“Generally pretty good. Easy, quick recipes. Kids like most of the meals. We would like an option to be able to use less rice, pasta etc. We never use the suggested amount so have a lot spare which seems wasteful.”

“My family enthusiastically eat 1 or 2 meals each week, and enjoy most of the others. Love the protein quality, though it’s a bit annoying when chicken is best before the Wednesday, limiting my flexibility to swap meal days around.”

“I love knowing the following... * the dinners we eat are chosen with the YUM factor AND nutrition in mind * there are loads of variety, exposing our family to meals and tastes from around the world that we have previously shied away from as it seemed too difficult. * such easy to follow recipes with the approx time it's going to take to have it all ready. * I don't have to make the decision of what to have for dinner!! * Kids are learning cooking skills The only reason I have to give a good rating - I live in a semi rural area so I can't get Bargain Box delivered to my house and have to drive 4km to the edge of town to pick up my box from a relatives house each Sunday afternoon. If you can figure out how to deliver to my place each week, I'll give you a VERY GOOD rating. :-)”

“Really enjoyed my latest FoodBag (classic) Only suggestion for improvement would be to offer an option between the classic and the vegetarian with fewer meat-based recipes. Eating 4 meat-based dinners a week feels too much for me. Perhaps 2-3 meat based and 1-2 vegetarian.”

“Bargain Box is pretty spot on with the meal sizes. I feel like that meals that don't have rice or pasta need a bit more to them though. I have had a few weeks of bad experience with bargain box this year, but it was resolved and haven't had any issues lately. I love the extras we sometimes get included in our box.”

“love the convenience off bargain box and the meals are pretty hearty. as my kids get older it prob wont feed us all well some will and some wont esp meat wise. we get the mega six we have 7 in our family 5 children youngest being 3 oldest 13 and 2 adults sometimes we are scratching the bottom off the pan to feed the last person other times we got that much left over we can feed a extra person that night. i love the little extras that are sometimes snuck in.”

“Previously I subscribed to the veggie food bag, but cancelled as there was too much dairy and it was being thrown away. But with the introduction of the plant-based food bag, decided to resubscribe. It has been overall, quite tasty. Only two issues; one, the portion sizes are quite small and two, it really lacks a solid protein replacement. Out of eight meals, tofu has been used only once. There are so many plant-based meat alternatives to choose from, it shouldn’t be difficult to provide one. Based on that, it works out quite expensive when it’s just primarily vegetables.”

“Food bag meals ingredients variety and taste is great. We love in in our house, 4 flatmates sharing for 5 nights. Have had some issues with delivery and missing ingredients but other than fantastic.”

“So easy to prepare and dont have to think about what to cook after a long day at work. Produce and meat is always fresh and good quality. Kids love the recipes and even help cook! Love the additional recipes and treats that come in the box some weeks, always a nice surprise.”

“The delivery is always within the timeline specified which is impressive. I have got into the habit now of checking off the ingredients received to the list provide to ensure I have received everything I should. There has been Occassion to ring the customer service line when items have either been damaged or left out. The response to these inquiries are efficient and always solution based which is very proactive. The receipts are easy to follow, and I like the fact that the receipt sheets are water proof and you can wipe these down. The ingredients are always of excellent quality and fresher thank in supermarkets. I like the fact that we are no longer wasting food with the portions generous and leftovers fought over for lunch the following day. On occasion we have found the spices included are not enough for our palate, but this is personal preference.”
