“We really enjoy getting the bargain box each week. It means we always have fresh food and don’t have to plan meals for the week coming. Plus we order extra meals to have enough for lunch that next day too because the meals are so good why would we eat them only once!”

“Yes, what I order now, works well for me. The only meal I did not enjoy was the coleslaw, In lettuce cups. Firstly the lettuce should be the old fashioned Iceberg lettuce, coleslaw was dry. As this review is still here, I will add to it. This week, I did not receive the receipe, for the ingredients,which include, mince sliced carrots.”

“My husband and I are absolutely blown away with Bargain Box and the ease that it has created for the two of us. He cooks dinner often, and does this while enjoying a beer and a chat. “The 2 person box is excellent value as i usually get 3 meals from each portion, and if I have some extra vegetables can often stretch to 4 meals. Love the variety of the Asian inspired recipes.”

“Most of the product is top quality and we really enjoy this however the veggies over the past few weeks have been soft and go off before we can consume them. The herbs are almost always off. Avocado is always over ripe and rock hard. We are still hoping that a 6 person plant based option will become available. We would really like a strict vegan option one day!”

“We have really enjoyed the variety and quality of meals and we are happy with the current price/value for money. The deliveries have usually been correct but in the last couple boxes we have noticed irregularities. Once we have had a completely different meal than what was ordered and have been missing spice packs from multiple boxes and tortillas from a taco recipe. We, unfortunately, noticed too late each time and have just substituted what we had as it was easiest. Once, our delivery was delivered to the wrong street but customer service was prompt in replacing the box the next day (as there were no runners in the area to retrieve the correct box). We are generally happy with the service and will continue ordering as long as it is a convenient choice for us.”

“My Food Bag is by far the best subscription service in NZ. Food is always fresh, arrives on time and we don't have to deal with last minute substitutions or missing ingredients. Our household would highly recommend this service. The only thing needs to be improved is the 'customer love' team - Fortunately, our interactions with them have been infrequent, but on the two occasions we've reached out, we found their demeanor to be less than courteous, unhelpful, and simply unpleasant”

“We are very pleased with most of the ingredients and menus, especially the curries. Sadly, the potatoes seem to have a blight which means they have to be peeled more than usual, otherwise we are very happy with My Food Bag.”
