer service, they told me to deal with the manufacturer instead of offering a resolution. Frustrated, I drove to the store to speak to the manager. After waiting over 30 minutes, the manager refused to address my concerns and insisted I handle the issue with the manufacturer. When I refused, citing my rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 and the Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery's guidelines on returns, exchanges, and warranties. that allow a 10 days return or refund for faulty products, the manager escalated by calling the police, falsely accusing me of damaging the machine during installation. This was unprofessional and unacceptable. The machine wasn’t tested before delivery, and the delivery process itself could have caused the damage. Customers shouldn’t be blamed or left without a resolution for faulty products. I urge others to think twice before purchasing from Leon's. Always clarify the return policy and ensure your rights are respected. This experience has been nothing but stress and disappointment.

Bought a sectional end of April 2024. Delivered 5 weeks later. Loved lovely but as soon as I started to use it the cushions flatten like a pancake . The cushions were to small for the frame so you end up with your legs resting on the frame with a pancake cushion. It took many weeks but they promise to send some high density foam which had agreed to pay 280 for 4 cushions. Just so it was use able. Finally after many weeks they came and was the exact same foam and the invoice for the store fell out of the box . They paid 70 dollars for 4 cushions the cheapest foam you can buy. Again I called Leon's in Newmarket. I was polite and asked to have what I was promised. The lady was yelling at me and told me maybe that's the manufactures take on high density. On sale for 2000 dollars but it's even usable. Cheap Chinese goods. Lesson learned never go there again. Nothing but total junk. This was a retirement gift to myself it's been nothing but upset being on a very tight budget. I tell everyone don't shop there. Same sofa sell for 999 other stores. So embarrassed with people come over and sit on it.

The showroom product was different than what was delivered. Badly stuffed and wrinkled. The ‘leather’ is manufactured leather from Vietnam where they grind up old scraps and roll it out. This product was $2300 and even the people sent out to examine it agreed with me. Terrible customer service. No help at all. I spoke to the help line but they just shuffled me along. My first and last experience with Leons. They totally are a rip off company

Purchased a living room set in late November. No calls, no follow up, no info until mid December. Only to be told the product I paid for won’t be in until late February at the earliest. Stay away from Leon’s. Currently getting the run around to get my money back.

Never ever buy from here. They’ll sell you something that doesn’t work and just send you to the manufacturer which also doesn’t care so you’re left with something that doesn’t work and zero help

Pathetic response from Kelowna Leon's regarding our complaint on a table lamp shade that they attached an unremovable plastic sales price holder on. It is impossible to remove this without destroying the shade but their customer service manager accused us of lying and being abusive on our recorded call for compensation. Not the Leon's I remember and not the Leon's I will purchase anything else from !!!

Absolutely worst products and customer service ever. I ordered a brand new couch, loveseat, chair and ottoman. The chair was used, the cushion was soft, the back was slouchy, the arms were dirty and there was a piece of material sticking out on the side of one of the arms. The ottoman had a crease in the material right across the top, the bottom was not new and again a piece of material was sticking out. It took a lot to finally get them to agree to replace the chair and the ottoman. When they finally did exchange the chair and ottoman, it was in worse condition then what they originally brought me. Again I have had to phone and send pictures of the damage. This site won’t even let me add pictures to prove how damaged the chair is…. If it was possible, I would give 0 stars! Do yourself a favour and stay away from Leon’s, go anywhere else but this store if you’re looking for new furniture.

Again, Leon's does what they do the best, lying to customers about furniture delivery dates just to sell things quickly. And then they keep moving the delivery date from two weeks to another month and then another month again and they still have no idea when the furniture will acrually come. If we knew it would be 4 months of waiting to get it of course we wouldn’t buy it. That's how they trick their customer, take money right away and deliver whenever they want. Shame on you Leon's.

Leon's store in Brampton. Wanted to give less than 1 star, however site has no option for that. I went in to buy a refrigerator on a day before Black Friday. Entire experience was a horrible and a pathetic customer service. Issues with Leon's sale:- 1) They made me sign a delivery declaration stating that I am releasing them and their delivery guys of all liabilities in case something goes wrong or damages happen while delivery and the document is vague which can be detrimental to customer's interest. Please see the attached picture of that document. 2) I paid extra for hauling away old fridge. They did't mention anything about dismantling the old item. Old people, people with no handyman experience should avoid going to this store unless you are ok to hire some appliance technician to dismantle old item before they can haul away. Their website also does not mention about the dismantling part. Their delivery guy came in measured the door, the fridge and advised cannot haul away old fridge as doors are not removed. They took the new one back to store. As a result, I had to go back to the store to get a refund. Result, I wasted 2 hours the day of purchase and had to wait for the delivery guy and go back to the store for refund. 3) No one is ready to take responsibility of the loss to the client. I spoke to their delivery manager "ABHI" who simply said you can get a refund and delivery guys cannot haul away as doors are not removed. When I asked why it was not mentioned to me by sales rep at the time of sale or on their website. They said it is there in their site and they expect customers to have some dismantling skills of items. Seriously, expecting clients to dismantle electrical appliances. Disappointing fact is that they did not mention this, due to which I had to waste few hours of my busy time. When I mentioned about posting my experience in social media to see how other customers react, ABHI "POLITELY" asked me to leave comments on Google reviews which I am doing now. Wish he recommended few more sites to express my feelings. Though this part is sarcasm, but he did asked me to put a review, showing their careless attitude towards customers experience. They lack empathy and sympathy towards customers, as they think no matter what customers think, once they advertise with some discounts, customers would throng their shop and hence makes no difference to their business. Sad part, may be that's how it is, I guess. This saga of bad customer service will continue to flourish as long as this attitude continues..... On the whole experience was below average and bottom line not a good brand to shop. If this is the experience with a brand new sale can see how their after sale attitude would be after sale. Can't stress enough, please, old people, people lacking handyman experience stay away from these guys unless you are willing to spend some extra bucks on appliance guys to dismantle old items.

I purchased a TV from Leon’s as a retirement gift for my 70-year-old mother, trusting in their reputation and the quality of their products. Unfortunately, that trust was completely misplaced. The TV failed just 16 months after purchase, leaving my mother—who is on a fixed income—with the burden of dealing with an expensive, short-lived purchase. When I initially contacted Leon’s customer support through their website, their response was cold and dismissive. They simply reminded me that the TV was out of the 12-month manufacturer warranty and stated there was “nothing they could do.” The email even ended with the shocking line: “Please consider this our last correspondence regarding this matter.” Still hoping for a resolution, my elderly mother went into the store to plead her case. For a senior living on a limited income, every dollar matters, and buying a TV is a significant investment. Despite her efforts, the store staff said they were unable to help. Leon’s did take the initiative to contact the manufacturer on my behalf, which I appreciated. However, after multiple follow-up calls, they informed me that the manufacturer was unable to assist. In that same conversation, Leon’s suggested I come in and shop their Black Friday sale—a suggestion that felt like a slap in the face. Essentially, their best offer was for me to spend more money in their store after selling me a product that barely lasted over a year. This entire experience has been deeply frustrating and disheartening. Leon’s failure to stand by the products they sell, combined with their inability to provide a meaningful resolution, shows a lack of care and accountability. For seniors or anyone on a fixed income, deciding where to spend your money is important—and Leon’s has proven they are not a store you can trust. To anyone considering shopping at Leon’s, think twice. If something goes wrong, you might find yourself out of options and left with nothing but disappointment. It’s not just about the TV—it’s about standing by your customers and doing what’s right. I cannot recommend this store to anyone. Bottom line: Leon’s cares about the sale, not the customer. Spend your money somewhere that values you, especially if you’re on a fixed income and need purchases to last.
