Maariyah was very helpful setting up my new account and if it proceeds with the same efficiency with which Maariyah handled my enquiry I no doubt will be very pleased, I can't give any company 5☆ until an account is live and I've experienced their customer service 🙂

Was moved to Octopus years ago have never had any issues with them. Seems from others experience rapid growth absorbing customers from failed customers they could have coped with better. As to smart meters they have accepted my not interested in the flawed 'smart' meter role out,cost imposed on all of us through our bills. Feedback here seems at odds with the Trustpilot and other online feedback. several I know with Octopus find them acceptable

Dreadful customer service. 7 months and my £3000 electricity bill for 4 weeks is not sorted . Moved into bungalow after seriouse health diagnosis. 4 weeks later Boom . Despite paying monthly as well. I was also an existing customer for years . Apparently there were 2 meters (there wasn't) . Had new smart meter fitted. All was well for a few weeks . Dept was removed. Last week there it was again. Spoke to Caroline, dept was removed. Next day it was back again. They asked for pics of meter because they said they didn't know when the dodgy one was removed ! It may have been another company who removed it. Luckily there's a great big sticker giving date removed by OCTOPUS 🐙.. The stress I'd Dreadful. Oh and had an estimated bill for £2800 on new meter when digits were 00455.Laughingly they said I'd used less electricity than estimated . Beggars belief . They didn't make me happy

So, let me tell you about this crazy situation I found myself in. I had invested a significant amount of money in this company, thinking it would be a great opportunity to make some extra cash. But then things took a turn for the worse, and suddenly I couldn't withdraw my funds and they could not give me a reasonable reason for that other than asking for my personal information which is kinda weird. I was freaking out, until a friend recommended Mrs. Charlotte Scotte and her remarkable team to help me out. Let me tell you, they were lifesavers! They worked tirelessly to retrieve my money from the company, and after some back and forth, I finally got it back. I can't thank them enough for their expertise and persistence in getting me what was rightfully mine. There are a lot of untrue recommendations and it’s hard to tell who is legit. If you have lost money to scam contact Mrs.Doris Ashley and her team, they will surely help you out. It took me a long time to find them. I was very confused about a bill I received ,I text Octopus and it was sorted immediately by a very kind lady, 3 days later I recieved a beautiful bouquet of flowers from them , so very kind and caring, I would recommend them to all, thankyou so much Octopus. A company that cares ,very rare these days .

The switch from Bulb was very easy as i didn't have to actually do anything. The emails were written in plain English and the account set up was very simple and access to dashboards was available very quickly. The one aspect that is not quite as clear is the interim 'energy usage' emails which come at a different time to when my payment gets taken and which separate out gas and electric so they can be a bit confusing still as it doesn't give a total usage amount in one email.

Communication with Octopus is a hit and miss affair. You dont always get the answers to your questions, even when they promise to get back to you. The solar team is particularly poor at this,the heat pump team is better.

Octopus energy got my tariffs the wrong way, first charging me £520. This was after phoning them previously to swap them round. I rung again and was put through to a very helpful lady called Tate. She sent a test through to check which meter is which & promised this will be fixed. She also sent me an email after to follow up. A very friendly voice and explained everything throughly. When calling to see of octopus had received the new readings I was put through to Molly who helped fix my bill with the correct tariffs and change it their end. She was exceptional and quick! As I’m on economy 7 with storage heaters my bill is around £300 a month, so it’s expensive even if I switched to a different company. However octopus is easy to get through too & the phone handlers are very polite.

Have been with Octopus a couple of years, and before I moved here, I was about 2 years with them at old address. They have been good to deal with. Cannot understand why other people are having trouble. I never give 5 * as most companies can improve a little. Kingstonianlawrence.

I have just moved over Octopus Energy and so far so good. Everything is straightforward. My only issue has been the DD amount they recommended when I switched which increased by double from £135 to £270 a month.

I can see from other reviews there's frustration at customer service response times. I'm actually waiting on a response from them to an email at the moment. Has been a day so far, so we'll see how that goes! Otherwise, we've been really chuffed with Octopus - green electricity, clear communication, saved a bundle, and switched with ease. If anyone's thinking of switching, get £50 added to your Octopus account when you switch using my referral link: share.octopus.energy/metal-jay-986 I think you can withdraw the £50 too, not just spend it on your energy bill.
