“I called into the Hamilton store, speaking with Wayne, later known to me as the Manager, enquiring into a specific mattress to purchase for my sister. It was upon this initial call with Wayne, that we appeared to get off on the wrong foot. After expressing concerns, and in the end things proceeded amicably, quickly and confidently. Anyway, and during the call, unbeknownst to me, my sister was in-store, testing out the mattress. She later tells me that she was met by salesperson, Gregory who she tells me was pleasant and friendly enough. I came to find this business through a general Google search. Of course, I read a plethora of reviews specific to the store and they appeared to have a good customer rating. I saw a few good quality mattresses and at extraordinary prices almost too good to be true; It was true! Prior to contacting the business, I spoke with my sister advising her a few well priced - well known mattresses. She wanted to be able to test out the mattress, before purchase, like any person. I observed online, that the business has a 365 day mattress home trial period, and that the Hamilton store had the specific one on the floor to try. I told her to go as soon as she could to try it out. She tells me that it was firm, but, could be good as it’ll likely soften. In speaking with Wayne, I advised him that my sister wanted new; however, they didn’t have new, and only had what they call, “open bag” meaning it was a previously purchased and brought back through the 365 home trial and when resold is bagged! “Open Bag” is kind of a poor selection of words. Could’ve called it “pre-loved,” “trialed.” When I asked, he couldn’t be sure how long it was trialed for, something that the business should have known operation wide. A two week vs. a month vs a few months vs a year does make a difference albeit and I did enquire further, how that affects warranty. Warranty is still 10-years from date of new owner purchase. Then, I asked if the 365 sleep trial would be applicable to the “open bag?” He told me, it would only have a 14-day trial period. This being said, It was about $60 cheaper than new hence the reason we didn’t mind the difference in paying for new; they were out of stock and didn’t know when it would be back in stock. My sister wanted the mattress quickly. After my sister agreed to the purchase, she’s the one sleeping on it, we moved forward with the purchase. Wayne when I asked, due to initial concern and one other, threw in an essential mattress cover. Next up, delivery date set-up! It was unbelievably a fast turnaround. Upon payment, there appeared to be technical difficulties with the businesses payment system as Wayne was unable to see our payment. So this, delayed delivery by a day. Delivery would’ve been the following day but not for the system glitches. Communication, isn’t their strong suit. Although Wayne followed up, there were communication issues with delivery notice and delivery expectations. After confirming the delivery date, we didn’t receive a time or how we’d be notified. I had to call the store. Wayne was off when I called and so, Gregory answered and provided answers to my questions. I asked my sister her take on delivery and this is what she said, “ Well I asked where they could park. I told them. They asked me to come down to show them. They figured it out anyway. I told them what to enter on the intercom. The guy said the wrong unit number back to me. They were taking a while to buzz so I went down to the lobby and my phone rang. Which was me being buzzed. I opened the lobby door to let them in. Others that were waiting for the elevator let them go ahead. There was no room in the elevator for me and the walker. I told them 3rd floor. They were waiting in the hallway on my floor near my unit. They seemed in a hurry and seemed like they didn’t want to wait for me to inspect both the mattress and boxspring ( writer here, I told my sister to do so, never just accept delivery without doing so). I inspected both as well as I could before I unlocked my door to let them in.” Although Wayne put in the notes, in-room set-up (I believe an additional cost that he waived but wasn’t required - still a nice gesture), my sister just asked they leave the wrapping on and her friend would set it all up as she still had her old mattress to move out. This being said, and after all has been done, here is my sisters take on the mattress, a Sealy Posturepedic 800 series 14” Plush Eurotop Mattress Double/full & the business brand 8” box spring with tax, $711 —- “Well the mattress is comfy. I have ZERO lower back pain when I wake up and the duration I’m awake. My sleep 💤 is deep and sound.” She’s had it for about a week now! I hope that she gets 15-20 years out of it. And, after all is said here, maybe she’ll get it for free!! She needs a break in life. Thank you Wayne, for conducting business with honesty, integrity and accepting constructive feedback!”

“I'd never heard of this company until I came across their website while researching mattresses online. The staff at the Mississauga (Dundas Street) store were very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. National Mattress's prices are well below the competition's (by a huge amount!) and their 365-night guarantee and super-fast delivery are virtually unheard of (I've not come across other retailers who offer either of these). I strongly suggest purchasing from National Mattress! Hopefully the company will expand beyond their current seven locations so that more Canadians can benefit from its wonderful staff and amazing prices!”

“Misleading Name, Fake Policies, Terrible Customer Service Do not trust National Mattress. They heavily market "Canada-Wide Shipping" and promise free shipping across Canada for orders over $199. However, they changed their policy overnight, added a massive $119 delivery fee to an item already sitting in my cart, and completely refused to honour their own published terms. When confronted, customer service blamed a "promotion ending," but the reality is they have quietly stopped servicing Canada nationally and now focus almost exclusively on the GTA. Their name is completely misleading to fellow Canadians looking to buy Canadian-made products. Shop elsewhere with a company that actually values honesty and customer service.”

“We had a great experience shopping at National Mattress. As soon as we entered the store, the employee warmly greeted us and gave us a tour of the showroom. They gave us plenty of time to explore the different mattresses and test them without any pressure. After trying several options, we had a few questions, and the employee patiently answered each one, helping us understand the differences and choose the mattress that best suited our needs. Their knowledge and friendly approach made the entire buying process smooth and stress-free. The delivery was also excellent. Our mattress arrived within just 2–3 days, and it was delivered safely and on time. Overall, we’re very happy with both the customer service and the quality of the experience. Highly recommend National Mattress!”

“I picked out a mattress online, then was able to drive to the store to actually try it out. Satisfied that it was the right mattress for me, I purchased it right there in the store. It was delivered to my house within 2 days. The delivery time was well-communicated, and there was no pressure to buy in the store. Overall, it was a very easy, stress-free experience. And the prices are great!”

“I had a great experience in the store. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, I never felt pressured to make a purchase. They gave me enough time and space to try different mattresses and make my own decision, which I really appreciated. The only suggestion I have is to consider offering free delivery to the room of choice (including upstairs). Other mattress stores I have purchased from included free upstairs delivery, so having that service would make the overall experience even better. I am looking forward to receiving my mattress!”

“This matress is a super firm matress and it is far beyond my expectation. High density foam firm is on another level, hard as rock, and I really mean it. I've been looking for this kind of firm matress for a very long time now. I really advice you guys to actually come to their show room and try it yourself so that you can feel the firmness.”

“Visited the Markham store and was very impressed with the large selection of mattresses. We dealt with Arnold who was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The pricing at National Mattress was very reasonable and the free shipping was an added bonus. The shipper kept us fully in the loop on the day of delivery. The only disappointment we experienced was that the delivery was missing one item. After contacting Arnold, he quickly arranged to have it delivered on the day we requested.”
