What ever you do, stay away from this company. They could not be more unprofessional if they tried and have caused me a great deal of stress after selling me a defective item. I'm not joking when I say I had a nervous breakdown on the phone with them after trying to contact them repeatedly for weeks and getting the same empty promises that someone from management would call me back. I bought a very expensive chandelier from them which had a missing piece that is made clear it was required in order to safely fit the light. I only found out after I had the electrician over and am now £48.50 out of pocket for the wasted visit. I expected they would pay me compensation given that they themselves said the item was defective. It turns out that they simply never provide the crucial piece, it doesn't appear in the list of parts supplied, yet it does appear in the product instructions! They offered me a replacement light despite me telling them I would still have the same issue of the missing crucial piece!! The sad thing is I really wanted to keep the chandelier and asked them many times for the details of the crucial piece so that I could fit it safely. Over the course of 3 weeks, they kept promising me that someone would call me back "within 48 hours". Needless to say it never came. They simply don't care. As a result they had to refund me the item costing £659, yet I am still out of pocket for my electrician's bill of £48.50. Shame on you Youssef, Yasir, Souffian and all the others I dealt with. It reflects so badly on you that you made empty promises to call me back and simply restarted the 48 hour clock at each phone call I made chasing any updates. In the meantime, I strongly urge you not to buy any of their electrical items as this will happen to you too - they are still selling the item I bought so clearly they have no interest in worrying about selling a defective product.

I always thought that this company is a kind of premium brand because prices are high and the website appearance. It's the first time I ordered from this company and I don't recommend it to anyone. I ordered a mirror and also added a vase because the delivery cost is very high so I thought it is worthy. When I got the parcel they just send me the vase and they didn't send the mirror (the main item and most expensive item in my order), the invoice inside the parcel says mirror "quantity 0". I contacted customer service and they just replied that they decided not to send the mirror because it didn't meet the HIGH standards of Maison du monde. They didn't inform me about it before they sent the parcel as they knew I would cancel my order in that case. LACK OF COMMUNICATION & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, they refuse to refund me the delivery cost. It's the HIGH STANDARS OF MAISON DU MONDE.

I have recently bough a bed frame form the site and when it did arrive, not only was it faulty but it did not come with bed slats. When checking the product page after, I saw that on it it clearly says that mattress is not included and then that spring bed slats are recommended. When I called to ask what that was about I was told that that is how all beds in France are sold (as a UK customers I some how should have guessed that I suppose) and by the wording in the as, again I should have somehow known. They did not offer to send slats ( I needed to pay an extra £200+ to make the product usable) and didn't even offer to amend the wording on the site. Be aware and stay away.

Beware of this company. They are scammers. We ordered a garden table from them in August. Tried to send it back by initiating a returns request through their website. Nearly four months later, no response despite numerous follow ups. It appears many people have the same experience. Don’t touch them with a barge pole. They shouldn’t be in business.

After months of trying to figure out how to return items,, with no help from customer service,, we received a partial refund that didn’t make sense,, there was over £100 missing. Now they do not get back to us and ignore emails. Absolute joke!!!!!. Avoid this shabby company.

Absolutely awful experience! Ordered 2 pieces that arrived smashed to bits! They make it extremely difficult to contact them. No answer to their phone. The delivery took 3 months (which we understood due to current difficulties) however the website therefore wouldn’t refund, as they calculated dates from date ordered not delivered. No reply to emails! I wished I had seen the numerous similar reviews on trust pilot! Def avoid this company/- it’s a complete scam!

I ordered a small chest of drawers on 27/7/2020. £70 (including delivery) for a small carved side table. I received an email to say it had been despatched on 29/7 and that the shipping partner, Chronopost, would be in touch with me about delivery... then nothing. The estimated delivery was 31/7- 13/8. No communication from either company and no delivery of my item. The item was still available to purchase from their website during this time. I waited until the 13/8 to message Maisons Du Monde just incase. Again the item was still in stock online (I checked before messaging). They took 7 days to get back to me to say, it was despatched on 29th June but in fact now the item was sold out and I would receive a refund In 10 days. I had NO communication from either company and it had taken me messaging them to get this refund. If I hadn’t they would still have my money, I would have no refund and no communication at all! To top it off the end of their reply said ‘We hope you’re not too cross with us’ How patronising! I am a returning customer to Maisons Du Monde. I have purchased furniture/home accessories from them several times. I don’t feel that I will consider this company again in the future after being treated this way

We bought a dish rack from them (£30), firstly there was no tracking information and it arrived late, when we got it is was damaged, the website would not process the return and kept stating error, we called the helpline and they processed it for us, we have now been chasing for 4 weeks to get our money back , we have sent 5 messages and spoken to a number of unhelpful and rude people!

Had my delivery arrive, and it was broken and bad quality. Immediately filed a complaint via the website and wish for a refund. I also added photo evidence. No response. This was in June. Two months later still haven't heard anything, despite having issued two more complaints via the website - cannot see another way to contact them. So I have a broken shelf sitting in my house, no refund, and no way of getting in contact with this company. Basically stealing money at this point, the company is a shambles, and have previously had broken deliveries from them that have been hassle to get a refund from. DO NOT USE!

CAUTION !!! Never ever buy anything from them. SCAM AND FRAUD. I will go to small claims court... Ordered a bookcase and some other items, worth quite a lot of money. Ordering process and payment were just fine. Bookcase arrived 2 weeks later - it was clear that the delivery company (or Maisons Du Monde depot) mistreated the box which was damaged all over. Inside the box, the bookcase was broken, some shelves smashed. Contacted them online immediately for a refund and the collection of the item. 4 weeks on, no reply whatsoever. No other way to contact them unfortunately, you need to fill an online form. After waiting long enough, called the number on their website several times (at least on 10 different occasions): same answer each time - "we can't help, after sales department do not work at the moment due to COVID". They repeatedly suggest I need to wait for an "unknown period". It is so convenient to blame it on COVID, isn't it? People get so shameless to cover their incompetency and fraud in the name of COVID. Maisons Du Monde is one of them.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. Faulty goods, long delays and a customer service team that doesn’t exist. Only way to contact them is via social media to which you get an automated response. How are they even allowed to still trade?!

I found a beautiful piece of furniture perfect for my second living area. However, there is not an "add to cart" button on the website. I used the "contact us" on the website to ask how to purchase the furniture. After waiting several days and no one contacted me, I placed a phone call to the number listed on the website. The recording states that wait times are 25 minutes. I stayed on hold waiting to speak to customer service for almost an hour, and no one answered. I think this business is completely fake! After reading all of the reviews while waiting for someone to answer, I am convinced this is not a place to shop, and will be finding furniture elsewhere.

Terrible customer service I received the wrong items. I contacted Maisons du monde through their website, by email, on the phone. Nothing worked. I am left with items I didn't want but paid for. In the meantime, obviously, I didn't receive what I wanted. Completely unacceptable, even in times of COVID.

Website seems genuine and looks good. But don't be fooled. There are no customer service teams. The phone lines are turned off and not working. My item arrived damaged and i cannot contact them to get a refund. 1) This company should not be allowed to sell. 2) This company should not be selling if they have no customer service team. 3) This to be sounds like the work of Fraudsters I have yet to receive a refund!

I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing from this company. I purchased some chair covers that do not fit and I have been trying to return then for almost 2 months now. They initially sent me an email to confirm the return mentioning that DHL would get in touch to arrange the collection. That was in June and now it is August. Have not heard from DHL, have sent email to the Maison du Monde customer service which have not been replied. I have also just tried to ring their customer service number and the after sales option is conveniently unavailable. I then spoke to Emma in sales who said that unfortunately she could not help me. I spent almost £200 on something I cannot use and I really regret I did not buy it from a reputable company as clearly Maison du Monde is not one! Stay away from them if you can.

Worst customer service ever. I cancelled an order 3 days after placing it both online and by calling them. More than 3 weeks later still waiting for a refund, and being asked when I want the item delivered. Now I need to wait for the delivery and do not accept it. Are they really serious? Apparently, they are even proud of this procedure, so much that they have included it in their terms and conditions that you can find online. No serious company will have that, it does not make any sense. I guess they want to keep couriers busy for no reason. If it is a public company, investors should be worried, what a mess.

Decorating your first home is supposed to be a joyful experience, Maison du Monde makes sure that is NOT the case... We received a gift card from our friends as welcoming present, making the order was a nightmare as the system was not processing the code. After a very long wait on the phone, we managed to place the order (June 1st). It’s been more than 2 months and we haven’t received the items. I managed to call the logistic partner and they say that they will NOT Proceed with the delivery as they only have 2 out the 3 packages. When I call Maison du Monde, they say that they will not send the third package as they don’t have the table on stock anymore (no email, no notification... I only hear about it when I call). Finally they agree to contact with the delivery company to give the 2 packages and refund me the table... this was over a week ago... again, NOTHING! After calling their “ customer service” line, their only solution is for us to be “patient” - WROST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Would not recommend them, never buying from them again!

I wanted to pick up 2 somiers for a bed. On the website it stated shops had stock, but when I got to the shop they said they don't have them in stock but you have to buy them online with an added 50 Euro's delivery fee. Scam shop. Don't buy.
