When I tried to exit the car park my ticket would not work and because it was pouring with rain I got very wet. However your staff did sort out a new ticket fairly quickly. I am afraid this was after my luggage went missing and which I finally received after a week

All in all quite a good experience (albeit with a couple of hiccups). We used the Long Stay Car Park and getting there, parking up and transfer to the terminal all went very smoothly. However, on our return (pouring down) poor signage as to where to go for transfer service. When we did find it it was a small bus shelter that held about 5 people, probably adequate for a dry day, but not at peak time when we were there we joined a queue of 20 or so people for the bus and we got soaked. Picked up our vehicle got to the barrier and the barrier refused our pre booked ticket. Had to get out (back into the rain) and go to the office where my problem was sorted out and was issued a ticket to get out. It turned out that when I pre booked this service they hadn't entered my registration number in the right place and had just entered car in the box. But, hey ho! these were minor annoyances and overall was satisfied and would use the service again.

Seemed to wait while for bus from car park in freezing and very windy conditions also had quite a wait on departure from car park due to problem with barriers and non recognised tickets

We have used the car parking facilities on numerous occasions and would be grateful if you could advice why parking areas A & B are always closed, even though they are always empty. Also on this last occasion other car parking areas were cordoned off, forcing you to use the parking areas furthest away from the airport, these cordoned off areas also had available spaces. I would point out that this is not the first time we have made these observations, however the situation never changes.

Why don't you open the longstay carparking areas nearest the terminal, that way people may walk in and not have to wait for 15min for a bus when it's cold and wet!!!

i'm glad you sent this email. I was hoping you would when I returned recently from Dubai. It was pouring with rain as I trudged past car parks A, B and D, all the way down to L. Just as they had been on my last three trips, A, B and D were all but empty, but were closed. The last time I raised this issue with you, I was told they were due to be resurfaced. As you might imagine, I don't believe that any more now than I did at the time. You guys have a fabulous airport and even if I choose to walk from L to the terminal or back, it still has most other airports I visit around the world beaten in terms of the close proximity of the parking to the terminal and the avoidance of the need to wait for the infrequent buses. But it would be a lot easier to appreciate you properly if you'd open A, B and D more regularly. Happy Christmas! David Tremayne

We always use the short term parking which is very convient However the number plate recognition system always fails and we have to contact the office with our booking reference

The parking is good and secure, however it states the bus runs from the terminal every few mins however we never seen a bus on the two occasions we needed one, when we were going on holiday and again when we returned! This was not good considering we arrived back into the uk at 9.30 pm on a very cold November evening having left sunny Tenerife and 30 degree heat earlier that day!

Booking on line and getting into car park went fine. But when i cam to leave, i had to buzz the attendant to get the barrier opened. I cannot see in the on line instructions the exact protocol that should be used for leaving the car park. Is it that you are meant to drive up to the barrier and it opens, or quite what? or is it required to buzz the operator every time? The last time i used this service, it was exactly the same.

Parking is secure, but why do you have to close all the zones close to the airport terminal, leaving only those which are "miles away" open ? Where I was parked, I didn't even see a shuttle bus let alone catch one !

Ok until we tried to get out. Supposed to be by number plate recognition. Machine does not respond to personalised number plate, at least that was what we were advised. Pity this wasn't advised when booking and paying.

Straightforward as always, booked online with discount code which brought the cost down below the cost of the return taxi fares. Only quibble is the way sections of the car park are arbitrarily closed, it is galling to arrive during the autumn / winter months and find the A and B car parks nearest the airport building closed for no apparent reason.

I have to say I was disappointed with the attitude of the airport bus driver for pick up and transfer to our car upon our return on November 14th 2015.

The price was reasonable. We hadn't used this service before, but leaving the car was easy. Returning home, we looked for the bus to take us to the car park. There was no signage to show where to catch the bus or how long we should wait for it. Staff in the airport were far and few between, and when we did ask about the bus they were unable to help. In the end we walked quite a long way on a very blustery night, in the dark, on a poorly lit path which was not well maintained in places to get to our car. we would use the service again - but would ask the driver where to wait in the future.

Not the best experience of airport parking I'm afraid. Buying the parking was easy enough and there was ample parking when I arrived early morning. When I tried to leave the barrier indicated that my parking had expired (it hadn't). I had to reverse and go back to the ticket machine which indicated that I owed £58! I pressed the help button on the machine and it took quite a while for someone to answer. Luckily I had my booking reference to hand. The help desk asked me to go to the barrier and press the help button there - this again took a while to answer and at this point the barrier opened. In all it delayed my exit by about half an hour which wasn't great as I was in a hurry. I worked out that the problem was that the auto license plate recognition thing had failed to correctly identify the last letter of my reg number on my way in - worth checking your ticket when you arrive as it is printed on there.
