ok now i remember why i stoped using these sly organisation... so I made an order for one week meals, which are very average tasting, and a week later I get an email that another one is on the way and i will be charged. at no pint did I subscribe!! BE AWARE!

We do advertise this would be a 2 weekly recurring order on the deal page and also included this in the confirmation emails. We do also advise this can be removed from your basket at any time for this to be cancelled. Despite poor reviews, I decided to place an order with Musclefood, as a good deal was offered. I opted for Saturday delivery and waited in for the courier. At the time delivery was due, I looked at the tracking details, which stated that the delivery had been refused at the door due to damage. No delivery had been attempted, let alone refused. Musclefood offered no explanation but said they would re-arrange delivery. Having agreed to this, I then received an email stating goods were now out of stock and a refund would be arranged. I await the refund. So all in all, my first (and last) order with Musclefood was a complete shambles.

I was initially happy with the service the meals were very good despite some bad reviews but opted out of the subscription although it appeared to have opted me in without me agreeing to it. Then I have been charged £4 for some reason I have no idea why when I have not made an order. I will be taking this up with my bank. I was going to continue to order but after this fiasco I will not.

I purchased a bundle box of chicken and steak, as it was a lot cheaper than the supermarket. I didn't receive my order and repeated attempts to resolve any issues were met with silence, which is a shame as I had been hoping to be a recurring customer due to the huge saving... Regardless, I simply can't recommend this company and would actively advise people against using them. I placed the order on the 19/02 for delivery on the 22/02. My order was placed on hold for fraud. Muscle food advised me they contacted me on the 23/02 to advise it was placed on hold by their fraud check and an email was sent to me to provide more information in order to release my order - NOT ONLY was I not sent an email (I've searched my junk folder as well...) but even if I had of been this 'email' would still have been sent late as it was supposedly sent a day after my nominated delivery day - to add, I had waited in all day on the 22/02 as a result for no reason! I have repeatedly requested the company sends me proof an email was sent on the 23rd and so that I can resolve the order and just keep being advised the email was sent, no proof or indication where this email was sent to or what information I can provide to resolve. Response from their customer service team is slow and sporadic, I received a response to my Trustpilot review immediately advising me to email with the prefix 'FAO Becka' this has been equally useless and replies are still slow if at all. I've ended up opening a case via PayPal as I am worried to the extent this clearly untrustworthy company is messing me around.

It's been 2 weeks since I complained about an order where the food had all spilt out out of the box. Although I have received an e-mail saying I would get compensation, it has all gone quiet and my chaser e-mails have fallen on deaf ears. I have since cancelled my recurring orders. There's no way I'm giving them any more money if they are going to send me damaged products and not compensate.

I bought the Super Money Saving Bundle for £79.99 and received 2 items damaged in transit. Support has offered to give me a £10 discount code towards a next purchase which I've refused. I've asked for a refund for the damaged items and I haven't heard back from them since Weds last week. You can't call support and they are taking so long to reply to the emails. My order was placed 14 days ago and I'm still left with 2 damaged items and no resolution. I will never order from them again and I'm considering disputing the transaction with my bank as clearly they are ignoring me. AVOID!!!

Opened package and juices and thawed water was all over the meals and in the bottom of the bag , you can’t contact them over the phone and when you do by email they never reply

I was very pleased with this company, ordered food with them more than once it was all fine,and last week I’ve ordered small chicken breasts and steaks,received steaks and flapjacks.. immediately sent email to them,it’s been now 4 days- still no reply, comment my boyfriend left on their Facebook page was deleted after he asked why they ignoring his messages? Costumer service is just horrible,and it makes me angry that I’ve paid for something and there’s no one I can talk about this issue,i did let them know,so did my boyfriend and they still choose to ignore us.

I cancelled after the trial but they continued to take money from my account. Only method of contact was email- which they never respond. AVOID

Got to be some think wrong with this site my card won't go threw said its scam food bad so after reading reviews I'm so glad I'm glad I used my credit card if I had used my debit card they would of got my money plus I'm insuranced

I used musclefood again after a bad experience a few years ago with them due to friends saying there service had improved...turns out it’s hasn’t. Items missing in the order I placed... chicken smelled as if it was off. I contacted customer service who gave an insulting terms and conditions voucher to the value of no where near my Missing and waster food. I wanted to start using again but I’ll stick with my local butcher

If you want damaged food and missing items from your order that they then refuse to refund then brilliant, order from here! They offered me a £10 credit (with terms and conditions on it), for my £18.00 of missing and damaged goods, you do the maths! Their customer service email is enough to send any calm person insane, just sending the same copy and paste answer every time. Absolutely shocking! Still no refund to date.

Terrible, criminal and fraudulent! This company has just charged me for an order that I did not order and money has been taken from my card! Shame on you! I ordered my first order on the 3rd Jan and threw the whole lot away as it all needed microwaving and that's something I choose to avoid. Now I just received a knock on the door and a delivery man attempts to give me a box of 'musclefood' I did not order and having checked my card statement I can also see they have fraudulently taken money from my account without authorisation from me! Avoid this company!

I don't normally leave bad reviews, but the customer service has been appalling. Money taken, goods not received, all bar 1 email ignored. I have communicated time and again asking where my goods are or refund, however, they just ignore you and you get neither. Very quick to take the money though.... I would avoid them if I were you, I personally will never purchase from them again, they have no consideration at all for failing to provide the customer with what they have already paid for, nor interested in rectifying their error. Stay clear!!!

When I placed an order I made sure that I did not sign up for a subscription but despite this they have charge my card £4. I will be in contact with my bank to claw this back if they do not refund it. Avoid this company they are not honest.

I signed up for a subscription that wasn’t clear on the web page and they have subsequently being taking money from my account. A number of people at my gym have had the same problem. It seems very underhand and dishonest for the sake of a few pounds muscle food have lost the trust of a lot of people. No one at my gym will now be using them.

Avoid for safety reasons I ordered for the first time and unfortunately it will be my last. Food packaging was extremely poor and the outer packaging had been opened. Will be sending all meats to the bin as the packaging has been tampered with and meats could have gone off. Great concept but poor attention to detail and safety with packing process and no telephone number to call to discuss. Takes them 72 working hours to reply to and issues or complaints. Think twice before ordering with Musclefood.
