Established in October 2000 Lexham Insurance was originally formed as a specialist broker handling Moped, Scooter and Motorcycle Insurance. The operation has rapidly expanded and now handles polices for tens of thousands of riders and drivers in the UK and Northern Ireland.

“Failure to call back to talk about renewals Failure to answer my emails about renewals. Dont know why, but very quick to take my money. Probably wont renew with them next year as if this is the level of service i hate to think what would happen if i needed their services.”

“Very disappointed , I bought a new bike but could not transfer the insurance . I had to cancel the policy at great cost and then take out a new policy. Why couldn't I have simply transferred?”

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Very sorry to hear that you have had this issue - I cannot comment your specific case but, in general, as a broker we provide policies from our panel of insurers. An insurer may provide a policy which is for a certain type of vehicle and, if you change to a vehicle not covered on that scheme, they will not be able to insure it. For example mopeds and scooters, to high CC vehicles.

“I got a quote which was reasonable. I then bought the vehicle and went to use the quote but they increased the price by £150 after 7 days! That is ridiculous increase. Unfortunately that happened with every provider. I also tried contacting them via email and I got no response when I was seeking help on the documentation requirements. That does not feel me with reassurance if I ever needed the insurance.”
