I live in South Africa and sent mum a bunch of flowers to the U.K. for Mother’s Day. She is elderly and these types of communications speak volumes. I was surprised to not have heard from her by the end of last Sunday so I checked to see when the delivery had happened and the flowers had been dropped off at completely the wrong house! Luckily I had a pic from the couriers proof of delivery, but my poor mum had to get dressed and walk to the house in the pouring rain and carry the box back! A totally ruined surprise, not to mention shambles on every level! I contacted M&S and their response was a basic ‘sorry your mum had to walk in the rain’ and send me a £10 e-card which is of no use to me as I live in Africa, and it’s also of no use to my mother as she wouldn’t know what to do with it! I also don’t want to spend more money with this company! I told M&S all this and they couldn’t care less - saying that they are sorry that I’m not satisfied!!!

I ordered some leather ankle boots online as they didn't have my size in the Birmingham City Centre store. I ordered two pairs in different sizes along with a couple of other items. I collected the order which was in a large cardboard box. When I tried my size on in the boots they fitted perfectly, so I had to return the larger size. I visited the Mere Green food hall to do this. The boots were in the original polythene packaging with the cardboard inserts and I had wrapped them in a white plastic bag and tied it up. When the assistant served me she said that they should be in the original packaging they had arrived in. I explained that this was a very large box. I said I had travelled there by bus and the box was too large to carry. She said it doesn't matter and repeated it should be in original packaging. I told her I was offended by her altitude. She was really rude. I am 5 foot tall and a senior citizen. Disgraceful customer service.

I was in your Kirkcaldy food branch today one member of staff I wish I knew her name was very helpful and polite but another at the checkout called Elinor was quite rude not once but twice to my daughter and I have to say we both found it totally unacceptable no need for this .

I shop for food at the Simply Food in Bath. There are now many products missing from the shelves: yesterday no frozen onions or herbs, no loose pill lady apples or pears. The elderflower cordial now just tastes of sugar even though it has gone up considerably in price. It is no longer a premium product but is just cheap squash with a high price.

I will no longer shop at Marks and Spencers due to their Christmas ad this year. It was disappointing to see hats in the Palestinian flag colours burning.

I tried to purchase trousers over the past number of weeks. Each day I go on to the M&S website and there is no availability in the extra short length. This seems to be a popular size and yet you never have any in stock.

I think the end is near for M&S. The level of service is so bad its now beyond recovery. Its time to go folks, pack your stuff and just go. you've had a decade to get it right and you have failed your customers, instead focusing on execs bonuses and shareholder dividends.

It hurts me to give Marks & Spencer a poor review, But yet again after visiting their instore Cafe at Newport Isle of Wight Many tables still uncleared from previous customers. There is now a constant bleeping noise coming from the kitchen area which can be heard in the Cafe (It sounds like you are in an ICU ward) and to top it off, coffees are now being dished up in cheap cardboard cups. I wont be visiting this Cafe again, 2nd bad experience in under a month. Something is being done wrong in the Newport Isle of Wight store. IS THERE NO MANAGER OPERATING THIS STORE?!

Marks and Spencer is Such a Disgrace We bought a bed from Marks and Spencer in February 2023 and now it is already July, but the experience has been a nightmare, and M&S is not what it used to be. The lead time is long, and when it was eventually delivered, it was noticed by the delivery guys that the fabric was ripped. We contacted M&S and a new bedframe was ordered. After 6 more weeks, when the replacement was delivered, the delivery guys noticed that the new bedframe was also ripped and had to be returned to the warehouse, and another new bed frame to be ordered. Six more weeks passed, and the new delivery was supposed to be yesterday, and the delivery guys called half an hour before arriving informing us they could only deliver the new bed but could not take the old damaged one away (since it was not booked by M&S). They contacted M&S to enquire about this and said they would call us back. This is when everything went silent and despite numerous tries, we could not get in contact with M&S; and the delivery guys did not even turn up. Our calls were repeatedly cut off and we were asked to find out the answers from Q&A ... Each time we had to take time off work to wait for the delivery and the amount of time it wasted is huge - not to mention the stress it caused us! Customer services filed a complaint on our behalf last time but nothing happened. There is no communication and no improvement. M&S used to be a reputable company with excellent customer services but not any more. Still don't know when we will receive our bed and have the damaged one taken away. Really disappointed, and this is probably the last time we will do any business with Marks and Spencer. Date of experience: 13 July 2023

i have to be honest and say i have shopped in most of the marks and Spencers stores and the staff there are lovely some may look like they have won the lottery and lost the ticket but when you read Torquay food halls reviews and the way Andrew Harris there commercial manager told Dale Stevens who put in a complaint to the customer service team against Andrew for being so rude to him it didn't end there unfortunately for Dale when he went back in the store again Andrew saw Dale and his words were hello mate i here you made a complaint against me to the customer service team i said yes i did he said i hate to tell you this but they will just pay lip service with you because marks and Spencers look after there managers but from the bottom of my hart i feel so sorry for you the customer because marks and Spencers just don't value there customers but hay you have a nice day and he walked off smiling i just walked out fuming with this arrogant pig when i went in the store store again this very large scruffy woman with very thick glasses on said Dale can i have a quick word outside the store she then took me to the side of the building where she said i take it very seriously when someone makes a complaint against my management team my role here is to protect my staff and the good name of the store and when i went to reply she put her hands over her ears and turned her back to me and said i don't want to here what you have to say i just thought what a way to promote marks and Spencers even the trolly man from Sainsbury said how rude was she to me when i went back in the store again week later a member of staff who i new said Dale Andrew and Claire have told all the staff not to engage with you at all and they are determined to stop you shopping here it didn't take them long to do this i was told that rewarding staff for excellent customer service skills was against there polices so why did the staff take it from me than and was then told that Nicola section manager who by the way is best friends with Andrew and her girlfriend Dawn said they felt uncomfortable when i just went in store to get my shopping which i have shopped there for over 30 yrs and there husbands were ringing to make sure they got to work safe what a joke it all was i never went back in that store again but to my horror this Nicola then sent the police to my home saying in 2019 i sent her flowers in 2020 i went in to Marks and Spencers shouting at the staff and in 2021 i put a review on her and her girlfriends cars they had no evidence of these made up allegations and the police had no right to come to my home i was told Nicola won the flowers in a raffle at work which is what she told her husband if i had been shouting at the staff it would have been logged on there cctv and kept as evidence as for the reviews i am told it was found in Sainsbury's and Nicola and Dawn new this and Andrew and Claire did to i have to say this is two very nasty Histrionic people i should have taken my solicitors advice and taken legal action against them its not surprising if when they see me they look so nervous and so they should there's no place on this planet for people who Lie through there teeth i was innocent and did nothing wrong i am the kindest generous man you could meet but have to say Andrew was right when you tell a customer the truth Marks and Spencers rewarded and promoted Andrew to AREA MANAGER this company can't even explain to the customer how the hell they would allow there managers to treat a good loyal customer this way my word of advice to all customers never complain to customer services or the so called executive team all the executive team could say is we will always side with our managers weather there right or wrong i will never forgive Moxhay or Dawn for there Lies and it was all Lies and they no it

you would have to agree if the general manager can Ban a shopper that had shopped in that store for over 20 years for rewarding her staff for excellent customer services skills what the Hell is going on in Torquay the stores name is the talk of Torquay and the general manager Claire seems to be controlled by her staff and section managers Nicola being the ring leader HR should have taken the time to seen this gentleman to see how wrong this all was in support of all this Gentleman i shop elsewhere its shocking to read her side kick Mr A Harris took a £100 in cash from this Gentleman and told him we can take it but must Donate it to charity so how lovely is that to here but it seems Andy wanted this Gentleman out of HIS store after he put in a complaint to head office about him so it seems clear don't complain about managers or they will find excuses to Ban you it shows a great store in a very bad way

After reading Marks and Spencers reviews Moxhay and the general manager Thomas should have been sacked I wouldn’t sleep at night if I lied for my teeth about someone that was INNOCENT 😇

It was 18 months ago when this manager took my complement the wrong way and with her girlfriend not only got me banned from that store but even went as far as to send the police to my home with made up allegations which had no evidence at all my solicitor said to take action against them but as my friends say you won’t win with chavs and there advice was right as some of them work at the Torquay marks Spencers store so Nicola and Dawn when you sit down at night what you did to me was more than nasty you both have Histrionic issues

HR if a section manager ie Moxhay from Torquay food hall can call the police and make false allegations against a innocent shopper it’s DISGUSTING 🤢

TORQUAY FOOD HALL MANAGERS. read these reviews and tell me how HR can sit back and allow there managers to behave in this manor and speak to a customer like they did it must be so UPSETTING to every customer that reads them and as a result of this i will never shop in TORQUAY FOOD HALL again a customer that shopped there for over 25 years so wasn't a shoplifter or swore at the staff just rewarded them for showing good customer service skill unlike there senior managers and if this Moxhay rang the police and made allegations about me which where all lies i would have taken her straight to court for slander and false allegations it sounds like he said she said you would be told by our HR department jump before your pushed for representing our company in that manor but as the lovely Andy says M+S just don't care the whole thing is SHOCKING and to think Andy took £100 cash of this shopper its just unbelievable how do they get away with this.

Torquay Food Hall reviews every one in the Food Hall new theses three managers were determined to get this lovely shopper banned from our store and they did in a very nasty 🤮 way but Moxhay has to live with her lie’s and what she did 👹

reading the reviews on torquay food hall i to have to say how the general manager C.Thomas could take someone outside and say my roll here is to protect the good name of the store and my staff as she flicks her fingers in the air does she not see that she has just Destroyed Marks and Spencers good name that they spent years building up i am sure HR would agree what she should have said to the customer was the most important thing is to make sure you have The best customer shopping experience possible in my store if she had any skills as a manager at all and then of Course to protect the staff and good name of the store C Thomas should have been told to apologise to this customer but instead was allowed to ban them from the food hall her excuse was it was against Marks and Spencers policies for customers to reward there staff for good customer services yet the staff took these gifts from the customer have to say Thomas Harris Moxhay have to be the most unpleasant managers that work for M+S but have to say 99 percent of marks Spencers managers and staff are the best its just in Torquay its seriously bad clearly managers have become complacent i would have to say Claire Thomas has enough dynamite in her head to blow the head off a match stick
