“I am a complete rookie when it comes to cooking and as someone living on my own it’s hard to be creative and not eat the same meals on rotation. My Bargain Box has given me lots of simple recipes that include a variety of proteins and veggies I wouldn’t usually cook with. My energy levels have improved and I think these nutritious meals are a big part of it. Also love how fresh and local the ingredients are. I buy the meals for 2 people, which means I get leftovers for lunches - works really well, although some meals are definitely better eaten when cooked. Overall, love my Bargain Boxes!”

“I am rating bargain box. Prices keep increasing. Quality of fresh ingredients is declining, amounts are decreasing and we are expected to provide more and more out of our cupboards for 'staples'.”

“Great variety, flavours and volume. Good value for money. Previously no incentive to be a weekly subscriber as offers are only for those not subscribed? Moved to fortnightly and now we can get the offers. Would be nice to have more rewards for regular subscribers?”

“LOVE my food bag. The products are fresh and excellent quality, recipes are delicious and easy to follow, and I LIKE the fact that you have to do some prep (cut up the veges etc) yourself - its relaxing for me to do. The portion sizes are generous, I always have leftovers for lunch and can pad the meals out easily to allow for extra people if needed. There is quite a bit of packaging, but they do really try to make it compostable or recyclable. My Food Bag also has a great variety of recipes - I haven’t gotten bored yet. Had tried some of the other food bags out there but the products weren’t great quality, recipes tasted the same, and the packaging was intense. Overall for me this is the best food bag around.”

“We are two semi-retired professionals and were spending way too much on food, only to then throw out a lot of waste. My daughter suggested trying bargain box - it has changed our life! No waste, and a definite cost saving! In addition, you could not make the variety of flavours doing all the work yourself - well definitely not for two people. The portions are healthy, plentiful, but great for weight management as we are not over-eating. We would never go back to our old ways. Thank you Bargain Box.”
