“We always have an issue leaving the car park, the barrier never lifts and we can be waiting for the intercom to be answered for a few minutes, once we’ve given our reference number the barrier is lifted but it’s so frustrating.”

“Only issue i have is passport control - takes far too long compared with other airports - particularly when there is more than 1 plane arriving at the same time. Not well thought out introduction of scanners that don`t seem to reflect demand.”

“Great Airport except the Border control on returning. Only 5 automated passport readers!! Just not enough resulting in delays at the end of a journey. All other airports seem to be better resourced in this area. If more than one flight arrives at the same time you are in for a long wait”

“Really good service but would of preferred on return for your car to be in the bays where you put it on arrival. My husband is disabled and that would of been of great benefit to me.”

“Very easy to get through the airport. Would give another star but for the point listed below. Having to take shoes off at security is an annoyance. I have a resurfaced hip (metal) and travel quite a lot and Newcastle is the only airport where I need to remove shoes. It is also the only UK airport I currently use.”

“Used long stay carpark. Pick up /drop off bus service was good but pick up stop was not clearly marked due to ongoing work in airport.Number recognition for leaving was great.”

“An airport that is forever changing. Very modern and clean. The only issue I feel and it's like other airports, parking prices are becoming restrictive. Living quite local Consett it will soon be cheaper to take a taxi rather than park up.”

“the new long term parking facility is easy to use with frequent shuttle service, the Shuttle has moved now at the terminal and is signed outside the middle doors, the parking bays are wide enough for large cars and SUVs, the 24hr service I have used many times now and find it a lot more effective, the East car park is under some changes and the west car parks are most efficient”
