Short Stay Car Park 1 great to use and easy to find a space. However when leaving the machine did not recognise my ticket (again) resulting in a delay as other cars obviously had the same problem.

The car parks are in the site of the airport. It’s easy access to all Car parks with a free bus service to and from the airport . During school holidays the car parks are very busy . In recent times the cost of car parking has rose considerably however on occasions discount codes are available online which help to reduce the cost .

It was fine once we had sorted out the issue of being charged even though we had already payed online. But the person who was on call sorted it out quickly

Was a pretty good service , the barrier would not work on leaving tried numerous times and couldn’t hear the instructions from the help button but went into the ports cabin and got sorted straight away

Would’ve given full stars but on arriving back the security barrier wouldn’t lift. It was asking us for £175 when I’d paid £110. The man in the office sorted it when I showed him my order on my phone. It was Friday 4th October - Friday 11 but at your end it had until Saturday 12. Though how one more day would’ve cost £65 I don’t know. First time we’ve had anything like this but at least it was sorted .

Handy to the airport, even long stay is within walking distance. On a wet day buses run frequently to and from the terminal.

Good for convenience but becoming very expensive. When it becomes cheaper to take a taxi each way for a round trip of 70 miles than pay for a week's parking it becomes something of a dilemma. Cheaper parking alternatives will be considered as will arrangements with friends for taking each other to the airport as the needs arise on a rota basis.

Having booked the short stay car park prior to travelling I was shocked when exiting to be told I owed £256 for 7 days. However, this was quickly sorted out via the help of the car park control office who said there’d been a computer issue

Have used this service for many years and it has always worked perfectly. We only use Newcastle airport to fly as we like the airport and services provided and we are able to drive there in 45 minutes to leave our car and start our holiday. One slight glitch this year was that on trying to exist the car park when I inserted my ticket, the machine reacted as if I had not prepaid for my 2 weeks parking and tried to charge me 312.00 for my stay. I pressed the help button and explained what was happening to the operator. He checked my registration which confirmed that I had already prepaid for my stay and lifted the barrier. All resolved quickly but did shock me at first. Mistakes happen but resolved quickly and will use the long stay parking again next year.

Easy to use parking and reasonably priced (unlike many!) Good facilities and easy through security etc. The only downside is the lack of space in the lounges - paying customers seem to get priortity over those of us who actually have a pass - and that's wrong!

Good parking facilities but arrived at 4am, approach was quite dark, struggled to see signage to short stay car park 2, would be better to be more illuminated. Also car parking is becoming quite expensive

Parking is quite expensive and our number plate was read incorrectly by the ANPR system, this lead it to ask for payment as if we had just pulled up and parked. Had to press the button for assistance. Note* if it does this, and this is the second time it’s happened, make sure you have your booking ref handy. Airport itself was actually disgusting, toilets were the worst I’ve seen in 30 years of going to this airport and the bar areas are simply not cleaned during busy times.
