“We were kept informed of our order by e-mail since day of ordering ! I was first delivery of the day which was fantastic ! I have a dining set & matching sideboard & as arrived very early, had all day to organise ! The products arrived in 4 hugh parcels - very well packaged with no damage in transit & still had time to clean up the room, take packaging to recycling & polystyrene to tip & the products look great ! We are very pleased with our first Matalan furniture purchases !! Thank you Matalan !!”

“I liked the pattern of the curtains and the quality however they were cut wrong! The curtains are Wonkey and became the pattern also rises on one side it enthersised the wonkeyness! Likely my partner is in the trade so packed one side to try and even it up as much as he could! But really disappointed with it! Are they not QC'ed?”

“Matalan is just my style of products, I love how modern there's stuff are and I'm always so pleased with the delivery especially the packaging, never a single scratch or smudge. I can always relay on Matalan with my fragile bits and bobs. I'm always ordering home collections for my house. Will always have Matalan at the top of my list if I ever never anything to make my house look prettier”

“Really pleased with the delivery. Expected delivery time 7am-10am. Received parcel by 7.05am. Friendly lads all the way from Yorkshire to Essex. I didn't know Matalan direct existed it was when I went online looking for a light grey blind. They were the only company that had one. Very happy with the service will use it again and have already promoted it to friends and colleagues.”

“Excellent delivery by 2 very friendly and helpful men. The bathroom cupboards are well made a look great in the bathroom. Good storage for all our bathroom needs. The laundry cupboard is great so able to sort out the laundry. The gloss finish to the cupboards give them the expensive look at a reasonable price. Cheaper than employing a professional bathroom fitting company. All can be fitted into the bathroom by a competent diy person.”

“Decent table at a good price. Difficult to get 4 chairs around the table as the three legs seem to get in the way however the chairs are placed, it seems to be made to seat 3. I was concerned at the 3 shoe prints on the glass, but the marks did clean off. Overall looks good but a little disappointed in practicality of seating 4 people. Delivery was odd, requested am and booked time off work, but delivery was around 5pm, so need not have had time off. Delivery driver agreed that am requested on paperwork, but then his loading dictated pm, would have been helpful to know more accurate delivery time. Received a text 30 mins before delivery asking if I would be in, presumably as time was so different to the one requested.”

“The entire purchasing process felt odd. At the checkout, I thought I would be able to select a date for delivery before paying by adding £2.99 to my bill, but the date and time slot was to be decided about a week later, not selected by me before purchase - what if I was only able to receive the drawers on a certain date and it was not possible for them to be delivered then? I had to pay before finding out - not cool. I was then sent a confirmation email, which felt normal, but then also got a second email saying "Your request (...) has been received by Matalan Direct, and is being reviewed by our support staff." - I did not send a request and nothing happened on this thread, so I found that a very strange part of the order process. I contacted you on Twitter about the named delivery date thing and you called me in response, which again, was weird and strangely invasive. I expect to receive notice if I am going to receive a phone call, and I do not expect contacting someone on Twitter to result in a phone call. Well done for working out who I was and everything, but it was pretty creepy. The guys who delivered the furniture asked me to sign to say that I've refused additional help with the placement/unpacking of my furniture without offering me either of those services, with no explanation as to what I was signing. It would have been great to know that the delivery guys were going to call me 20 minutes before they turned up so that I didn't have to get up before 7am to wait for them on a weekend, when they showed up just before 10am and called ahead. Overall, it was quite a confusing process - you would do well to standardise it in line with other e-commerce companies, or at least in line with Matalan.”

“Rug not as good as photo flecks show within the blue background colour and what should be white is a dirty cream. Only reason we kept it was we needed a rug quickly. Would not recommend, not worth the money.”

“Found the blinds I wanted on a different site but at double the price so was hesitant about buying them. I had a browse online for something similar at a better price. I found the exact same ones on Matalan at half the price and free delivery,no compromise needed and over £40 saved. Thank you Matalan.”

“I got a parking ticket for £155 because matalan didn't have any toilet facilities, I had to take my 5 year old to the toilet at Tesco's shopping centre which took me 20 mins over the parking time limit. I appealed but they were not interested. An expensive shopping experience in which I won't bother again.”
