I use the airport frequently for work travel and it is always fine. Security in particular is often very busy but the staff are incredibly swift and - on the whole - polite and friendly. On my last trip, however, my flight was delayed due to a couple of issues where staff did not know what to do. Firstly, when at the gate, the computer system for checking boarding cards did not work and the staff took a long time to organise what to do before deciding to manually check them. Following that, the pilot could not take off because the same staff were not able to provide necessary paperwork. On return into Newcastle at the end of my working week, we could not disembark the aircraft for a considerable period of time because nobody from the airport came to meet the aircraft, despite the fact we were not early to land; in fact we were very slightly later than planned due to a minor delay at Exeter caused by the Red Arrows landing there. I often leave my car in the long stay carpark when I go off to work - this works really well for me on the whole. However, there are a couple of points I would like to make more generally about my parking experience. I don't expect there is anything you can do about them, but I do want to make you aware. Firstly, it is often quite difficult to find a parking space even though I always book in advance and that can be quite stressful. Secondly, signage on the car parks is not great and it is not always easy to navigate back to the car, especially if returning during the hours of darkness. In addition to the previous point, if you do go down the wrong parking area, there are no pedestrian paths between the car parks so you have to walk all the way back round. Finally, the pedestrian routes from the car park to the terminal building is not good at all; much of it is bumpy or on a lilt which makes it difficult to navigate when pulling a case. Also, there are quite a few areas where the path just runs out. It would also be improved if more marked crossing areas giving priority to pedestrians over on coming traffic would make it safer and easier to use.

The long stay car park remains convenient and good value but our exit was troublesome in that the barrier would not let us out on insertion of the ticket. I had my booking reference so was let out after a few minutes. Our flight was early morning so not many cars waiting to leave but this could have lead to disruption for others behind at a busier time

Airport parking ok only negative is the bus service is very very poor never there in my last 3 trips away while parking at the airport I’ve never seen or heard a bus always parked up and at 4am you just want that bus to take you to your car as it’s always a long long walk to your car with bags and baggage so get them buses running more give a better service please

I usually use the Meet & Greet car park, but as it was so expensive I tried the Premium Long Term. It was fine and easy to use. However, like all the parking options, it was ridiculously expensive. I do not accept that car parking charges should rise by the rate of inflation. You seem to be squeezing every penny you can from airport customers. Shame on you.

Parking itself was fine… but i booked a week if parking as I had no return flight and planned on amending the parking once I had a return flight. After departing I wasnt able to amend the duration and was charged £85 for 4 days parking. Extortionate

At the time we used the courtesy bus service on our landing, there was no signage to indicate where to wait for the bus, no place to call it from and as it was after midnight no persons to ask. I know renovations are taking place but surely an obvious temporary could be positioned for tired travellers to see. We have always used Newcastle Airport but Leeds Bradford is not that much further away.

Generally happy with my parking experience. As is the case every time I park there your number plate recognition system fails to read my personal number plate (usually adding the letter M on the beginning). This means every time I have the embarrassment and inconvenience of having to sit at the barrier and talk to an operative. Sort this out and it’ll be 5 stars.

Unable to find a space on entry and due to one way system had to leave and re-enter car park. This invalidated my ticket on return to newcastle.

Large section of the car park was closed which meant we had to drive around looking for a space, stressful when we had booked. Otherwise it was a car park, expensive but not too bad.

Good service but the bus service between the car park and the terminal is infrequent and the pick up point at the terminal is not adequately signposted.

Expensive and overcrowded. You take longer to find a parking space than you do going through customs.

overall good, the parking is great. it's frustrating when you land you have to get on a bus to travel 10m to the terminal, someone needs to plan arrivals better, and also change the message about the first electric bus in the UK airports!
