“I just wish the tags were a little bigger so that the lettering wasn't so crammed together. Maybe about 1/4 inch wider.. The length is fine but they need to be made wider so that there's a little more room between the lines. It's hard to read them. Other than that, they're fine.”

Hi Richard, thanks for your feedback. Our tags meet military specifications for dimensions, thickness, and character size and spacing. That said, we do offer larger dogtags, and also a larger font size. Please let us know what you would like changed on your tags and we can remake them.

“Arrived on time. Both sets were done perfectly. Accurate and plain to see. Fairly deep embossing. I was surprised that, unlike my older, original dog tags, the notches were missing from the bottom of each tag. So, these tags are not truly "Old Corps" without the notches, but that is minor point. I'm not sure when the Corps opted to quite producing them without the notches.; Overall....I couldn't be more pleased with them. Will definitely refer you to my fellow vets at the Legion and VFW.”

Hi Richard, Thanks for your feedback and your military service. We do indeed sell WWII/Vietnam era dogtags with notches. The notched tags were replaced in the lates 60s with notchless tags. Please email us so we can recreate your notched original tags.

“This my second set from MyDogTag, due to info changes. I wear them everyday for identification & important medical information. I am an avid hiker, snowshoer & Volunteer Forest Service Wilderness Ranger & I prefer to be identifiable if I'm found in the middle of knowwhere. I also keep my Wilderness emergency whistle on the chain for easy access. The tags are tough & good quality Any time my important info changes, I'll get another set.”

Hi James, Thanks for your feedback. As you correctly pointed out (and as stated on our website) our replica WWII USN/USMC tags are made with modern stainless steel and are laser engraved rather than stamped to facilitate automated production. As far as we know we are the only manufacturer of replica WWII USN/USMC tags.

“I cannot begin to describe how fantastic it is to now have an authentic duplicate of the dog tags that I was issued in Boot Camp, pre-use of Social Security Numbers for Service Numbers and in the same format as the Navy issued them then! I had sadly lost my original set because for some years after my career I was not wearing them. (I had moved a few times so there was no hope of them turning up!) Some months back, I got the idea of searching the Internet to investigate if there were any companies that made old-style dog tags. It took a bit of "digging", so to speak, for your company to turn up in my search, and, per your description, it was, by far, the best: exactly what I was looking for. Moreover, when I was unsure about the possibility of having my Service Number embossed on them (instead of my Social Security Number since I enlisted prior to SSN use) I got a very prompt reply from Matt not only in the affirmative but how to do that! That was great!”
