I would like to leave zero stars but unfortunately that’s not an option. I ordered a hand towel as part of a bigger home order. The towel arrived with zero packaging other than the couriers bag. It was stained with bird excrement!! Beyond belief. Marks and Spencer have completely lost the plot recently and their products and customer service cannot be relied on any longer

We thought we would buy a special meal from M&S to celebrate our anniversary and as we are vegetarian options are somewhat restricted. However, I saw the Gastropub range and was attracted by the "Gastropub Bombay Potato and Lentil Bake by Tom". Looking forward to the meal ended in distinct disappointment; the dish was excessively salty, the curry paste/powder used tasted raw and the overall dish ended up being inedible - a more than disappointing meal for our celebration. As an individual meal at over £11 this was absolutely disgusting and would never buy again.

The customer service was excellent, and the product quality was very good. The item was offered at an affordable price, making it a great value for money.

The beef is absolutely disgusting- mince meatballs or their organic beef tastes exactly the same and equally disgusting- how are they getting away with selling such bad tasting beef - it doesn’t taste like beef at all - what type of people are buying that rubbish meat ? Why does the cheaper M&S beef have exactly the same rat taste beef as the organic? I don’t usually shop at coop or Sainsbury’s etc but even their beef is better - How is M&S getting away with selling beef that smells like rat meat ?

Bought sofas which after a couple of weeks realised they smelled of mould. Eventually after 3 months they were replaced. The new sofas began to sink in certain areas. An independent inspector came to look at them and reported this was down to wear and tear! After 4 months with only 2 people using them! Customer services were absolutely no help at all and made me feel like a second class citizen. We’ve had to place boards under the cushions as the underneath has sunk so much you feel as though you’ll hit the floor. I paid for firm cushions which I have however the underneath has sunk so badly it doesn’t matter about the cushion firmness. After years of being a loyal customer - I’ve had two other suites from m n s along with other furniture - I will never buy from them again and urge anyone thinking of buying sofas from them NOT to. Be warned. £3000 will go down the drain 🤬

Absolutely worthless company, management encourager staff to lie to customers in their face, when you complain your being sent from one department to the next, no one take responsibility. Will never visit again and don't recommend this shop to anyone. consider Zara instead

I bought a lambswool crew neck jersey for my husband in March which cost £40 and fitted perfectly. It has now been washed twice, following the care instructions, and it has shrunk and no longer fits him. This is the second lambswool jumper that this has happened too. I’m really disappointed .

Awful experience with M&S. Ordered 3 cushions and then needed another. I ordered online and the address defaulted to Jersey rather than UK. I spent ages on the phone and then emailed 3 times. It was confirmed it was sorted. However, I have received an email today advising order cancelled and I can expect a refund in 7 days. Shame the service and reputation of what used to be a great store has now diminished to such poor customer experience. M&S over promise and under deliver.

I had ordered flowers and champagne as an 80th birthday gift to be delivered today to someone very important to me. M and S damaged the gift in transit and informed me at 12 pm today, giving me the choice of a refund or delivery on a new date. I spent the next hour talking to 3 different people who were emphatically not willing to look at any option for being able to make this right for me. I asked to speak to the head of the “elevation” department, the director of customer care or the CEO and was repeatedly advised that none of these people are customer facing and (apparently) do not EVER speak to customers. I suggested several alternatives, including sending any nice bunch of flowers and bottle of wine from any store as a replacement for the damaged gift, but was told (also) emphatically that this was also not possible, even though five hours of the working day remained. I have been a loyal M&S Customer for decades. I chose M&S to deliver my gift when I had hundreds of other options. I think the way my request for help was handled today was truly awful and M and S customer care is woeful.

I ordered flowers for my sister for a day that is very special to her concerning her late husband. She was expecting the delivery so waited in all day, turning down an offer to go for coffee with a friend. I had a message to say that the 'parcel' was delayed. This may have been OK if the parcel had been an item of clothing or other non-perishable goods but surely not for flowers. For one thing, flowers are often send for a special day and they droop very quickly. They arrived the next day which completely ruined the occasion.

Rushed into my local M&S mini-store for a couple of items. Had an empty transparent carrier bag, so popped the couple of small items in there. On my way to tills to pay, when accosted by an M&S lady, thrusting an empty wire basket at me - telling me in a stroppy manner, to use it, instead of my clear carrier bag. No signs anywhere stating this. 'Chief Executive & 'Customer Relations' then lied about what happened. M&S gone downhill!..I won't shop there again!

Went into M&S in Charlton on the off chance that I could be measured for a new Bra. A lovely lady named Sayra had some time before her next appointment so kindly sorted me out. She was very helpful. I left with 2 Bras. Very happy with service. Thank you.

IO visited the Handforth store on 21.04.26. I was looking for a picnic basket and Sheila, an extremely helpful member of staff took me under her wing and showed me all the items associated with picnics. I purchased the basket and plates and glasses and cutlery. Sheila should be commended for the way she assisted both my daughter and I(we even considered asking if Sheila wanted to come to the picnic). Excellent customer service and a credit to M&S.
