“The family are very much enjoying the ease of having the food and recipes delivered - especially as I have a couple of 11 year olds who are learning to make dinners too. The recipes are easy to follow and the food deliciously fresh. The app is also super simple to use.”

“Meals great however the instructions are very vague and at times confusing to follow. It says use vinegar however what type of vinegar?? Malt, rice, white etc have photos along side the ingredients would help as well as each step”

“I am appreciating not having to worry about evening meals, 3 nights of the week. We are both in our 80’s and I struggle with providing variation, under normal circumstances, however, we enjoy the variation of the different meals we have chosen. I have found it easy, to forward plan and stop delivery for the week when we know our circumstances will change.”

“We have enjoyed the meals from Bargain Box and they have been excellent value and saved us considerable time and cost. Most recipes are easy to follow if you give yourself time. Sometimes the quantities have been more than would normally eat but overall we recommend them.”

“I love not having the hassle of thinking about what to cook (and shop for) and the meals are really easy and simple. There is a bit much repetition or very similar meals but probably no more than we would repeat things from our own cooking plan.”

“Bargain box works well for our family. We generally order it fortnightly, at times upgrade to options with bigger portions or extra items. At times we rearrange the recipe to suit us on the day...e.g use the ingredients to make something else instead.”

“Using My Food Bag is working out well, we have a family, run a business and one of us works in employment, and having our meal options set out with all the ingredients saves us time not only in the cooking but also deciding what to eat. We often miss the deadline to choose our meals and would really appreciate a text & email reminder to choose the meals before the Sunday night deadline.”

“The recipes are easy to follow and very tasty overall. Always arrives on time and no missing ingredients so far My only issue is I wish that my food back would collect the boxes the food arrives in and reuse them”

“Been loving bargain box! The ingredients are fresh and great quality. Some recipes I find a bit plain but can easily add extra flavour/condiment to suit us. Great to have every 2nd week so we can use up ingredients if needed the following week. Would love if seasoning packets came in the size required for the recipe as end to with a lot of leftover and they tend to solidify in when even clipped closed in cupboard.”

“We love the ease and different meal options available. Delivery is great and I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. I have two things that I am not happy about though. One is to do with the chicken meat we receive in our delivery on Mondays where it either has to be eaten that day or the next before it runs out of time. This means that we have to check it and put it straight in the freezer to be able to have the chicken meal later in the week. The other is around the potatoes we receive - we usually receive 800gm as required in the recipe but end up losing almost 300gm plus due to blemishes and grey spots etc. We also sometimes receive different spices than is required in the recipe. Other than those issues we really enjoy the meals and ease”

“Sometimes have trouble choosing recipes due to nut and coconut allergy and my partner doesn't eat bulgar or couscous. Had some issues for the past few weeks not receiving all of the ingredients. Would like more fish options. The recipes are easy to follow and occasionally I'm blown away by the dish. But usually quite average. Love not going to the grocery store as often with our busy lifestyle.”

“Despite a couple of hiccups along the way with the odd missing item and one occasion when the meals we had ordered weren't the meals that were delivered, we've been impressed with the quality and freshness of ingredients. So far, and we're only a couple of months in, there has been a good variety and choice of meals and the service from the team has been prompt when contacted.”
