Sold my 5D MKiii along with other Canon kit back in November. Upon arrival with MBP they advised me that the camera had been damaged in transit and they needed to speak to DHL first. 2 months later after server chasing calls they finally agreed to pay the original quote. Great I thought but there was something missing! One of the items hadn't been priced by them and have been advised that it never arrived with them. What an armature bunch this lot are. Apparently they store everything in a warehouse until the items are paid for by them. I can only assume the item was stolen or misplaced and they don't have the decency to come clean. To sum up on this i'd never buy or sell to MPB again!

Never a problem until this transaction. Traded for a camera, they sent email to complete the sale on Tuesday morning. I paid promptly, within 30 minutes of receiving the email, which inlcuded 2-day FedEx so it would be here before the weekend. It did not ship tuesday OR wednesday. In an email with their "customer service" rep KARA wednesday evening, i was promised a refund of my shipping fees and told that it would be sent out thursday via overnight shipping - so that i would have it by the weekend. I needed it for an event on saturday evening. None of this happened and i never received replies to emails that i sent - after the original. It was actually sent on thursday but by express saver FedEx with scheduled delivery on tuesday of the next week. Slower and cheaper than i paid for and they promised. I was fed lies and emails ignored. They have really dropped the ball here and sacrificed my business event on the weekend. After this - i can not recommend MPB to friends and colleagues !!

Ive used mpb multiple times with a decent experience. I recently sent in my Nikon 70-200 for a trade and they said the autofocus motor was damaged even though I had used that lens daily so I know it was working fine. I asked what they meant by that and zero response. Ive emailed two more times and its been 6 days now with nothing. I would like my lens back and the 5 minutes it would take you to respond to my email and ship it back would be a lot better than having me sit for 6 days not getting back to me. THANKS MPB

So many issues with mpb, have happened over 5 weeks ago. Lens not delivered and wrong lens sent. Sent the incorrect lens back and have heard nothing but excuses to get my money back which is over £1000. Alot of money especially at christmas time. I have emailed over 30 times without a response. Been on live chat every day and noone responds. I get a email saying we will resolve this by 5pm and what a surprise nothing. I have now had to report this to the police and trading standards. Also opened a dispute with my bank. Its absolutely disgusting and the customer service is appauling. How do these people sleep at night!!!! Not something I want to be dealing with at Christmas time. I am now writing all over social media to try and get a response. A robbing company! DO NOT USE

Untrustworthy Charlatans. They are no better than a grubby back street pawn brokers run by a money hungry fagin MPB will buy an item and downgrade the item quality as good then resale the same item as excellent at a very inflated price. From performing some basic maths there average mark up is 44% on every item. Therefore to confirm for every item sold they have marked the price up by 44%!!!!!!

After receiving my gear and agreeing to a trade for one of their lens at a cost of just over $800 they informed me that that particular lens was inadvertently sold and the next lens of that type was priced at $1200. Not happy but I went and paid out an additional $400 for a better condition lens. Later the same night I notice the previous $800 lens is now listed for $939. They backed out of an agreement with me and used the bait and switch bs while also keeping the previously sold to me lens and raising the price by more than $100. Stay away, their being based where they are should say everything about how they do business.

Ridiculous service. They don't bother to send an email to customer if they have a question. That your delivery address and address where card is registered makes them not to send an email to you. When payment is verified by VISA there cannot be any misuse of the card. In result we needed new camera to this weekend special event which we aren't now getting. Very dissapointed to this service and that will result me spending now double of the money in local shop to be able to get some pictures from this bank holiday weekend trip. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND LAZY SERVICE. DOESN'T TAKE A LOT TO SEND EMAIL IF THERE IS A DOUBT. ARE THEY EVEN ALLOWED TO ASK REASON WHY DELIVERY ADDRESS AND BILLING ADDRESS ARE NOT SAME. THIS IS PRIVATE MATTER THAT ONLINE SHOP SHOULD NOT ASK!!!?

I received a faulty camera from MPB " sometimes that can't be helped ( I purchase on behalf of camera clubs so we buy a lot of cameras) I needed just a replacement so I messaged them and asked for a quick exchange a week later and I had to get PayPal involved this is my reply to them : Thank you for your message you say in your message" I'm very sorry that my colleague was unable to reserve you a replacement in time. I am curious to know exactly how much time would she need to reserve this item, would she reserve this item when I indicated that I would require a replacement for my customer ( that was three days ago ) or would she reserve this Canon 50D when she asked me to choose which one to exchange it with (that was 2 days ago) the answer is neither she was not going to reserve me this item within any time span, and this is the reason why I stated that your returns procedure is Dire and deliberately so your entire ethos is to make sure you don't lose a penny piece within your atrocious returns process " at any cost to your customer your process of patronizing placating messages have profit and not customer service at its core and its this reason why I will complain to your head office and give your company the review it deserves on trustpilot and google

Ordered a Canon 24-105f4L Which arrived and was faulty, the AF didn’t work, that went back and I had another lens recommended by them, this arrived and was damaged the front lens element had a deep gouge in it. I contacted them and received an email from Nick Heard which I responded to but received no reply, rang them yet again and was offered a third lens,I declined and asked for a refund, MPB have had the second lens back and I am still waiting for a refund, have left them messages as there is no reply to the phone. Luckily I used PayPal so I am going to have to open a dispute against MPB. I would never use them again they used to be good but now are awful. Use them at your own peril.

Stay Away! I sent them two lenses they were going to buy. They lowballed the quote, but I wanted to sell them quickly so I can upgrade. I sent both lenses through a Fed Ex shipping center in the same package. MPB says they received one lens and did not receive the other lens. They have stated it would take two days for an internal investigation. I have called several times and left several messages with no responses. After calling and complaining to an associate I received a phone call from a manager. She stated they had to start an internal investigation again. So they have not even looked at the file. I asked them to send back the lens they are saying they received. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We are now going on ten days, and I have not received any solution to them losing my lens.

we sent a camera and lens to them for selling they offered us 900. once they checked it out they said 600. we asked them to send it back and we checked what they said was wrong. they are complete liars. there was no scratches on body or lens, the areas they talked about even had protective covers like they did from day one. Absolute con men.

Bought a Canon 5D camera from them, which was advertised as having a clean sensor. A month later, when using the camera at low aperture of F11 I realised the sensor was extremely dirty (it's not noticeable at f1.8. I had put a brand new 50mm lens on the camera from day 1 and it was never removed, so it's not as if I had been swapping the lens frequently. I told mpb about the dirty sensor and they just fobbed me off and said I had 4 weeks to complain and that time had lapsed. They wouldn't even consider cleaning the sensor for me as a gesture of good will. I won't be buying from them again.

MPB sent me a message saying I was not at home when delivery was attempted - while I was standing by the door waiting for the delivery, having waited in all day for a non-delivery. Unfortunately, MPB use dpd as couriers, and after this Kafkaesque experience, dpd also sent me a photo of an entirely different property as spurious 'proof' that they had attempted delivery of a camera. Order cancelled, but MPB have now taken payment for this non-delivery, and the long wait for a refund has begun. I have nothing to show for this, apart from a couple of largely wasted days. Helpful support staff, but I'd never use MPB again - they seem aware of dpd's dismal reputation in some areas, but still use them.
