“We have been shopping at Morrisons River View store since it opened many years ago but just lately we have found that the fruit and vege is going off very quickly
I have watched staff fling apples lettuce etc around like a ruggby ball If this continues we will be doing our weekly shop elsewhere”
“I would normally shop at another supermarket, but morrisons at Lockwood was nearer for me and I needed something quickly. I have to say next time I will do the extra couple of miles. My list.... Burgen bread, femfresh wipes, pack of small tins slimline tonic water, lamb mince, warburtons 50/50 bread, deli manchego cheese and some cooked meats. For such a large supermarket I was amazed to see how poorly stocked it seems to be. Maybe I was having a bad day.... Burgen Bread no one had ever heard of but I find it everywhere else, only Andrex items stocked, only hovis 50/50 which I don't like, any cheddar, Cheshire, Leicester and other hard cheeses you might want but specialist forget it. The meats were dry and limited. Tonic had run out. Oh and 3 packs only of lamb mince in a sea of beef mince and products, even in the lamb section. Took me ages to find it then I had no choice but morrisons own. Come on guys.... It's not that hard... I won't be going back.”
“Worthing branch 8.10 am 05/10/15
I have shopped here almost every week day for approx. 2 years and have found certain members of staff to be very friendly. However in the past week on 3 separate occasions I have noticed I have been charged more at the till than the products price showed on the shelf. On one occasion by £4! Once, ok errors happen, but 3 times in a week shows a total lack of care and suggests management do not have a handle on this issue or do not see it as important. I wonder now how many times I have been overcharged. To bring this to a head today there wasn't a single fresh loaf or roll on offer 10 minutes after the opening of the store - totally unacceptable. I tried to complain but could see I wasn't going to get anywhere so instead I shall not be returning. If I cannot trust this store to get their pricing correct I shall shop elsewhere in future. I would suggest the future is not bright for Morrison's. If you do shop there check your bill every time.”
“Morrissons Dereham norfolk. False management no care for staff. Many products priced up wrong. Main manager a hypocrit.
I see big bosses raking it in. Cut backs dont harm them but other staff yes.
when they put savoury pastries pasties etc on offer 90% are cremated.
shelves not stacked fully read made salads hardly any main ingredients.
Floor dirty.
It goes on and on. I shopped there always. Now I've banned myself. Even had a manager ask me to write a good review for the morrissons in Dereham.
Go to lidl now. Staff helpful cjheaper cleaner. And aldi opening up soon. Morrissons will struggle big time.”
“Morrisons Aldershot. When for breakfast. Ordered the half price all English breakfast for 3 of us. Asked if we could skip the baked beans, only to be told that we couldn't swap any of the items. We clarified that we did want to swap any items but wanted an item off the plates. They went to check and were categorically told that you had to have what it came with. it was policy. I explained that we just didn't want the beans served. No they said. Then we asked for separate plates so we could scrap off the beans fro our plate. I was so incensed that I had to speak to the duty store manager. I couldn't believe how rigid the staff were. We weren't asking for anything more just a bit of common sense and to omit serving us the beans on our breakfast plate. The store manager was very apologetic.
I thought that for a company that so called prides itself on its customer service, it said a lot about the customer café section heads lack of leadership and managerial style that they didn't empower their staff to be more customer responsive. Hopeless!”
“Scotch pies-3 for the price of 2 as advertised for weeks in our local store. One snag they are packed in 2's! Reported this twice to staff members who promised they would take this up with their"boss". This is a not untypical trick at Morrisons which must be aimed at customers who are either in a big hurry or not paying attention to things like goods which are pre-printed e.g. £2.00 followed by an almost invisible "per Kilo". They then end up paying £3 because they have bought1.5 kilos. Do you wonder that there is now no problem in securing a parking place in Morrison's car parks. Not like the good old days!”
“My parents are both 86 years old and as my mother still drives they visit Morrisons once a week. However, they find the goods of a poor quality. Recently they bought steak but were unable to eat it as it was tough and full of gristle. Regularly they have had to throw milk away even though it has not reached its sell by date. As the store is close to their home it is very convenient to get to they are saddened that they now have to drive further to shop at Sainsburys. Isn't it a sad state of affairs that management allow this to happen even after the end of year profits showed that Morrisons was losing sales.”
“Needing a quick sandwich today, I decided to treat myself to one of the more expensive ones, a New York deli one, at £2.59 for a round. I opened the bag, from the back, took out the plastic container and Everything fell out all over the place. There was no indication that the inner, plastic container was not sealed and it was not possible to see this, without turning the bag back round. The top slice of bread just fell off, as there was no scrap of butter to hold it in place and I had meat, lettuce & tomato all over me.
The filling was quite nice, but whole thing was ruined by the cardboard rye bread, which screamed out for a layer of butter. What a disappointment!”
