Car park buses run on a basis of someday/sometime/maybe/if driver can be bothered. You will almost certainly end up walking from the long term car park to/from the terminal. On the way you will pass lots of idle buses and, if lucky, catch a glimpse of the drivers sitting inside the office drinking tea.

We arrived back about 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. It was very busy as I assume a number of flights had landed together. Unfortunately there only appeared to be one member of staff on duty in the office, when I went in to get my ticket validated I commented on how busy it was and I could hear the assistance buzzer going, she said she had not had time to answer and see what people wanted. I got back to my car and went to leave the car park to be met by what can only be described as gridlock at the barriers. For whatever reasons the barriers would not open for people who had inserted tickets, they were pressing the help button but no help was forthcoming. It must have taken 20 minutes to out through the barrier.

why is it cheaper to hire a car in Alicante for 2 weeks than to park at Newcastle airport for 2 weeks

kerbs to high. Awkward when crossing through car parks. Bays too small. Car parks poorly maintained. Shrubs overgrown. lots of litter.

On collecting my car both exit barriers were out of order. Your staff had no idea on what action to take. It took over an hour for someone to come and open one barrier. Not impressed at all with the performance and will think twice about booking again.

He then gave us a ticket to allow us to exit the car park.

I booked in advance on line at a cost of approx £44, my reg plate was not recognised so on exit a demand of Approx £98 was requested, I sorted it out through the intercom. Why such a difference is permitted Is beyond me. I can only assume it's greed In order to rip off those not in the know!

On arrival at the Car park (4.00) there was lots of transport to take us the the terminal, the bus was very busy, but a very helpful driver. Getting back to Newcastle, there was 2 arrivals at approx the same time, when we got our luggage, one of the fist off the belt? walking to the bus stop, it shot off, with only 2 heads i could see?? Rang the enquiry button, eventually answered, was told - The bus must have been full!!, after a wait of 15mins, the bus stop was full, when it arrived, he shot off like lewis hamilton!! and dove round the car park looking for his first win of the season! Everyone on the bus was thrown from side to side, suit cases flying all round the bus, passengers trying to catch them, and hold them in place.!!

Ev, charging. Entered short stay the night before, could not get a charge bay. Tried to get out to come back later and told I intended to park so I must pay. So I paid twice for parking, wanting to charge my car. Cars just left on bays too long.

The ticket wouldn't work when leaving the car park and then the telephone wasn't answered.... i then got a load of abuse from a person on the bus waiting being behind me .... not a good way to end my holiday.

Walked from the car park to the terminal. (About 1700 on a Sunday) Walked back from the terminal to the car park. (About 2300). Thankfully only a 15 minutes walk, but apart from a bus sitting near the office, it did not appear that there were any buses running. Just as well the weather was dry

I am disappointed in the signage in the car park ( a map would be helpful). Also the bus pickup was not acceptable.

We arrived late back to the airport, delayed flight, then two missing passengers, delaying it further. So, for the 1.5hrs after midnight that we were late, I was charged another £8.50. Pretty poor show!

Struggled to find a space ,struggled to find a coach? Struggled to find the walking route to terminal. On return a week later we found the bus but no driver around so we sat on bus and waited ten mins. When he arrived he was grumpy and was too busy listening to the match .........on the radio. Only ever used Callerton with the mini bus and their approach is so friendly. I had a voucher for your parking which made it cheap but not pleasant.

If meet and greet means abandoning your car wherever you can, being met by an overworked, disinterested, distracted guy in a cabin then you have perfected it.

Arriving no problems at all. It was when we returned from our flight that we felt the service was poor. We stood with many people in the terminal bus stop for approx 10-15 minutes (people had called using the phone) waiting for the bus to take us to the long stay car park. Bearing in mind it was dark (approx 11:30pm), the bus driver was going quite fast when in the car park and ourselves and other passengers were finding it very difficult to know when to press the button to get the bus to stop. On a few occasions the driver drove past people's stops, so we went to him and told him our number in advance, so he knew to stop..... I think you need some procedure for nigh time drop offs, whether it been something to inform the driver in advance when passengers are getting on the bus or something else....???

We received a £60 fine for stopping on the road leading to the meet and greet car park and asking for directions from a passerby. Signs had indication only authorised vehicles were allowed to enter that part of the airport which is confusing. Not Happy

Much too expensive compared with other regional airports.

Price was good but there was not a single transfer bus in sight both on arrival or departure which meant walking a huge distance with two kids and carrying large amounts of luggage but my car was fine. I'd have booked the closer more expensive parking if the 'free transfer' wasn't included in the advertising of the parking.
