“I ordered a set of show plates that I have done several times.the procedure was to order standard plates then phone up to make the amendments. The last time I did this I was told the procedure had changed even though I phoned as soon as I had placed the order they wouldn't amend it over the phone so it cost me double to reorder I suggest you show more clearly how you order show plates if you do not want it doing standard Best regards debbie”

“My Order Number : WMS238949 - registration details <W3 PRW> plus a lower positioned <GALLAGHERS MITSUBISHI> slogan, in addition to a MITSUBISHI MOTORS badge. The 1st set of plates arrived in July '14 but there were flaws in the plates - apart from the fact the package had been damaged in the post - with further 'tear' damage visible to the rear-coating on one of the plates. It was obvious somewhere along the postal 'chain' that someone had tried to repair the damage to the package with a clear-type tape and had placed DO NOT BEND labels on the package. I returned them at my own expense and requested that BEFORE the replacement set were sent out, the front plastic protection-films be peeled back in order to ensure there were no further problems - fully appreciating that aesthetically new plates 'look' better with the film intact, but plate quality was more important than 'nice' presentation. Sadly my request was totally ignored and the 2nd set were also damaged, with chips in the acrylic plate surface. These would have been noticed had my specific request been observed. I received no e-mail or any form of contact to apologise - or an offer to either make up another set and do as I'd asked, or to provide me with a refund. I sent an e-mail to Chris expressing my great disappointment on July 30th but received no reply. I then sent a typed letter via Recorded Delivery to the Managing Director of MY SHOWPLATES (dated 8th August) once again expressing dismay that I'd spent £47:41 (including return postage) but had nothing to show for my efforts. NO useable plates, NO apology, and NO explanation for this appalling and extremely shabby way of running a business. Because of all the above, I would NEVER recommend MY SHOWPLATES to anyone. “I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH "MY SHOW PLATES "AND WOULD ADVICE PEOPLE NOT TO USE THEM. THEY MADE UP THE FRONT AND THE BACK PLATES WITH DIFFERENT SPACING SO THEY DID NOT MATCH AND WHEN I CONTACTED THEM THEY WERE UNHELPFULL AND UNPROFFESIONAL AND WOULDNT REDO ONE PLATE SO THAT IT MATCHED BAD CUSTOMER SEVICE AVOID THIS COMPANY”

Hi Trevor, You made the plates different, The customer designs the plates online and can see a preview of the plates, I apologies if you didn't notice that you had entered different spacing. “Was not told that the plates that i ordered was not covered for an MOT. When i first went onto your website i indicated that i wanted road legal plates. I telephoned your office and was told that it did not matter where i clicked on. Very poor response from the phone call that i made and would never use your company again”

“Worst company I have ever dealt with. I tried to buy a plate and it wasn't delivered. Then when I questioned this, they took months to answer me and told me not to even advise the police. Now they are saying tough luck, it was signed for, you can't even have a refund. Steer clear at all costs! What's the bet this review doesn't make it to the website!”

Hi Jefferey, We had a signature from you accepting the plates and advise that if it wasn't you that you should call the police as this is fraud, Apologies we couldn't refund you but we did have confirmation of delivery. Mike

“No instructions as to which side to drill the holes from - laminate came away from plate upon drilling, asked for a replacement and company wouldn't even honour their "no quibble guarantee" of satisfaction. Very, very poor.”

Hi Rob, Thanks for the review, You forgot to mention that you have ordered previously and where very happy with the product and service. You ordered again and were again very happy, you then drilled your new plates from the front pushing the reflective backing off and decided you weren't happy. Sorry Rob but we declined to offer you a replacement after you had tampered with the plates, Also you threatened to take us to court and the situation got messy. We do offer a no quibble guarantee, but not when someone has drilled the plates from the front pushing the backing off and then blaming us. I take your comments on board and apologise we couldnt send you some free plates out. All the best Mike

“I ordered a motorcycle number plate stating that the wording ANDY P to be in light blue . I received the plate the letters were black after contacting yourselves all I got was someone telling me about dark blue on yellow back ground does not work as it says in our t/c it was light blue I ordered. I phoned about this twice then got told to send photos which I did I got no feedback at all about this so I phoned again nobody seemed to want to help me about this I just kept getting fobbed off I asked for a refund then I was told I had to send an e:Mail with the reason as to why I wanted a refund it was pretty simple why the plate was not the correct colour nobody was interested in my complaint at all my view of this company is that It gives a very very poor customer service at all times and I have to say I will never ever order anything else from you again I was very frustrated by the whole episode and have to say it seems like a cowboy outfit I have also put the word out on social media about how you run and do things you could not give a dam about customers and don't think you even know the meaning of customer service I have to say your company is a disgrace. Ps I even explained this plate was for my nephew who had just been killed on his motorcycle and it was important about the colours on the plate as this was to be displayed on his grave nobody has even got a heart it seems in your company. Hi Louis, Really sorry to hear about your Nephew and condolences. I am really sorry to hear you weren't happy with the colour of light blue. It is physically impossible for us to make blue on a yellow plate and it does explain this is capitals on our site. When blue is laid on a yellow reflective it appears black the same as if you mix blue and yellow, there is nothing we can do about this hence making it clear in the terms. Yes the staff would have told you the same and i appreciate your frustration but please don't think we fobbed you off, This is why we stipulate blue on yellow will be black. All i can say is please read terms and conditions and sites before ordering or just give the company a quick call. I apologies sincerely you weren't happy with this plate . All the best Mike

“The yellow backing on the plate came away once a drill bit ( brand new & sharp ) went throught the plastic. Disappointing. Only on the car until I collect the plates from Mini Ipswich, but they look poor.”

Hi Simon, I do apologies. Plates should be drilled from the back to ensure the backing isn't pushed away. I would have happily sent you a replacement but i see you are putting new plates from Mini Ipswich. Apologies and thanks for taking the time to give us feedback. All the best Mike :-)
