Overall experience was fine but instructions weren’t clear, ‘just drive up to barrier on way out’ resulted in having to reverse and speak to gatehouse to be let out- shoddy! Parking and bus service fine just instructions weren’t as described

Bus driver very good although the buses would be better with a middle door to exit, difficult to get off if you are at the back and lots of passengers standing blocking the aisles. A good price and well sign posted, would use again if flying from NCL.

I would not say happy. On the return from Monte Gordo(Faro Airport) we arrived in Newcastle at approximately 11.50pm and the directions for the long Stay Bus were strangely missing. However having found the bus the next problem was where we were s the driver did not name the car park or the stops. As it was dark this was another problem we could have done without!!!!

Price was reasonable when pre-booked. Found space eventually and did not wait long for the bus on the way to the airport. On the way back to the car following our holiday we waited an unacceptable time for the bus and when it came there were so many people waiting it was very uncomfortable. More buses should be provided.

It didn't make me happy but given there is no alternative it will have to do. Never manage to catch a bus to the terminal and have to walk, always have to go into the office on exit as white exit card never seems to work when we have pre-booked the parking.

Whilst entering the car park was straightforward getting out was more difficult. I upgraded to short stay but when I inserted my ticket I was expected to pay £180. The person I spoke to eventually accepted that I had pre paid but to be honest it wasn’t a particularly good experience to have to justify that I’d pre paid. Surely your computer system should be better than this

It is nice to be able to upgrade to the short stay car park, as it is much closer and you don't have to lug your cases on and off the bus. The downside is that invariably when we travel, it is always lashing down, so that by the time you reach the terminal building, you are soaked to the skin. Not an ideal way to start your holiday. You would think that in this day and age, particularly in light of the vast revenue the airport makes from parking, that it would use some of that to cover the short stay car park and also the drop off zone, so that passengers can start and finish their journey, completely dry. They could also make the road surface much smoother, as it is awkward dragging luggage over the present rough surface. A truly international airport would have a much higher regard for it's passengers, the very people who keep it in business. I look forward to seeing these improvements but I'm not holding my breath.

Lack of seating in the departure areas at the busiest time prevents a 5 star rating

Only limited car parks avaiable for parking, on return journey due to cones been placed in the road, bus driver could not drop us off at the designated bus stop which was near our car, we had to walk 4-5 minutes at 05.30am which I find very unacceptable when you are paying for a service.

Using the short stay carpark is convenient for the terminal building as it is just a couple of minutes walk although for the second time of us using the short stay carpark once again when exiting the carpark the ticket machine does not recognise pre booked tickets and you have to press the help button and on this occasion it took quite a while for someone to.answer

Stayed long stay, booked on line direct however had problem with vehicle number plate recognigition as barrier did not automatically lift so pressed help button for assistance . Informed to take ticket, instructions said to call at office upon leaving, although would have preferred just to leave we visited to be told probably a problem with private registration number. We have visited this car park at least 2/3 times in the last couple of years without a problem so hopefully just a one off.

Hassle free experience. However, some of the surfaces in the car parking area were very uneven and rough gravel rather than tarmac which made it difficult to pull the suitcase and damaged the wheels.

Pricing of all services way to expensive. Car park pricing is a joke - have a standard fee that is fair and reasonable without random discount codes. Everything air-side is overpriced due to captive audience.

The car park service was fairly standard. My only real concern was being misled where the car was to be parked. When booking, an area opposite the front of the Airport was indicated. This was certainly not the case. The terminal area has certainly changed for the worse in the last 12/18 months. It has added another 200 yards walking distance to boarding areas. Such a shame, its getting to be like any other airport. I used to enjoy it.

Used meet and and greet car park. Cone in front of entrance at entry time and spent a few mins trying to get in via next lane. Had to get out in the snow and rain deluge to get the barrier lifted at the reception desk. Not a great start. Was fine returning though

At the moment of leaving the airport on 02/04/18 at 22:00 aprox (whilst it was raining heavily) the exit barrier did not lift up as the vehicle registration was not recognised. I spend several minutes waiting for the operator to answer. To be fair, it was the first time this has happened to me. Hope it will not happen again. Regards,

There was a problem when issuing tickets which meant you had to go to the office upon return to validate your ticket and that was the last thing you want to do when returning from holiday with a small child on your own with cases

The only thing the airport lacks is destinations. If there were more long haul destinations available then the airport would surely grow and match the fantastic services it already provides.
