They should not be trading at present. Basicaly dump massively overpacked and heavy stuff on your doorstep leaving you to sort itout. Currently impossible for us to get it upsatairs and the amount of polysyrene used is somemting to behold. They don't empahsise this. If you must, wait until they do a proper service otherwise best avoid.

Spent over 3,000 with this company and we paid an extra 10% on top for insurance to cover our goods. However, 2 years or so later, we tried to make a claim due to moving into our parents who have 2 dogs, had soiled on our mattress which cost £800! When I had made the claim, I was told I would receive an email that I had to fill in due to a different name(married) and changed address to which I done. I was also told that I would need to fill out the claims form and I would hear back about arranging a engineer to come out. I did not hear or receive anything. I rang back several times to which I kept getting told I will receive this email blah blah blah! In the end, the costumer representative said to me that because he can see I have rang numerous times regarding our soiled mattress, he will arrange to send an engineer to assess the situation which happened. The engineer seemed ok but said we should have a chance of getting a replacement due to the complications and the state of the mattress to then received a letter to explain that it is not covered even though when buying the furniture in store, they said that accidental damage is in fact covered! We rang them to find out exactly why it wasn’t covered and they said that because of where it was (in the garage) we could not claim. We had expressed that it was stored in the garage due to wanting for soo long for a reply and the space in our house, thats why it was stored in the garage. They were rude and unprofessional on the phone towards my husband and agreed that the phone call would not be resolved. We then went to the store in Taunton and spoke to the very gentleman that sold us our furniture and he said that we should have been covered. He suggested we ring the ombudsmen direct and go from there. We did this. A week or so later, received a letter to say we are in fact not eligible!! The morale of the story is DO NOT PAY EXTRA FOR CLAIMS!! It really isn’t worth it. It is still currently sat in our garage after a year and still paying the furniture off!!!

This has been the WORST COMPANY(Oak Furnitureland) I ever had to deal with. Planned to buy a number of items from them with intentions of buying a number more, especially being taken in/ CONNED by their ads of being a friendly and reputable company. 1st visit was not a good one as, as soon as my wife and I entered the store, the sales people were like vultures, zooming in for the sales kill. We decided to give them one more chance and this time, bit of a better experience as we were allowed to browse without the sales people attacking. Found a few items we wanted and decided to go ahead with the purchase however was told that delivery would be 3 months away. Waiting for the 'big day' which finally came, I took some time off work, waiting and waiting and only at the end of the day after a number of calls from my wife, she was finally told that the delivery won't take place due to heavy winds. It was really POOR of the delivery team/ Oak Furnitureland to not give us the courtesy of calling to advise that delivery was not going ahead and we only found out after telephonic persistence from my other half. Asking for priority timing(so as not to waste my time waiting for them or further loss of work time), was met with ZERO budge and just utter disinterest from the complaints team which I would go as far as finding them as just rude. Even one of their product had to be returned due to a defect and that was another mission having to deal with. The complaints department have not dealt with my complaint properly either. Dealing with William Mills at customer relations was a joke! Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. Having bought a new property, I've lost all hope with Oak Furnitureland furnishing my house and will never shop there again and we both have been actively discouraging family/friends/ work colleagues from doing business with them. A DISGUSTING COMPANY!!! (Better experience with another company - Save money and get far better service from the number of other online companies. I had not long after that terrible experience, bought a lovely TV stand from Oakcity and despite some delivery issues, they were profusely apologetic and prioritised our service.)

Dishonest sales practices. We were told to purchase our bedroom suite before Sunday because the sale was going to end. Ever since, it has been on sale at about the same price - always ending on Sunday. This week, it is in another sale being advertised as at the "lowest price ever" but is more expensive than last week! Plus - our furniture was delivered in a terrible state and we are still trying to get them to replace some of the damaged items.

The tops of wooden back chairs have very sharp corners and constantly bruise your arms if you are not careful. extremely bad finishing to corners, would advise all potential customers to look very carefully at this point, when purchasing dining chairs, Table was ok, my advice to people, is to bear in mind that the furniture is displayed in stores with lots of space around them, however when set out in a dining area etc, you may not have masses of spare space around the furniture to be able to give it a wide enough space to avoid passing the furniture without catching your arms on the chair tops as you pass by. we find it quite a problem. which is why we shall be replacing the chairs with a type made by a different manufacturer

Dreadful Service from Day 1 DPA BREACH ON DAY 1 - one of their agents sent a fellow customer through to my phone who was querying her previous purchase - should have known from this moment they were dreadful. DELAYED PURCHASE - I couldn't buy my furniture until I knew my details were not posted on the OFL website which meant my delivery date was pushed back a day 7 WEEK WAIT - Why? There is absolutely no reason in this day and age to be forced to wait 7 weeks for sofas. RADIO SILENCE - their escalation manager couldn't do enough for me up to the point I paid £1500 - now, i can't get through to her. NO INTEREST in following up on promise to 'speed up delivery' NO EXPLANATION - Text to say my delivery is not coming, but no reason why, no re-arrangement, no call from customer service, nothing.

They talked us into accepting a large piece of furniture, saying that they could not get it up the stairs but (once we'd unpacked it) we would be able to do it easily. Hours later, hurt backs etc. and we've just had to get a removals guy round to help us. Not straight with us: they should have said it won't go up around the landing bannister. Instead they talked us into it so they didn't have to process a return. Customer support wouldn't budge on the phone. Charge to return the furniture. Packaging quantities (particularly polystyrene) is absolutely sick. Go elsewhere, anywhere. Utter, utter, utter ba***rds.

I wouldn't even give them one star to be honest. Terrible customer service. Will never shop with you again. Not willing to budge on their 'rules' even when we have previously placed a £4700 approx order and had damage issues. You were still unable to accommodate. My husband has had to take time out of work which he has lost a lot of money for waiting for a deliveries. We requested a pm delivery and got delivery slot between 10.30 and 13.30. No sympathy for their customers who are paying a lot of money for this. Absolutely infuriating. They only rang 10 minutes before arrival when they said it would be a call half an hour before hand. I already told the lady on customer service it would be my husband who had to come home from his job who is self employed. They rang and I said my husband was about 25 minutes away, they got quite annoyed and snotty with me and said it would have to do. So my husband has just turned up at home and they are not even there. Never will I shop here again. Worst service ever. I can't believe how much money I've paid for this shoddy service

The table was beautiful, but I am so disappointed with the delivery. It was very expensive and was literally just dumped in my lounge . The packaging wasn’t removed or taken away. I wasn’t given the option of having the furniture unpacked and I had to call my son to come over with his drill as it wasn’t just a case of taking it out of the box. If my son wasn’t available I would have had a very expensive cardboard box. If I’d realised it was just delivery I would have picked it up myself, and left the incredible amount of packaging in the store instead of my front garden. I have had furniture delivered by other retailers , it’s always been unpacked, put together and left in situ. I won’t be using oak furniture land again because of the delivery, which is sad. There should be options to have just delivery for between £5 and £10 or for the money I paid unpacked, put in situ and the packaging removed.

I have placed my first order few months ago. Hove Natural Oak and Painted 3+4 Chest of Drawers arrived damaged and after few weeks on phone I have got the replacement, which arrived damaged again. Took few more weeks to return it back. In order to deal with those deliveries and returns I was forced to take days off and never been compensated for that. Few weeks ago I placed another order and .... It arrived damaged again. I was very furious to get such a poor products again in a row. Customer service super unprofessional,so be prepared. Pictures on website look great, but real products are far from what you see. Would strongly recommend to consider your next order.

DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE. Bought a display cabinet to display my partners Lladro that was left to her by her late parents, only had a few weeks when shelf fell onto the ornaments breaking them. Oak furniture land tried to say it was our fault as we hadn't bee's waxed the item on arrival. They sent out an independent inspector who informed us that the display cabinet was in fact faulty and the shelf had split and been glued back into place either at the manufacturers or oak furniture lands warehouse. Oak furniture land after 3 weeks of phoning and not being allowed to speak to a manager, (they always seemed to be in a meeting), offered me £50 as a good will gesture for the broken Lladro, which is very rare and valueable, what an insult!!!

The delivery arrived on the day booked. The delivery driver came in and explained how the delivery would go, he then looked at the bottom of my stairs and said it may be tight but they would try. After unpacking one of my wardrobes he noticed a crack in the wood, telling me this would have to be returned, the two delivery lads then tried to get the wardrobe up the stairs but it wouldn’t fit, so disappointingly I asked them to return the delivery. After speaking to their office I was informed that there would be a returns charge of 25% on each product plus £25 on the smaller chest of drawers costing me over £250. For them to deliver it’s free but if you require express delivery they charge £39. So where they get the 25% plus charge from is beyond me. They state in the T&C section 9.8.1 To ensure there is adequate doorway and stair access which I did using the measurements provided in store and online and as my house is a modern 3 bedroom semi I didn’t expect any issues. The drivers stated that they get this issue a lot, I would surmise that Oak Furniture land earn a lot of money from returns. BE AWARE OF THESE CHARGES BEFORE YOU BUY as they won’t tell you about the return charges in the showroom. I payed for an express delivery of £39 I’d expect a return charge of no more than £39. I will never buy from or recommend this company to anyone.

Would strongly advise against using this company. We spent over £2,000 on 2 new sofas. Both sofas arrived damaged. Really hard to get through on the phone as sat in queues for over half an hour and customer services arent open at the weekend. The replacement sofas were also damaged so had to take a third afternoon off work to wait for another replacement. All this took months to sort. Will never use again.

Having had the furniture for only eight months the hinges on the storage foot stool are buckling. They are poorly made hinges without a single solid bar, the pressure from the gas struts either side have caused them to bend, Oak furniture land are refusing to repair under warranty has I have on occasion sat on the foot stool. The insurance cover oak Furniture land sell are refusing to replace the hinges as it is a fault found within the manufacturers warranty period. I would not recommend Oak Furniture Land to anyone.

Ordered a Sofa in November 2017 which arrived as previously arrived in February 2018. OakFurnitureland Sofas have removal backs and are supplied in very large cardboard boxes. The Customer is expected to construct the parts of the Sofa themselves. Similar to an Ikea flatpack. This would have been beyond my capabilities because of the weight. The delivery men had to remove the two parts from the box to gain access and installed the back to the base of the Sofa. As soon as they left I found the back to be unsecured due to a fault, I asked the drivers to return but they refused. I was told that I had to telephone customer services (And found this to be a premium rate number costing £0.20 per minute. Customer Services were unable to provide a date when a representative could call as they are booked many weeks ahead. Rejected the goods and returned for a full refund. They do not seem to care.

Couldn't order the combination I wanted, sales staff very unhelpful. Customer Service also unhelpful. Furniture delivered is of very poor quality, creases everywhere. The 'free' scatter cushions were awful. About to order new bedroom furniture but it certainly won't be from Oak Furniture.
