“This is my original review (During retirement I have been working at learning blues and jazz piano for a little over 4 years now. I have mixed reviews of my own progress but I am using the Open Studio Beginner Jazz series to kind of test my knowledge so far and see if I have any significant gaps, and also to provide some new material for motivation purposes. So far I am finding it both challenging and enjoyable, the Etudes being the biggest source of new material so far. If things continue on the current trajectory I will move my rating up to 5 stars.). I have since worked through the Jazz Jump Start and again found it challenging and enjoyable. I have worked on some other areas such as Enclosues. If all subsequent lessons are as effective as these I will be thrilled. I really like the GPS.”

“Best thing since sliced bread! I am only on lesson three of the 27 etudes and my voicings and technique have already shown great improvement. I graduated from a three year college jazz program about 15 years ago and was never happy with my sound because while I learned a great deal of theory, I was never shown how to apply it, so there was no context. Thanks ever so much for this program. I love it!!”
