“I have purchased a table and four chairs from the Genevieve range. They are exactly what I wanted and I am very pleased with them. However, when they arrived the boxes were branded as Juliet table and chairs. Having googled this, I was extremely upset to find that Matalan were selling Juliet as Genevieve, but with another company online the Juliet table was £26 cheaper, and each pair of chairs £26 cheaper, meaning that I could have bought the self same set for £78 cheaper from Furniture Joy. I did bring this to the attention of Matslan Direct management, and received a telephone call, but unfortunately no price matching or compromise! The other firm mentioned do a full range of items in this range, so afe definitely worth a look!”
“We ordered 2 x 2-packs of the Adalie Victorian style outside sensor lights. They were the best value by far of the metal bodied (rather than plastic casing) wall lights. We are very pleased with them and have surprised everyone by telling them where they are from and how much they cost - even the electricians who installed them were impressed by the quality and price. We were contacted ahead of the delivery to let us know the day they would arrive - so good service too.”

We do try to ensure that the instructions we provide are as clear and as easy possible however we do understand that sometimes certain items are slightly difficult to assemble.
We are stocking more and more products which are classed as "easy assemble" which essentially means there is limited assembly on behalf of the customer which of course makes the process easier.
Your feedback however for assistance in assembly will definitely be notified, as we progress and grow as a company we constantly assimilate and analyse all the feedback we get in order to improve service and our products for customers.

“Having broke my bath with the stepladders!! I wanted a cheap one to replace it as we are selling our house at the moment and found Matalan the cheapest ( but good quality) on both the bath and delivery. Other firms wanted £30 to deliver.
Excellent service from the delivery guys. Really pleased how good the bath looks. Highly recommend.”

“MIXED EMOTIONS
I have mixed emotions when trying to write this review as the service received from ordering to delivery was nothing short of first class. The delivery company were excellent and phoned 1hr before delivery as requested as no one was living in the property after the December floods.
The items arrived extremely well packaged (cardboard boxes with corner protectors and protective plastic)
Why mixed emotions, I hear you ask?
Well if you read the small print then you have to report any damge within 48hrs, however as we were not living in the property at time of delivery and when we un-packaged the basin it was cracked. Now as I said earler the goods were extremely well packaged and I can only assume this was cracked before the packaging stage as polystyrene were on the corners and it was inside a cardboard box inside another one and no sign of damge to the packaging.
When I rang to inform them all I got was "you need to read the small print" Well I'm sorry Matalan this is not good enough and I will not be recommending you to any friends or family. Shame as the product is excellent”
“Curtains arrived quite quickly & I was kept informed all the time by email, would of liked an invoice or receipt in parcel instead of delivery note, but service was very good”
