“Like some of you who left a comment, I too was taken in by the Fast Invest adventure. I started investing in January 2021 and I must say that the return on investment was more than conclusive. Then I wanted to test the withdrawal to make sure everything was OK to continue, and that's when the trouble started. At the time of registration, there were no particular rules, but a few months later, it was impossible to make a full withdrawal of the sums available for investment. We had to proceed in increments of around €47000. Which is what I did every month. I contacted Fast Invest several times at the end of 2021 and the answer was always that they were in difficulty but that the money would be paid out. On 29/12/2023, they closed all withdrawal requests with the reason "return to account". On my account, I can see them in the debts category. I was frustrated until I came across a legal forensic team (mustanggg. com) who helped me recover my money. They trace and recover datas, blocked accounts and money. Their powerful recovery tool has empowered me to share their good deed.”
“They will use every trick in the book to entice you in, collect your deposits for themselves, and then vanish with the last penny. When I eventually found S_I_M_O_N_C_H.C_O_M, my attempt to get my money back was successful. After working on my issue for a few weeks, he resolved it quickly and professionally and gave me my full refund.”
“I made my monthly payment to New Day by faster payments on the day before it was due. I paid off the whole amount and paid it from my Lloyds account, as on this occasion. I then received a late fee plus interest of their erroneous view of the amount outstanding ,as my "payment was not made". I trust my bank (Lloyds) but not New Day. I therefore called Lloyds who answered immediately and couldn't have been more helpful in contrast to New Day. They confirmed that the payment had been made by me from my Lloyds account to New Day's account, but that their computer (ie New Day's) had returned it to Lloyds. Lloyds view was a probably computer malfunction. I am at my wits end with this New Day company. They issue late charges like confetti, even when there is proof that the payment was made on the due date and now even when the payment has been made but their computer hasn't recognised it and sent it back and still charged a late fee! As for New Day saying (on this review site "sorry, what went wrong?", just look at the reviews on this site New Day and you tell me what went right!”
“Terrible company! Awful customer service and nearly impossible to get through to speak to somebody. If you do get through, they are totally hopeless and unhelpful. If you raise a complaint, needless to say they won't be able to uphold it! They say they will give full details but they just give meaningless platitudes. I have had a John Lewis Partnership card for 18 years and had no problems until they got Newday to take it over and nothing but problems since. It is really bad for the reputation of John Lewis & Waitrose to be associated with such a badly run company. Doesn't anyone from John Lewis ever get to read the comments on here?!”
“For those of you, like me, collected reward points via Debenhams (Newday) Credit Card and then converted them in to digital vouchers to spend at debenhams.com....
Be alert! Be aware! You won't be able to use them at all. I've tired myself contacting Debenhams via every possible manner and have had no luck. They'll make up everything and anything. Also never make the mistake to buy anything from Debenhams online. If you can get the exact same product from another reliable retailer and if it's a couple of pound more, then buy from elsewhere and not Debenhams. Because, if for any reason you need to contact Debenhams, you'll go through hell and a complete nightmare. Debenhams don't have a number for contacting. Stick to other stores. Debenhams have the most poor customer service one can imagine. Stay clear or regret!
Newday credit card are part of this big scam!”
“I lost up to $55k while trading on Binary Options. I tried getting my money out from the option broker account and was unable to place a withdrawal. I found my self wading through excessively complicated terms which seemed impossible to meet, all because I traded with an unregulated broker. I did not panic, I have good news . I lost over $55k to an unregulated broker who stocked my trading capital and denied me access to my account. I have recovered all my lost funds, through the help of a certified recovery expert. If assistance is needed, kindly get in contact with {frecuperations@ gmail. com} and you will be guided on effective steps to take and get back all your lost funds in few days.”
“Twice recently in different stores card declined. When trying to contact New Day no one to speak to just automated response keep asking is card lost or stolen. Husband also had problems with his card being declined. Will change cards.”
“Dreadful company I have NEVER been able to use the John jewis new day credit card in any of the JL stores without it being declined BEFORE I put the PIN code in. New day insist the card is valid unblocked and not cancelled. An hour and a half wasted yesterday trying to buy sofas with the new day fraud team insisting 6 times that the card should work but it did not! For 50 years I’ve never had a problem with my JL account and then the JL credit cards managed by visa and mastercard. Why are JL working with such a poorly managed and low tech credit card company? I have received no explanation or apology from new day and I’ve lost out of £3500 worth of JL points as I had to use my mastercard to make the purchase. I’d like to say shove the card but too ok do so would negatively impact my credit score through no fault of my own. Disgraceful company.”
“Had a John Lewis credit card for 20 years plus. Pay all balance every month, never missed. Had a large credit limit for 18 years. Reduced it to avoid exposure from fraud and was told I could increase back up at time. Recently requested to increase to original level. No change in circumstances and 99% Experian rated. New Day refused to increase back to what it was. Totally disgusted as not only was I advised I could revert to my original credit limit when I wanted to but I was never advised I could be refused an increase. I would never have decreased it in the first place if I had known that. The call handler was blunt and basically called me a liar. There should be a way John Lewis is made aware of how New Day treats its customers.”
“Newday owe me £1,805. Was told this would take 2-10 days to process. I waited 10 days and was told it would take another 2-10 days. I waited 10 days. I was then told that they never operate on a 2-10 days format. Payments will be made in 7-10 working days. I waited. Still nothing. Still waiting and they still owe me £1,805.”
“I set my monthly payment to go to Newday on 1st April this being the due date. This happened to be a bank holiday, so my payment didn't reach them until 2nd April. The idiots then blocked my credit card, and showed that I had insufficient funds remaining on my credit card. This was a complete nonsense as my credit limit was £10,000 and the balance on my card was around £3,500. They claimed that they do this when the payment doesn't reach them on the due date. In my experience card companies do not block ones card until the credit limit is exceeded, and there is a track record of missed payments. In my case i have always paid promptly, and never exceeded my credit limit. I cannot understand how John Lewis cames to go into partnership with this lot. They are incompetent.”
“Only given them 1 star so I could write this. John Lewis, how did you ever come to move your card over to this lot. Frequently my card, and that of my wife, do not work when tapping, the credit limit given was slashed from when HSBC provided the service, the call agents can't give a sensible answer when the 'increase credit limit' automatically says 'no'. The pain of changing supplier is high but this lot are trashing your reputation. Admit it, you made a mistake, and bin them.”
“Absolutely dire. Don't touch.
After years of paying regularly, have been unwell and unable to pay. They have failed to send forms for two months, then sent incorrect ones, but still managing to send harassing letters even thought the account is on hold. An absolute disgrace of a company.”
“They throw the money at you then they want it back quick or the push you into a payment plan. They are just a crooked company so get a decent card with a good bank as they don’t behave like new day cards. They are just conn artists.”
“Hopeless. Refused a very minor increase in credit despite always paying on time. Impossible to get an explanation. Long list of possible reasons given, none of which apply so none the wiser.”
“I was not contacted by New Day or John Lewis to say that there were possible fraudulent transactions on my card. I only found out when trying to check my acoount online and being denide access. Never use again.”
“Terrible. Awful credit limit despite paying in full each month. High interest charges and the app does not update when you have made a payment to show the reduced payment balance outstanding. Still says the original amount. If it wasn’t for the vouchers this card would definitely be getting cancelled. It still might! Come on John Lewis please change providers before you lose more loyal customers.”
