“Has anyone noticed the considerable price increase on most items on the online shop compared to the supermarket? This is a review to WARN other customers. The first item I noticed it on is Milk 4 Pints, this is £1.65 in the store but £2.00 online, similarly 6 pints £2.40 in store but £2.95 online. Another item l buy quite often is Morrisons Spreadable butter £2.18 in store, £3.10 online. I had started an online shop and put these 2 items in my basket when l noticed these massive price increases, if you do the maths on the Morrisons Spreadable butter that is a 42% price increase! If you check most other items you will see a similar price increase. I promptly took the items out of the basket, cancelled my delivery slot. I did check other supermarkets online and there are no similar price increases? ‘SHAME ON YOU Morrisons’.”
“I ordered 3 sandwich platters from the Walderslade branch via click and collect.
My order was to be collected between 10am - 11am and I arrived at 10:40am, within my time slot. I parked in a bay and followed Morrisons emails instructions which let's them know I'm waiting for my order and where I'm parked.
After 15 minutes of waiting in my car with no order recieved I go into the store to see what's happened. I can see my sandwich platters in a crate by the newspapers, not refrigerated just in their original wrapping. I asked the shop assistant to confirm the sandwich plattes are a click and collect order and when she did I told her they were mine. I asked why they hadn't been bought to my car and how long had they been sitting in the shop without being refrigerated. She didn't apologise and told me they had been sitting in the shop out of the fridge since 10am. I picked up all of my order, no help offered, they didn't even ask me for proof this was my order. I could've been anyone.
Luckily the sandwiches were ok.
I made a complaint to Morrisons and this is their response:
1. You have to ask for food to be refrigerated.
Really Morrisons, if I was click and collecting frozen food would you leave it out to defrost. Chilled meats, milk on a hot day.Not sure if Environmental Health - Food Standards would agree with you.
2.Morrisons told me that I should've called Customer Services if my food hadn't been bought out to me, whilst waiting in my car. Why would I call customer services when I'm outside the shop, most people would go into the shop and ask what's happened. I don't have all day to sit on the phone to go through the options, press 1 for this and 2 for that, especially when my food is out of the fridge getting warm.
Anyway, Morrsons said I paid 50p for my click and collect order so as a good will gesture they will give me £2 Cheers!!
I think I'll stick with my original food store from now on. Better customer service but most importantly I recieve my click and collect order without any issues, my food is also kept chilled without me asking.”
“I used to shop at Morrisons because you could get quality food for good prices but prices have gone through the roof on basic food stuff and things like ready meals. I’m going back to Sainsburys because the price is the same.”
“VERY POOR WOULDNT USE AGAIN DISAPOINTED WITH GROCERIES RECIEVED MISSING ITEMS AND MOST ITEMS WET MOIST WHY IS THIS RANG IN 3 TIMES ITS A SHOPPING ORDER NOT AN MI5 OPERATION TOLD WOULD BE INVESTIGATION INTO THIS ITEMS WAS ALSO DAMAGE HAD TO MESS WITH TAKING PICTURES OF ITEMS ITEMS BROKEN I BAG CONTAMINATED OTHER ITEMS WHAT AN INSULT TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICES VERY POOR EASIER TO GO LIDLE OR ALDI IN TOWN AT LEAST YOU GET BETTER PRICES AND NICE WORKING CLASS STAFF LIKE THE REST OF US THIS MORRISON QUALITY IS VERY POOR ALL ROUND WOULD NOT RECCOMED USE ONE OF THE OTHERS YOUD BE BETTER OFF OR IF PROBLEMS WAIT TILL YOU HAVE TO CONTACT THEM . STAFF SEEM TRAINED TO BE THIS WAY IT SEEMS TO ME ROBOT AI TYPE O. DISAPOINTMENT AND UNDERVALUED .. SEEMS TO ME ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY . THEY DONT LET IT GO SAYS IT ALL TO ME .”
“Horrifying. Groceries should have been left outside my door, as previously and as promised. Instead, the man hammered relentlessly and shouted my forename for 15 minutes. I’m terminally ill, can’t get to the door and had a panic attack. Diabolical.”
“After 5 years of choosing NOT to shop at Morrisons I made the mistake of shopping there on 8/3/2026. I was annoyingly disappointed to find that they are still Scamming customers with their 'Offers'. They display offers at a lower price but charge FULL price at the checkout. SO DO MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE. If you do not and return later with your receipt to query this you will be met by, in my experience, an obnoxious rude member of staff who told me they cannot refund the difference unless you bring the product back with your receipt. In my case my overcharge was on Frozen products which I was not prepared to remove from my freezer to return them, as I live 12miles away from my nearest Morrisons store! It is precisely for the reason above that I stopped shopping with them Five years ago. They continually overcharged on 'Offers' and after Five years I had shopped there again and forgotten to check my receipt. So ironically in a nut shell I PAID THE PRICE!! NO CHANGE THERE THAN MORRISONS.....SHAME ON YOU.”
“Morrisons are not doing themselves any favours with their policy of THEY choose a substitute whether you want it or not. They say that if it is not acceptable then give it back to the driver and the customer will be refunded - what?! Extra work for me to track everything including the refund. I have contacted Morrisons again and again to give customers the substitute OPTION that every other supermarket gives. It's not funny either when the delivery turns up and time and time again Morrisons don't have a percentage of what is ordered, so one left with a load of substitutes. If I was actually in the shop and they didn't have what I wanted I would leave it. You need to do something about this Morrisons, I am not the only one who feels this way, the majority do, so I don't know why you continue this absolutely ridiculous stance.”
“Absolute robbery!!!!! Cheaper brands taken off the shelves, bowing down to expensive brand's....prices skyrocketed over the last 6 months... won't shop in any morrisons again! 0 stars.”
“So so so so disappointed with Morrisons for changing their own branded sanitary towels. The old product was cheap light weight perfect. Then you change them, horrible, thick, really not nice. Hugely disappointed please change them back!!!!”
“You far from deserve this one star! Why do you falsy allege to give a voucher when enough points have accumulated? This is untrue,I have the receipts to prove this, I have contacted you by post a number of times only to be completely ignored. You are quick enough take my money!!! You seem to forget that home bargains,Tesco,Iceland warehouse ,B&M and soon to be Lidl are all in the vicinity of Etruria/Hanley this is exactly why I avoid Morrisons because of your lax ignorant poor conduct and it's not the storesat fault it's Yourselves and also the dispensers that issue vouchers when people stupidly spend their money in good faith with you.”
“Blackburn 3 Dec 2025- both lifts broken, travellators broken, only access into store from level 2 down a spiral staircase. How are elderly and disabled customers supposed to manage? Shocking situation.”
“Morrisons Chester
The store is understaffed- about 8 serviced tills but frequently only two operatives- hence 3 or 4 people queuing with full trolleys. about 20 self service scan stations with 1 person running around trying to fix problems- now they have replaced most of the self service points with more stations which are not able to deals with shopping trolleys.
Aisles and spaces filled with cheap 'opportunity buys' - cheap junk that gets rummaged through like a jumble sale and left in a mess.
Stock piled up on in front of shelves and end of aisles on pallets as if the warehouse has run out of room.
Stock on the shelves jumbled and unsorted.
Frozen food shelves with stock just thrown in.
Many items regularly out of stock.
Aisles cluttered with stock trolleys and flattened carton trolleys.
1 person on the desk to deal with customer issues who also had to deal with meal deal buys, newspapers, assorted vape/nicotine buys. as. well as the many lottery ticket cards/buys/queries.
Does the company reply to this. I would be interested in their response.
The only thing going for the place is the location.
However, I will be driving to a cheaper more organized place in future.
Pity the rating doesnt allow zero stars.
Morrisons does not give opportunity to give feedback/review info.
If I visit again I will take photos of the mess and post these.”
“Online order , cancelled with no reason given, , ( it's my friend who has a 4 year old ), she had no other money to buy food, and lives rural, still no refund of £130, and she had to ask for credit in her local shop, now on day 9, oh and don't issue refunds on missing items or substitute item, fraud squad should be looking at morrisons”
“Grrrr
Yes, one more about the Dover store. Today half of the freezers out of action and strong suspicions that thawed out food being refrozen. No wonder the close by Farmfoods is now so busy. Oh, and cheaper too. What a dreadful place Morrisons has become.”
“Once again I have had to complain about Morrisons (Scarborough). This time charging me for three of a item when I only had two. Reading back through other reviews I have had all the same issues as others in the last six months items paid for setting off the alarm, more card discount not applied ect. Sort yourself out Morrisons.”
“Needing to take more care with tags on items - was stopped coming out of Perth branch this afternoon by security after triggering an alarm with my shopping. I asked to speak to a manager about compensating me for the embarrassment - nothing offered - it was made out to be no big deal but it was to me!”
“So frustrated with the More Card transparency. I can not work out what discounts have been applied and I forever think that some don't get applied despite being advertised. I am also autistic and I can't bear to have to work it out (which I believe it would be impossible anyway) my correct discounts while in the shop. And it's too far to drive back to the shop to query the bill. ZERO MARKS FOR THR MORE CARD SYSTEM FOR THE NEURODIVRRGENT AND DISABLED PEOPLE. I'd love for the customer services to contact me about this.”
“Each time i visit the St Helens Boundary rd store I am met with lovely, friendly, helpful staff. The 1 star rating is because of the uncomfortable scowling i got from the small bald Asian security guard while i was eating. He seems to have SMALL MAN SYNDROME or Inferiority complex. This seems to happen quite regular. I do not know what his problem is, a grudge, jealousy perhaps because i am a 6ft 5" muscular well built white male. He is in the wrong job. You do not treat customers like this. The other guards do not have a problem just this little one. I used to work in security and I know how you should treat the public and its not with looks of contempt. He needs to be retrained. I could always ask him to get in my nephews boxing gym if he wants. Its just not normal behaviour. Quite weird really. He has got a problem that needs addressing.”
