Boxes for the whiskey bottles were damaged as they were forced into a holder for a bottle and not a box. So the wrong packaging was used. Very disappointed as I am a collector and it has now been devalued as the box in no more good.

This is not a review of the wine but of the delivery experience... Having been informed by DPD that the order would be delivered around lunchtime today (07.04.2021), I was phoned at 1.45pm by a neighbour living about 0.5miles away asking if I had ordered a package from O'Brien's which had been dropped (literally) outside their house without any contact from the courier. She subsequently delivered the package to me. In the meantime I had called DPD Galway and explained the delivery experience. The person I spoke with acknowledged that this was unacceptable and apologised on behalf of the company, and said that she would 1) call the courier and 2) inform a manager. She particularly acknowledged that it is unacceptable to leave a package containing alcohol in an unsupervised public place, which could be accessed by children or young people. I acknowledge that we live in a remote location and that the eircode map is misleading, but my mobile phone number was attached to the order, I was at home at the time of delivery and I could easily have advised the courier of our location had he phoned me. On 25/3/21 I ordered 2 bottles Monte Real Rioja to be delivered to my sister in Malahide. A few days later 1 bottle was delivered and to date, NO other bottle was delivered. WHY, (in the name of God) would you split -up such a small order? Please check out this order....WO_5181103. and let me know when, or IF this order is fulfilled. Bernard Mc Ardle.

Ordered and paid for Hennessey VSOP but Remy Martin delivered. Very disappointed as this was a birthday gift.

My rating above has nothing to do with your wine. Please refer to email which I have sent this afternoon to DPD and which I have copied to O'Briens. I have now collected the wine and I am sure it will be fine but the experience with DPD has been totally unsatisfactory. I have also been frustrated in my efforts to make contact with O'Briens, which I tried to do when I was unable to contact DPD. I dialled 01 2693139 and 0850 269 777 a number of times but was unable to talk to a real person about my problem.

We are extremely annoyed. We know there are new payment arrangements by the banks because of fraud, nevertheless your website in this context is not up to speed for customers who are older. You asked for a phone number and we submitted the number of the recipient of the gift,believing it was for delivery instructions. When we were transferred to the payment site, the payment was rejected because the number didn't relate to us. The recipient was texted and believing it was a scam, had to cancel his credit card. Very embarrassing for us as the cost of the gift was probably made known. Kind regards Patrick n Rose Mc Glynn

I have sent two emails to O'briens about my delivery this time to Ireland . Last time by DPD took 2 days, by UPS 5 days and to try and justify it UPS said tried to deliver. Not so, I was talking to the postman then and 7 CCTV cameras also did not see casper the ghost. Truth is UPS only deliver when they can make multiple drops, making it worthwhile for them. They are useless! Sadly, I have told O'briens never again.

Received order box in disrepair, have emailed about replacement as product is worthless now. Package was negligently packaged, the damage was inevitable as a result. Very disappointed and hope the matter will be resolved and I will receive a replacement box for the product.

Hi, This supposed to be a gift and instead of receiving the box from the order with 2 glasses and a message, it was delivered just the bottle of whiskey in a round case. Very disappointed :(

All items were not received - missing items were Lagunitas Daytime 35.5cl Can 4 pack and is proving difficult to contact O' Briens. The O'Briens invoice/delivery docket received indicated "0" quantity for this item yet the order online stated fulfilled and I was charged even though your own invoicing system recognised you had not supplied the item.
