“We are very happy with the selection, the quality of meat and vegetables, the instructions and packing and delivery. I have been preparing meals together with planning, shopping, packing away and then cooking for many , many years. This Bargin box really gives me relief from all of the above and now My husband joins in with the preparation. Sometimes, there is enough left over for lunch.”

“We love the variety of meals offered, it’s nice to affordably eat a range of different meats within a week. Other meal subscriptions have had variety but not a huge range of spices so things often ended up tasting the same. Would be 5 stars but sometimes the meat isn’t the best quality and removing all the fatty parts can really reduce the portion size. When the meat is pre cut it’s often done pretty badly/unevenly which leads to uneven cooking which is annoying but I guess it is bargain box so you might get better quality getting the more expensive boxes”

“The meals are enjoyable and ingredients fresh. It is rather expensive for what you receive but the convenience is often worth the extra cost for us.”

“I started getting My Food Bag as a treat when mother in law came to visit. Now I'm hooked. Some nights I'm not so keen on the fuss and I simplify (boiled potatoes instead of baked and herbed for example).”

“I've enjoyed the experience of Bargain Box. As someone with no spatial ability, I've found the physical box and it's packaging, the way it fits together very clever! I like that most of the meals use familiar ingredients, but have introduced me to new sauces and spices. Also to vegetables I never think to buy, such as endamame beans and radishes. So far, I've had more successes than failures - generally the meal turns out and the family likes it. I am in a better rhythm now of checking ahead to see the weekly meals and decide if I will order them or skip that week. I have been pleased to have discovered some new recipes and to know there's no missing ingredients when I come to cook them.”

“We have had My Food Bag in the past but cancelled it as it felt like the meals were becoming quite similar. We started up with My Food Bag again this year and have been blown away with how good it is this time round. We currently do the Protein bag 5 nights a week for 4 people. Every single meal we have had is absolutely delicious and so simple to make. Love it!”

“We love using My Food Bag. It takes the stress out of figuring out what to do for dinner each night. Being able to choose the recipes from a selection means that I know the meals will be right for my family. All of the food is fresh and quality, and some weeks a wee bonus gets thrown in! We love how easy the recipes are to follow and the variety of flavours and choices.”

“We have been getting Bargin Box for a few weeks now, and it has made everything so much easier. My partner can get home from work and knows exactly what we are having and follow the simple recipes to create great meals. I love the different meals and variety, much better than it used to be!”

“Recipes are nice and easy to make and taste really good too. It's not exactly a bargain as it is cheaper to shop yourself but I'm enjoying not having to think and shop for meals each week. Still trialing this and will decide if it's worth it after a few months”

“Over all quite happy with bargain box. Would like to be able to choose which day the payment is made but understand with ordering and whatnot. Would like it if the recipes were not placed down the side of the cold box as they keep getting wet which is pretty annoying.”

“Generally speaking the boxes are very good value. We have, unfortunately, had a few ingredients turn up not very fresh and we haven’t been able to use them”
